Yeah when I was going to through all the games and writing down maps I might put on the list I noticed that I was always writing down more maps on treyarch games
That’s because you guys are clearly into the 3arc games more than the IW ones. Whereas if I made a list, it would predominantly be IW maps. Because they made the best CoDs for me. CoD4, MW2 & 3 > WaW, BO1 & 2 for me easilyyyyy. MW2 is my top CoD, BO1 is my second favourite though. And tbh with you, BO1 is the only 3arc game I’ve truly loved.

@@AcidLightning jungle was always one of my favorites actually. Easily top 5 for bo1. The amount of good memories from that map is infinite for me. B on jungle was when u needed a flack jacket rusher with a smoke grenade.
hackney yard is hella underrated i used to hate in mw2019 but when it released on cod mobile i realized it was more of a game issue lmao would love to see it be in a new cod a few years from now
I feel like game issue is still a contributing factor to a maps quality. Like, if a maps designed well, but doesn’t fit in the game, is it still a good map? Hackney yard still hits tho, used to love it
MW19 was one the best cods ever in many ways, but also one of the worst in other areas. Map design and spawns being its two biggest issues. I no-lifed search in that game after a few months in the life cycle and played it for 2 more years with all my friends after. Didn't have to worry about spawns in search lol and Hackney was one of the best search maps easily
Honestly the only issue that I have with this list is Terminal being ranked so high, and above two FAR better maps (Raid/Standoff). Terminal played awful in every mode aside from domination in OG MW2, and it plays awfully in every mode in the current MW3. Map design is terrible, having two long ass funnels for people to go with zero flank potential, and people to post up and easily control the lanes without moving just makes anything play bad. Many of the honorable mentions are significantly better than Terminal has ever been. Other than that though, I can mostly agree with this list. I think Backlot from COD4 got a bit snubbed, as it played so well in any game mode. I also very much appreciate you recognizing the greatness of Grind
@@AscendARI like the list overall! I just despised AW and what it did to COD. the downfall of cod started with it (chasing the clout of other games, I.e. titan fall, instead of sticking to what mad COD great)
Man I loved Hunted! The colors, the water movement, the vibrant colors and the cave. Idk what it is man, but bo3 slapped hard when it came to vibrant maps.
Needs more CoD 4 maps imo. Vacant is probably my favorite map, glad to see it at least in mentions. Strike is great. Downpour is criminally underrated. Bog, Bloc and Countdown are great for sniper matches, although you need lobby with solid players on both sides for it to be fun and not spawnr*pe. God I love that game.
If you ask me the best map of all time is hijacked cause it’s a lot like nuketown but it fix’s some issues like adding more routes and more spots to out maneuver people
Hijacked did add the underground route and has a slightly more protected route on the outside. But I like the Nuketown houses and middle of the map more because it has better cover with the vehicles. You really have to nitpick to argue which of these maps is better because they’re both great
Rust is the best cod small map there is imo. Hard to forgive putting it as an honorable mention... I'd place it straight in nº 1 of the list personally Then Carrier from bo2 and Urban from advanced warfare are like top 10 maps ever for me, I see them extremely underrated. And almost every map on advanced warfare and black ops 3 is goated, they are overlooked because they are designed for advanced movement
I will agree that some of maps from advanced movement games are underrated because of their designs sometimes focusing on features to work with the advanced movement
@@timdoyle1638 How so? I can see how the verticality made it hard to predict people sometimes and the yellow two-story building always had campers but I found it to be very nice for both close and long distance rushing with a healthy amount of complexity if you knew where to go in the map.
Notice how the good maps are the ones that dont have lines of sight that are too long, but rather have flanking routes and corners that force people to move a bit more
All those maps you picked from WW2 are great but never forget GUSTAV CANON is an another iconic map that can control any side of the spawns from all around the map from just controlling the canon position
Great list I know that has to be extremely difficult to put together. You gotta have Rust on the list somewhere it’s top 3 most iconic COD maps of all time. Not necessarily the best but certainly iconic and recognizable.

So, Combine was added either this season or last in CoD Mobile. The wall run flank route had walkable platforms added to the walls to you can still use those routes to flank, and my God, the map still plays well, even without Advanced movements. Unfortunately, the Combine Playlist was also a constant clan node so it was incredibly sweaty all the time. So it was hard to really enjoy the map. So Fringe really shouldn't be out of the question, really any of the BO3 maps that weren't super advanced movement speed heavy could be brought back.
I enjoyed this list but I have to say I disagree so much. There's so many amazing maps from BO1, BO2, MW2 and more which are much better than any map from Ghosts or WWII in my opinion. Whilst a map like Warhawk is good for Ghosts and London Docks being good for WWII, do you truly think it's better than a map like Plaza on BO2, Breach from BO3, Afghan or even Skidrow from MW2?
Agree with so much of this list. Call of Duty map design peaked with the prominence of mid sized 3 lane maps Black Ops 1-3. Makes the BO6 (beta) maps all the more puzzling. Not the same Treyarch.
Got to the honorable mentions and didn't see firing range and I really though it might've been forgotten just cuz how much hype you were giving nuketown in the #3 spot. Wish radiation or launch got an honorable mention though, such unique maps in bo1
Ngl I find flat 3 lane maps extremely boring. Give me maps that have more than 2 stories, parts you can climb on or over, dynamic map elements like water to swim in or destructible parts like in Ghosts, and even map hazards like chasms or the lava from that one BO2 map. Anytime I see just a 3 lane map with no verticality, invisible walls everywhere, and no interesting cover options, I get so bored so quick. I would much prefer a map like say Pipeline from COD4 or even Perplex from Advanced Warfare over a map like Shoot House from MW2022

Roundhouse (WaW) 13. Overgrown (CoD 4) 12. Vacant (CoD 4) 11. Summit (BO1) 10. Grind (BO2) 9. Backlot (CoD 4) 8. Cliffside (WaW) 7. Hangar (WaW) 6. Standoff (BO2) 5. Slums (BO2) 4. Dome (MW3) 3. Terminal (MW2) 2. Raid (BO2) 1. Firing Range (BO1) I'm not really a fan of the small maps with garbage spawns like Nuketown, Rust, Dome (WaW), etc. with Courtyard being an exception.
I still do not understand why Slegdehammer brought back USS Texas out of all maps back in Vanguard, instead of London Docks Raid will always be my #1 map
