Never in my wildest dreams did I think that the game I initially hated back in 2012 that NOONE else played would define a dominating genre of gaming. I love these damn games lol.
yeah you telling me dude i over the 360 and early 2000s was a FPS guy I would only play FPS games but now since playing elden ring every game I play is just another souls game, its got so bad that I cant even play halo for 5 minutes before jumping to a new soulslike, my backlog is so big that playing a simple hack and slash or FPS now just don't cut it for me whod have thought that I would be a souls main
Finally, Black Myth: Wukong has emerged as the game that diverges from the souls-like trend, rejuvenating the classic hack & slash genre that had all but disappeared for years. It was an instant pre-order for me, and I have no regrets. This game truly deserves all the accolades and the title of Game of the Year, setting an example for developers on creating a game that isn't just another repetitive, uninspired souls-like. A heartfelt thank you to China for this remarkable addition and for rescuing the gaming industry from a monotonous souls-like rut.
What is hack and slash in black myth? You just get a$$ whooping even from two enemy from different directions In a hack and slash you slain countless of enemies in a blink of the eye😂
Tried to get into Dark Souls 1 a few months ago (very late to the party, I know). Just couldn't. The saving system is not for me. I understand being a tough (and rewarding) game, but I don't have enough time anymore to just feel like I wasted two hours doing nothing, not even progressing in a game. But I do understand why people love it and these games sure look amazing.
They take a bit of getting used to, and DS1 is overrated, and well past it's prime. Although subjectively not the best, starting with DS3 would probably bring you more joy.
they need to get pumping only so many games you can play, and I can officially say my backlog is 3 games long for soulsgames, enotria, black myth wukong and nioh 2, I cant believe I've completed the whole steam list some of them where great some of them aka steel rising was a joke still to this day cant get that game to run consistent 60fps at 4k on a rtx 4070, hopefully they release some new gems soon because I really need a challenge I hate ever being introduced to this genre of games because It used to be simple you play a hack and slash doge a little here a little their mash 1 button and you done, now those games bore me to the point that I've had god of war installed ready to go yet to this day I still haven't got past the wood cutting part and just go to the next soulslike, I used to be a FPS and hack and slash action RPG dude, play halo and cod and some sprinkle of action but now I need my fix of soulslike
Theses games never come out the years we expect them to. I got only one out of this entire list that I think is really coming 2025 and that's The First Berserker. Everything else absolutely not because they're Chinese games and we know they will show their game 13yrs before release because they just don't give a damn.
im not concerned with dark souls games is there a reason people wont create the d&d universe ? they had cities coastline different realms gods giants to titan size dragons galore spells and they just make souls like games hhmm
Yea it's owned by wizards of the coast and Hasbro so it's a pain to get rights to use for gaming as they have there own gaming branch but have failed ment times to make a good game unfortunately
