Dayla is great.....so nice & personable & a wonderful partner in these picks! A number of amazing leather fragrances out there- TF Tuscan Leather is a favorite.
She's a fantastic guest always love these videos 😃👌 Ombrè leather is sooo amazing, such a photo realistic leather to my nose and it performs like a monster for me 👍
The dynamic between dalya & yourself is always top class , bickering and banter 😂 perfection! My favourite leather is rhino by zoologist , not easy to wear or crowd pleasing but i love it. Roman monegal cuirelle is my favourite more wearable one 👌 Fantastic to learn about others that i haven't tried yet , unique choices as always 🙏 I'll be picking up leather oud from dior in paris later this year 😍
It’s strange. With 1740 I get a dark chocolate vibe in the opening. It reminds me of Stonehaven pipe tobacco. Almost an exact match! And dark bitter chocolate is what the pipers say Stonehaven smells like. Then it has a light leather smell with spices in the heart. A topping of sweet dried fruit glazes the fragrance but is not over powering. Then in the base I get a pumpkin pie smell. Not the crust, but the filling. It’s so strange. I can smell clove. It’s actually really cozy and comforting. Then as a skin scent it’s sweet and rummy. What a fragrance! I wouldn’t consider it a leather but a gourmand! Thanks for telling me about 1740 Sebastian! I picked out Ombré Leather 18 for my leather fragrance in my collection.
A great review with great fragrances! And yes... it is in the Top 5 on the exclusive 4. place. Namely 1740 Marquis de Sade. Thanks to God I found this great Fragrance. I absolutly love it. It is my signature Fall, Winter frag. ❤️ I thought at first the Tuscan Leather is the real.... till I met it. I love both but 1740 is.... BEST! IMO what a real man have to wear. 😉👍🏼 I can’t wait the spring list, Sebastian.
Awesome inclusive review guys! Love it! I love all these!! Though, my favorite leather fragrance is Tom Ford Tuscan Leather! Thanks for this great review
Dear Sebastian, Great list Dalya is an excellent guest and her knowledge is second to none. My favourite leathers are Tuscan leather and rien intense. Cheers Amna
Nice video. Cuir ottoman, rhinoceros by zoologist, acqua di parma leather, cuir by mona di orio, black no1 by matriarch, skin on skin by l'artisan parfumeur, Suède de Suède by mona di orio are very good leather.
Wonderful video! I always appreciate you taking time to go into depth in description on each one, and ranking them. Please do a Roja Dove house video? I'm new to smelling Roja. I'm interested in getting my nose on Qater and Kingdoms Saudi Arabia and Kuwait...I hope you may please consider trying these? I love how your nose can depict notes and you can tell us if they smell animalic in a funky way or not 😉👍
I have wanted a bottle of Cuir de Russie for years (living off samples) but Dalya and Krysten (Meow reviews) gave Great Britain many accolades which makes me want to try it! Fabulous video and very entertaining! Thank you.
Fantastic list. I love the smell of leather. It is so wonderful to see you both, together. HoM Destrier is another great leather that I like very much, too. Thank you Sebastian & Dalya for another excellent review!
Oh my goodness! The Marquis de Sade, bondage, Tab, and a healthy serving of outstanding leather based fragrances--one of the best videos ever! Your enthusiasm was patent. I am immediately going to snag a decant of Rien Intense as soon as I get home. And a whole bunch of other great suggestions. Once again, many thanks to you and Dalya for the list. Happy smelling to all!
Hey The perfume guy are you familiar with ambercrombie and Finch Ezra that's was my favorite for years and I never can find something that smells similar do you have any ideas or good suggestions
Just watched it again!! Lots of great leather perfumes , which I don’t have! No a question is raised in my mind ! Sebastian how many perfumes do you have ? I’m guessing above 700 at least ! Can you plz share it with me, or post a picture of your collection 😍
Thank you so much for this ! I fell in love with 1740 and bought a full bottle but then discovered the dry austere green powdery heaven of Cuir andalou by Rania j, do you know which of these falls under that category? 🙏 💖
Some awesome frags on this list and always love Dalya as a guest. I love 1740 aswell and wear it a lot too. I’ll really have to get my nose on that ELDO one. I dare not smell the Roja, it’s massively expensive! I really like Oud Saphir from Atelier Cologne, similarities to Ombre Noire but a little more refined. Gucci Guilty too, great value and very masculine.
I adore Dalya and love when you collaborate. Btw, I am with her on TF's TL, I'll take Ombre' L 8 days a week! Great video! Ok, so I have slight crush; Seb, assure her I'm MOSTLY harmless. That restraining order was a total sham! lol ;)
Excellent choices!!!!!.... Jara when you finish your bottle of Tom Ford F****** FABULOUS, please send me the empty bottle to me. Planning to get ETAT LIBRE D'ORANGE RIEN INTENSE INCENSE, TEO CABANEL KASAR and TOM FORD OMBRE LEATHER. Thanks for sharing the video.
Love the video and number one. My favorite of all leather scent. Running low as I love wearing it. Perfect for Chicago ❄️. Very surprised with the ranking of TL, hmm. I would swap it’s place with Ombré Leather😀
Ombre leather beats Tuscan leather at the start and the end. It's not as dry or harsh as Tuscan leather. It lasts longer. The middle of Tuscan leather is better, but marginally so.
I have fallen for a sheer leathery, cashmere/cedar, slightly animalic perfume. It was a surprise to me. I am looking for a niche upgrade. I don't think the perfume I fell for is still in production. I thought maybe if you saw the notes I was attracted to you might be able to offer a niche recommendation or two? I really appreciate your guidance. Here is the description (Alaïa Nude by Alaia Paris is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women. Alaïa Nude was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Marie Salamagne. Top notes are Cashmeran and Cedar; middle note is Orange Blossom; base notes are Tonka Bean, Musk and Leather.)
Super underrated Leather king is 1 not 2 ...Cruz del Sur 1 please try it and give it one minute and experience the handsomeness. Sebastian I'm sure you'll appreciate.
Another great one! Love leather fragrances, I definitely need to try some one this list. Quick question : what do you think about Aramis Tobacco Reserve?
@@ThePerfumeGuy I blind bought it here m.feelunique.com/p/Aramis-Tobacco-Reserve-Eau-de-Parfum-110ml?q=aramis%20tobacco%20&q_typ=a&q_cat=product&q_dep=Fragrance
@@ThePerfumeGuy I live in Norway 🇳🇴 the stores here only have Aventus and Bleu de Chanel 😉 I know there are som online sample stores, but haven't tried any of them yet.
Oh wow. For some reason I thought you were in USA. Darn yes I can see they can be limited to selection. But at least you can order online which only makes it tough to sample them in advance. Thank you for the support! :)
I have several of the top 6 leather favorites along with YSL Noble Leather and Knize Ten. TF OL is the easiest one in my collection to wear, anytime of the year. Too bad leather is my least favorite frag note. Have to say I'm really glad I watched this video. Although I currently don't really care for leather frags, I'll not give up because I know I'll come around eventually.
Good list..really surprised none of the Memo leathers made the list...theyre a little synthetic smelling, but they have the widest range of leathers to choose from that ive seen.
Where u rate ombré nomade for 28 year guy I m confused between TF oud wood intense , adp colonia oud and ombré nomade ? Wat u suggest to 28 year guy , considering projection , sillage and sexyness 😄?
Always love your channel, Sebastian. Dalya brings an enchanting wit which really compliments your genius opinions. I don't have all of these, but of those I do, Mont de Narcisse is my fave.
Some great frags on the list. I am a huge leather fragrance fan & although I've not got my nose to all of what you've listed I am familiar with several & so I'm definitely liking your selection, especially your Number 1 being from "Great Britain" or the UK too but Roja Parfums is simply a great perfumer period & Great Britain is "sexy sophistication" in a bottle! I've not really big on layering but one day something prompted me to try layering TF's Ombre Leather 16 or 18 & Fucking Fabulous together & personally I find that it works quite well? Try it for yourself & see what you think?" Two sprays of OL & one of FF & you're good to go. YSL's Noble Leather is a great leather fragrance too; the dry down is to die for, however, it doesn't project off of my skin as much as I would've liked it too but I love it all the same! Great video as always Sebastian, keep up the good work & keep em coming.
Haven't smelled most of them as I don't particularly like leather or like smelling like leather. I have smelled Tuscan leather and Godolphin. They are alright, but nothing to write home about. Ombre Leather is more wearable in my opinion, but I still wouldn't want to smell like leather.
I find that Tom ford kid wood intense has also quietly and Malik Larry note and this last forever it's an awesome fragrance with major CR and staying power
I can’t pick just one, but Russkaya Koyza by Berdoues is FANTASTIC. Like the smell of a brand new leather boot, or the interior of a million dollar car. Another great video, as always.
I’ve been hoping for a leather review and here it is with my favourite presenter partnership. Surprised not to see Bottega Veneta or Mona Di Orio Cuir. Too much Tom Ford in the list in imo - sorry but they are so pricey. I’m very interested in the Cuir fetiche. The best leather ever is of course vintage Cabochard Parfum but bottles are becoming rarer. .
Great choice as no. 1, Great Britain. However, have you not tried Cuir de Ange by Hermessence created by Jean Claude Elena? It’s a luxurious light leather. My wife thinks it smells like the inside of a Hermes handbag. Another one is C by Clive Christian. Powerful leather with spices with lasting power, created by Christian Provenzano. Masterful.
I have not tried Cuir De Ange. I will try and see if I can sample it soon. Thanks for reminding me of it. As I do love Christian Provenzano's creations, he has launched a whole line of fragrances. His line is mentioned in this video if you care to learn briefly about it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5guQoMRiGIQ.html
for years I only wore LEATHER fragrance oil I smelled like a motorcycle jacket now I appreciate it when its well blended like TF: TUSCAN & OMBRE LEATHERS probably my top two alas I had to give away my DIOR: LEATHER OUD because it was way to animalic I just couldnt wear it all that said I really enjoyed the rest of your list so many new frags to discover thanks JIM from MIAMI BEACH
Yes I love it but I have TL and Godolphin that come close so I don't have the leather in that series. I just got their vanilla and here's the video about it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kXbrOjWJVus.html
Great video! Well done, Sebastian and Dalya! I was wondering, did you ever smell Amouage's "Imitation Man"? To me it is one of the best and most seductive leather scents out there. Do you know it (the woman's version isn't worth trying, but the men's version of Imitation is just... mmmmmmmmmmhhhh - very sexy).
Here are my thoughts: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z401R_ja_jQ.html We actually featured it in a Top 20 Woody Fragrances Video as well.
Yay! Hi Dalya. 😊 "I actually had a rose fragrance by Teo Cabanel." "Is that Oha?" "Yes." "Yeah, I have it." "Of course you do." 🌹🤣 This is going to be another entertaining video. Just settled in with my yogurt to get the specifics. Then the "two records." And Sebastian has record coasters. I laughed out loud all alone at 2am in my apartment. 🤣 You guys are too much. Tab...hahaha! I drank so much Tab back then too. Mod pink can, white letters. 😁🥤Maybe this will introduce me to a leather fragrance as I am not a big leather connoisseur. 💜💜💜
