Mary Poppins Returns was 54 years older than the original

Bill and Ted 3 had quite a long wait, but it came out at the right time to help us feel happy in 2020, and it perfectly captured the spirit of the original

In my opinion, a sequel should come out two to five years after the original. That’s enough time to stir up buzz for the next installment, but not so much time that people become disinterested.

1. The problem is not just that these sequels came out too late, but that most of the originals didn’t actually require a sequel. So the sequels were just cash grabs by studios with no original ideas and established, familiar hits. 2. Some of the originals, especially those that DID lend themselves to a sequel, were unexpected hits, but by the time the money, accolades and awards started rolling in, the people involved in making them had moved on to other projects, with no plans to return tor any sequels, and that’s why many sequels didn’t get made until many years later. The sequels that do come out right after the originals are from studios anxious to make more money from the sudden hits regardless of the availability of anyone from the originals, while the originals are still fresh in everyone’s minds.

One sequel that was definitely worth the wait was the sequel to the Shining (1980) ... Doctor sleep (2019) is a must see gem. It's just a very good movie, and if you like the books, they even tried to tie up all the liberties that Kubrick took in the first movie. 39 years apart, no one is gonna beat that record.

My hype for Avatar sequels are getting low since the movies has been delayed for years

Blade Runner 2049, Live Free or Die Hard, The Exorcist III and especially Mad Max Fury Road. The only super late sequels that actually worked.

Where’s the incredibles 2? They made it late

On one side, you see people hyped for Avatar 2 to take back the record from Endgame, and on one side, you see people tired of movie theaters, especially how they bring in babies crying, which is really annoying, as well as people recording the screen on their phones.

Tron Legacy gets a bad wrap imo. The movie is good and the visuals are still stunning to this day.

I agree mostly with this list. The only one i would push back on is Tron:Legacy. As someone who saw the first Tron at a drive-in as a kid, i like the second installment. I think had it been made in the 90's, the special effects would have been ridiculously bad. I have never understood why people bag on legacy.

Clerks 2 and Anchorman 2 were both released 10 years after the originals, but were both pretty good, as was the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.

Top Gun Maverick came out 36 years after Top Gun and not only was it worth the wait, it was even better than the original!

Tron Legacy was good and I wouldn't say affected by the long gap in years cause if you think about it what would the in-between movies be like, Cyber War inside a computer with Tron raising up to stop a war or become corrupted which would put it as a Star Wars style movies

The movie sequels that I thought of was Undercover Brother 2, Space Jam 2, Star Wars Ep. 7, Terminator 3, Bad Boys For Life, Men In Black 3, Rocky Balboa, Rambo(2008), Hard Target 2, Indiana Jones 4, The Sandlot 2, Titanic 2, and Jurassic World.

I love Dirty Dancing Havana Nights. Not as good as the original but also technically a prequel, as it is set in the late 1950's, when Dirty Dancing is set in the 1960's. 😊😊

"The Thing" is a timeless masterpiece, and in my opinion, along with a multitude of others I'm sure, it displays the pinnacle of practical fx and what can be achieved with some patience and a true passion for the art in place of a commercial production created solely for profit.

I got two movies that haven't been made yet but will be on this list when they or if they ever get made. One would be a sequel to The Other Guys. They missed the window on that one. The other would be a third installment to the Ace Ventura franchise. Although, it would be too late I would still like to see those made

Surf’s Up 2: Wavemania should be on this list because I heard that many Surf’s Up fans were disappointed, to see the documentary style, the other penguins including Big Z were from this direct-to-DVD sequel. Instead, it was a rehash of the first film, flat characterizations, downgraded animation and Shia LaBeouf and Zooey Deschanel not reprising their roles as Cody and Lani. It’s also disappointing that the original directors of the first film were not apart of this sequel. It would be amazing if they directed this sequel, it would’ve better to see if they made it more like a continuation.

I saw Dumb and Dumber in the theaters in the 90's as a kid and the squeal as an adult. Look...You can't capture lightening in a bottle twice.

I feel like this list should’ve consisted of sequels that were made decades after their originals, such as Lady and the Tramp 2 (2001) for example which was made 46 years after its original from 1955. There’s also Mary Poppins Returns (2018) which was made 54 years after the original Mary Poppins movie (1964).

Dont forget about Tremors 2 Tremors 3 Tremors 4 Tremors 5 And that series crap they made...

Top 10 Power Rangers Beast Morphers Characters 10: Blaze (The original Red Beast Morphers Power Ranger, Blaze is cocky, arrogant, and isn't above using the rules to his advantage, especially if it means throwing an intruder into a cell even if they have an important message, putting rivals in a bad position to retaliate. He originally had contempt for Devon Daniels, but respected him in the end, showing he truly is good at heart. Following his awakening, he has become a nicer person, and has since become a reliable ally. ) 9: Roxy (The original Yellow Beast Morphers Power Ranger, unlike Blaze, Roxy is kinder and more caring, lacking her would-be-teammate's arrogance. While upset about breaking up with Ravi, she does understand his preference to protocol but she is shown sad about Ravi's choice. Upon her reawakening, Roxy is happy to see Ravi again and helps the team rescue Devon. ) 8: Ben and Betty Burke (Probably the clumsiest workers at Grid Battleforce, Ben and Betty could possibly be related to equally clumsy fools, like Bulk and Skull. However unlike Bulk and Skull, Ben and Betty are nicer and try to help the Rangers in anyway they can. While Ben is humble and nice, Betty is more impulsive and outgoing, often dragging her brother into situations he'd rather avoid. Either way, these two are as funny as they come.) 7: Commander Shaw (Ravi's mother and the commander of Grid Battleforce, Commander Shaw is arguably one of the best Ranger mentors of all Ranger history. All though some people call her a little harsh because of her hatred of art and the idea of Ravi doing anything that doesn't involve work, Commander Shaw makes the wise decision to appoint Devon Daniels as the new Commander of Grid Battleforce and she learn to have a little fun in her life. Despite all of this, Commander Shaw doesn't always have the right answers.) 6: Mayor Adam Daniels (As the Mayor, Adam seems to be a fairly responsible and strict father to Devon, but he truly cares for his son and wants him to be prepared for the professional world. Despite thinking that Devon is so irresponsible, we were all wishing for the moment when Mayor Daniels finally found out his son is the Red Ranger. Sadly for Mayor Daniels, when he tried to save Devon from the Cyber Dimension, he ended up being possessed by the wicked Evox, leaving Devon heartbroken. However, after he's free from Evox's body, Mayor Adam Daniels still remains a good and loyal human being.) 5: Steel (Created by Nate, Steel was originally suppose to become the robot body for the evil and destructive Evox. However, when Nate morphed into the Gold Ranger, Steel morphed into the Silver Ranger. And one more surprise, it turns out that Steel is technically human. While morphing into the Silver Ranger, some of the scarab beetle DNA mixed in with Hate's DNA, making Nate and Steel brothers. Despite being self-absorbed, active, self-obsessed, and very confident, Steel is the first Power Ranger to scarab beetle themed, making Steel an all around amazing Ranger.) 4: Nate Silva (Nate is a prodigy who joined Grid Battleforce at the age of six. When he was 10, he discovered a way to harness the Morphin Grid, allowing him to refine it into a substance called Morph X. Although being a little nerdy and most people thinking he can't take care of himself, Nate was able to become the Gold Ranger and he was smart enough to create a Silver Ranger. Nate is a quick thinker in situations that require it. Being a single child, Nate always wanted an elder brother and considers Steel as a brother-figure. Nate also has feelings for Zoey, sending her Valentine's flowers secretly. Despite loving all living creatures, he suffers from arachnophobia, a fear of spiders. He has a liking for science fiction and doesn't know how to play most sports.) 3: Ravi Shaw (Ravi is the team's Blue Ranger and the muscles of the group, having Gorilla strength in his DNA. Ravi values the rules at Grid Battleforce and doesn't like the ideas of breaking any laws or the idea of disappointing his mother. Sadly for Ravi, he was forced to break up with his girlfriend Roxy because the Grid Battleforce rules state that Rangers can't date Rangers. However, since Roxy was knocked into a coma and turned into an evil Avatar, she never became a Ranger and Ravi and Roxy were able to be together. Being the first Indian Ranger, has been shown to have an extreme fear of the dentist. Ravi is truly an amazing Blue Ranger.) 2: Zoey Reeves (Originally a laundry girl at Grid Battleforce, Zoey trained to become a Battleforce cadet, but got cut for unknown reasons. However, claiming that she's not afraid of big problems, but she solves big problems, boosts her confidence to become the Yellow Beast Morphers Power Ranger. She developed a crush on Nate Silva when she first met the smart little scientist, Zoey and Nate were able to change the rules of Grid Battleforce and the two were able to have a relationship together. With the ability to jump really high due to being linked with Jackrabbit DNA and being the only female Ranger on the team, Zoey has become a favorite amongst fans and a close second to our number one pick. ) Honorable Mentions: Evox, Blaze and Roxy Avatars, Scrozzle, Beast Bots, General Burke, Muriel Reeves , Megan 1: Devon Daniels (The son of Mayor Adam Daniels, Devon is a brown belt in karate, loves to play video games, and not much into serious work, but he really wants to make his father proud. Having superhuman speed because he is linked with cheetah DNA, Devon is the fastest amongst his fellow Rangers. Just wanting to see the battle simulator in Grid Battleforce, Devon technically becomes the Red Ranger on accident. However, before becoming Ranger, Devon is shown to be brave and strong, helping to fight against the Blaze and Roxy Avatar without even being a Ranger. Even if his memory is erased or if he has been taken over by a fury cell, Devon will fight against his fellow Rangers to the very end. Devon is arguably one of the best Red Rangers of all time.)

Lady and the Tramp came out in 1955. Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure came out in 2001.

You guy's forgot The Transporter Refueled (2015) the biggest insult to Jason Statham they offered him 1 million dollars and also that he wouldn't even be offered a script before committing. Jason Statham recognized a bad deal when he saw it, thus made the call to cut ties.
