If you have an original Zune, you could still upgrade its parts! Just remove two screws, and you can remove the plastic back shell. The battery connector should also be the same as the iPod’s ZIF connector, and any PATA ZIF drive will also work, as long as you initialize it with Zune software. On the 80 and 120GB models, the battery is soldered in sadly.

The Pan Am name and logo were used on a railroad in the northeastern United States from 2006 to 2022. The transportation company, known as Guilford Transportation Industries since its incorporation in 1981, purchased the name, logo, and colors of Pan Am World Airways in 1998 and started using them on their railroad equipment in 2006. How can you mention the demise of Pan Am and not mention Flight 103-the 747 blown up by a terrorist bomb over Lockerbie, Scotland? They declared bankruptcy less than two years later, in no small part because people were afraid to fly on their planes. The image of the broken nose of a 747 laying in a field with the Pan Am name and blue meatball clearly visible is absolutely unforgettable. Since it was terrorism, not an accident, that image was shown on the news regularly for years.

@macmedic892
@macmedic892 Год назад
@@cassandrakarpinski9416 I think the flying public is more forgiving for that, especially because it was largely due to weather and pilot error on KLM's part. Any fallout from that was long gone by the time they went bankrupt. Pan Am 103 was different. It was a terrorist attack and people were afraid to fly on Pan Am because they were worried they'd be blown up. Pan Am didn't really have a domestic network--they focused on international flights. They were also crippled due to a fear of terrorism following the invasion of Kuwait in 1990. They filed for bankruptcy in January 1991--just over a year after Pan Am 103.

I remember visiting his home, which was really a mansion, in a very exclusive community around San Francisco in 1991, where the likes of José Canseco and MC Hammer lived. They talk about the downfall of Netscape, but while Microsoft is mentioned, what's not mentioned is AOL's (America Online) possible collusion in that downfall. AOL's browser was always a scaled down version of Internet Explorer, even after they purchased Netscape, their main browser was that scaled down version of Internet Explorer if you used AOL as your ISP. Prior to AOL buying it, Netscape created the Mozilla organization which continued it's browser development, even after AOL broke off from the group. Mozilla would then create the Firefox browser. You could say that Firefox was the child of Netscape.

I remember having a Zune I got from a gf and I loved being able to send other people music that had zunes me and my friend would do that all the time. This was back in about 2007. Was cool for it’s time but I of course loved my iPod

Honorable mention: Midway Games while the people running it like Ed Boon for example left and created a replacement brand for video game creation called Netherrealm Studios there's no denying that Midway Games was the dominant force in arcade games during the 90's and early 2000's with Mortal Kombat, Cruisn, Gauntlet and many others .

@@lukeyarasheski5510 I didn't leave it out I just didn't specify it when i ended my original comment with the words 'and many others' considering there were countless arcade games under the Midway Games banner. one example of a franchise i didn't mention was the racing games with the common end word Thunder such as Hydro Thunder and Arctic Thunder.

@@RevanSecura I was just saying that Blitz was a great game. Not that you're an idiot for not knowing every game they hadn't produced
@RevanSecura
@RevanSecura Год назад
@@lukeyarasheski5510 I had played Blitz The League at one point but it never got me interested in that franchise even though I had played my fair share of Madden NFL prior to that. personally i find it tragic that Midway games collapsed when they had a lot of great franchises that were stagnating while Mortal Kombat, Gauntlet and Cruisn got the bulk of the development attention.

A top 10 or more would be cool to see discontinued car brands or famous discontinued models. I forget the name but that one model that "killed Pontiac" or even the history of the impala that has recently been discontinued by chevy. I still own a scion which has been discontinued.

I'm not really sure if it belongs on this list, but Tristar could have been here too. It wasn't so much that you would buy a Tristar movie because it was Tristar, but it was a company the made movies and eventually went bankrupt and sold to Columbia because they couldn't keep up with the higher prices of heavy CGI movies.
