Exactly, I also love her qualities, that despite being rich and a little spoiled, even so she has a heart of gold and is a good friend with Tiana.. she is sassy and funny naturally, she is like that
Charlotte is one of the best Disney side characters in history. There is a definite racial undertone with the movie and yet her best friend is a black woman. She’s in her moment with her handsome prince….and immediately drops everything the moment she sees tiana hurt and upset. She wants her happy ending and is offered it freely….yet immediately gives it up so tiana can have hers. Great character
I always loved how these are some of the most iconic as well as the funniest female Disney characters! And Charlotte is one of my all time favorites, Because she may be a spoiled rich girl and she has a bit a temper but she's genuinely a good person and she really cares about Tiana and was willing to do whatever she could to help her, In fact on some level Charlotte is the ultimate example of a true friend because not everyone is willing to give up their own dream just to make another person's dream come true.
Exactly, that's what I admire about Charlotte, she is a great friend to Tiana, and even gives up her own dream for help her. Really she is the ultimate example of a true friend
Charlotte's character was very inspired. I liked how she was weird and funny. She was a spoiled rich girl and kind of a drama queen but she really cared about Tiana and was a great friend to her. Also, she falls under with the rarity of being the 'human' best friend to the leading Disney Princess. Most of them just have animal/non human best friends.
Yzma is simply amazing. Eartha Kit was fabulous. Btw I’m pretty convinced Yzma turning into a cat was a double deep cut: her stage surname, and her role as Catwoman.
In the words of Captain Hook, "I never thought of that!" Thank you for that insight. Gee, the interesting tidbits you pick up just reading these comments...
“Ugh! I’m like the Crypt Keeper!” That line is so iconic and hilarious! Jaime Lee Curtis and Lindsey Lohan were both SO funny and SO amazing in their roles in Freaky Friday!
I'm super shocked that Giselle from "Enchanted" is not on this list, not even as an honorable mention. Much like Anna, Giselle's bubbly and optimistic nature sometimes gets her into trouble, but it also makes us chuckle a lot, and I think that's what her personality was intended to do. Besides, Amy Adams played her so perfectly.
Especially when #2 and #3 were voiced by the male directors for their movies… Lily Tomlin *rejected* doing Edna Mode, famously telling Brad Bird "You've got this! What do you need me for?" Declining to voice a Pixar…
I love Charlotte so much. She is so made to be the expected “Mean Girl” of the movie. She’s blonde, she’s rich, she wears pink, she’s spoiled…but she’s not. She becomes best friends with an African American girl in the 1920s which was pretty much a “No” back then. She is remarkably generous with her money making sure that her best friend will have her dream come true even though she’s poor. She kisses a frog (more than once!) for her best fiend which that alone is insane. And on top of all of that she is hilarious and sassy! I love her!
Oh my gosh, some of the best lines, Grandma Fa: "she comes home from war and brings home a sword. If you ask me, she should've brought home a man... whoo, sign me up for the next war. " Dori: "Hey there mr grumpy gills" Edna: "NO CAPES!!!" 😂😂😂
I am so happy the Three Good Fairies on this list! Even though they are much older characters they are some of the funniest characters Disney has ever made. They have very realistic sisterly relationships. I love how Flora is clearly the oldest and while she always has good intentions she always thinks she’s right. Then Fauna is the sweet, caring sister who tries her very hardest to do the best she can even if she’s completely failing. Then Merryweather is the youngest sister who is brutally honest and has that classic younger sister spunk about her. So funny and awesome! They’re like the best part of the movie!
My favourite quote from sleeping beauty is when fauna reads “2 eggs fold in gently. Fold?” And she literally put the whole egg in a folds the dough over I quote that when I eat chocolate mousses with tiny eggs 😂
@user-lv5zz7wv6l This led me to believe that their initial plan for Aurora's 16th birthday was a task shuffle that went against their proficiencies. The fact Merryweather pointed out what "tsp" stood for led me to believe she did the cooking and Fauna did the weaving.
1:34 We live in uncertain times but I do hope we get the sequel. She’s so brilliant at comedy 👏🏽 The delivery of “I’M LIKE THE CRYPT KEEPER!” will never not be iconic.
The Three Fairies from Sleeping Beauty, Dory from Finding Nemo. The scene where Dory tries to speak whale is still the hardest I've ever laughed in a movie theater. 🤣
True! I was not expecting her to be on this list, but im very glad she is in here, because she´s HILARIOUS (actually there´re a bunch funny and charismatic of characters in Tarzan, the one and only Tarzan being one of them LMAO)
I would have liked it if Sisu was added to the list. Who doesn't love a lovable water dragon voiced by Awkwafina? She sure knows a thing or two about comedy.
Imagine if YZMA was a kitty cat through the entire film. It would be so cute and funny. Charlette is hilarious. She is spoiled, bratty, and she is really hyper. What's really funny is that she keeps telling her dad to tell Tiana stuff and keeps interrupting him and she tells her instead. She'd do anything to be a princess herself. Even date Prince Nevine's 6 year old brother.
Here are the honorable mentions: - Nala, "The Lion King" franchise (1994-2004). She pins us down and laughs in the face of danger. - Angel, "Lady and the Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure" (2001). Our first glance of her gets us every time. - Vixey, "The Fox and the Hound" (1981). Her personality is nothing to sneeze at. - Deb, "Finding Nemo" (2003). She's nuts! - Maid Marian, "Robin Hood" (1973). She and Lady Kluck make each other laugh. Ian Robert Scott Laidlaw
Great video on the top twenty funniest Disney female characters my all time favorites are Mamma Ode and Charlotte la Bouff from the princess and the frog ,Honey Best and Edna Mode from the incredibles, the three good fairies from sleeping beauty, the sanderson sisters from hocus-pocus, madam mim from the sword and the stone, Vanellope von schweetz in wreck it Ralph and Yzma from the emperor’s new groove 👍❤️
@@JamesDavy2009 It was, but they were acting as a Greek chorus. There was similar use of the three black girl singers in "Little Shop of Horrors" musical. Besides in Greek mythology there were twelve muses.
When Edna was number 2 I was very confused at who number 1 would be. But yes Yzma deserves number 1! She’s absolutely hilarious and iconic! This whole list was so much fun and full of funny, sassy and iconic Disney ladies!
Girl power to the max!!! What a great top this was Ms Mojo, have a happy saturday morning and God bless you. Take care and greetings from Colombia to you as well.
*MY FAVORITES:* Charlotte La Bouff - The Princess and the Frog Anna Coleman - Freaky Friday Dory - Finding Nemo franchise Megara - Hercules Roz - Monsters, Inc. Although Ariel will always be my #1 Disney girl, the Three Fairies from Sleeping Beauty are IMO the funniest female Disney characters. After thinking about it, I think the fairies would have to be my 2nd favorite female Disney characters thanks to their dynamic chemistry and personalities.
Mary Rodgers, the author of Freaky Friday, said the 2003 version was the only movie of her book that she liked, and she mainly credited that to Jamie Lee Curtis, who became a friend of hers.
Thank god she’s not! I’m sorry but I can’t stand Dory. She’s so annoying and obnoxious. I’m a fan of Ellen as a comedian but she sucked as Dory. I don’t blame her. I blame the material and crappy direction.
I Absolutely Love Megara from *Disney's Hercules* and Charlotte & Mama Odie from *The Princess and the Frog.* These three are all the Best Hilarious and Funniest Female Disney characters I've ever seen! Just can't get ENOUGH of them! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
The Wife From Ruthless People (1986) I Think she was played by Bette Middler also liked her In Down and Out In Beverly Hills (1986) another Touchstone Pictures classic
Charlotte from The Princess and The Frog was my favorite female Disney side character. Although she was rich and wants a happy ending with the real life prince, she deeply cares of Tiana and decide to give a happy ending to her. Heck, she and her father who is one of the richest men in town went to low class restaurant where Tiana worked instead of fancy rich restaurant, meaning they always cares for her since Tiana's mother was also worked as Charlotte's maid back then which the movie was set in the 1920s at that time racial prejudice was still on high.
