Top 20 J-POP Boy Band Ranking! 

One thing I enjoy about Jpop is that so many of the groups have been going on for aaages. Groups like SMAP and Arashi has been around since the 90s and the members are in their 30s and 40s, but I love how they're still out there making new songs :)

The reason why Japan boy bands aren't as famous as Korean is bcs most of them don't upload their mv/show on youtube bcs of the license. Example, Johnnys. I'm a fan of Kisumai and I have to struggle to get link to watch their MV.

Jpop brings out its uniqueness and definitely helps me escape from American music. I dont care if its not popular worldwide (especially in America) its a sign of jpop not falling off of its uniqueness.

As a hardcore fan of both kpop and jpop it really makes me mad how much people compare the two genres. They are both completely different and come from totally different country's where the BEAUTY standard's are different. Unlike Korea and kpop Japan doesn't focus as much on plastic surgery. I respect you if you prefer Kpop over Jpop just don't bring your negativity into these comments and we most definitely don't want you and your negativity in our fandom so I'm more happy if you stay out ^-^ Stop being so shallow minded thanks xx ps. jpop dont want to be like kpop... so there is no reason to say "i like kpop" or "jpop sucks". Japanese people is very talented in making songs. Try to check out vocaloid or some song made by utaite and youtaite, they are very unique. im not racist, im a kpop fans too, but kpop is way too boring.. i like bts btw 😍😍

Remind me of 2000s/2nd gen boygroups of Kpop, their outfits, hairstyles, music & MVs. It's cool tho.

I admire Japanese music so so much. From Jpop, to anime soundtracks...Even some of the music from japanese visual novels are phenomenal. I've seen liberal usage of instruments like the flute, infused with modern day beats (my favorite example would be Ai otsuka's planetarium from Hana Yori Dango's soundtrack), giving the music a touch of culture. I like Kpop too, but japanese music holds a bit of a special place in my heart :)

I have watch only k-pop. J-pop is new to me. I always love to learn Japanese, but not awesome at it, and I listen to Japanese anime song. So it is very interesting

well.. I don't really hate kpop.. I mean.. they're good! they have great style and dances.. but.. my only concern is their music.. don't get me wrong.. some of them are really good but lately.. all I've been hearing in kpop are raps and EDMs.. and I'm honestly getting tired of it and I don't even get the harmony of the song because the raps are honestly longer than the choruses.

been a jpop before kpop, johnnys are my fave artist but im hoping to see the older generations to have more ballad songs than singing and dance song is quite like in their age. kat-tun is my fave in jpop even its missing two members also news..tsubaki and tamaki..?😂 i dont know if im sure almost a decade for me since ive been into jpop.

I noticed in jpop they harmonise (is that the right spelling?) a lot which I don't really like but it's not as bad as I expected to be. I still prefer kpop over jpop :)
