You know what I'd change about Hyperia? I'd make it so it would be open for more than a week.

i'm so happy that someone finally recognises Samurai as one of the best rides at Thorpe Park. Of course it can't beat some roller coasters like Stealth or The Swarm, but it is definitely the most fun non-rollercoaster ride

icl colossus is worse than detonator bcs it's so rough

When I went t on the walking dead ride when we were about to go onto the ride everything turned off and we were there in the dark for 30 minutes the people next to us were like 10 Indian people being so loud and right before it started working again they left and infront of us was a screaming kid what an experience

i am so mad that flying fish is not at number one i am either not seeing or hearing properly or DAN BETRAYED US

Agree with all of this but would put Samurai before any major roller coasters, put detonator a bit lower, bump up zodiac, switch colossus and nemesis inferno

Only coasters I've ridden: 6. The Walking (Through an obnoxiously long and dark corridor) Dead: That corridor goes on forever and I hate it. They keep saying there's live actors and there never is. The themeing feels tacky at best which means those corridors are the scariest part of it because I hate dark noisy corridors. It's basically a kids coaster with adult themeing. Make it a rave coaster again or do literally anything else with it. The ride itself is fine. Although I forgot it existed almost the entire time I was at Thorpe Park last time I went due to how uninterested I was in going on it. 5. The flying fish: Ooof that air time. Absolutely crazy I tell you. Amazing themeing. Ignore what I'll say about The Swarm. IT'S FISH! AND THEY FLY! What's not the love? Could use less small children which is clearly the only reason it's this low. 4. Nemesis Inferno: It's like Nemesis Reborn, but in a volcano. I think the comparison is warranted but I also think they're of similar quality outside of themeing. 3. The Swarm: Easily the best themed rollercoaster in the UK. I still consider it the most intense ride in the park just for the fact that it's the only ride I've ever greyed out from. People really undersell how consistently fast it can feel. I'm really happy the radio stuff is gone from Amity, but wish it stayed for The Swarm. 2. Stealth: It's a 123 punch and a good one at that. I've not experienced forces like it on anything. The only thing letting it down is the short layout and lack of inversions. 1. Colossus: Yup I'm one of those inversion enthusiasts that people think are crazy I'm pretty sure. Sure my ears get knocked a little, but I'm surprisingly head bang resistant despite seeming small and frail. Tight squeeze getting in even for me. But ten inversions... oof amazing. Those heartlines are great too and it's amazing to watch off ride. I can't wait to try Sik some day which is a top UK coaster candidate for me if a smoother ride with lap bars makes a big enough difference.

Colossus gave me the mother of all headaches last time I went on it! Luckily we went on near the end of the day as I couldnt go on anymore rides after that! 😅

Visited Thorpe park for the first time last year, I must have missed the best of 'Sore' the ride because it is a fast path to concussion, even worse than Rip Ride Rocket in Universal Florida, and that's saying something! If they could get it smooth again then great, but I would personally rather ride Flying Fish than Saw. Theming is great though. 1. Swarm, 2. Samurai, 3. Stealth. Yet to try Hyperia.

Did you see the latest on Hyperia? A Twitter post from Thorpe Park said that Hyperia is PERMANENTLY closed. And the ride will be taken down. No joke

I'm currently on holiday in the UK from Australia and visited TP last Friday and Monday. I wasn't able to get on all of the rides listed, mostly because I prioritised the coasters, and I'm not super into flat rides. I did get on all 8 coasters, and this is how I rank them: 1. Hyperia 2. Swarm 3. Nemesis Inferno 4. Saw 5. Stealth 6. Colossus 7. Walking Dead 8. Flying Fish To be fair, Swarm, Inferno, and Saw were all pretty close and could easily change spots with each other had I gotten more rides on them. Stealth, while it has a great launch and I rode it in the back row so the airtime pop on the top hat was incredible, it's just too short of a ride to put it any higher. Also, Walking Dead had no scare actors in it for me as apparently all the actors were reallocated for the Hyperia show, according to the staff member at the baggage storage. As for the other rides, I got on Ghost Train, Rumba Rapids, and Rush. Rush was good as I managed to give myself a fair but of wiggle room on the restraints so I had some good airtime pops, Ghost Train was an interesting dark ride but I found it to be a bit light on the scares, and Rumba Rapids was dreadful, easily the worst Rapids ride I've ever been on. As for Hyperia, it's easily the best ride in the park, but its length and the splashdown/trim brakes for me ruin what could've been a true world-class coaster. Aside from the first drop, which is excellent, I didn't find the airtime moments to be super aggressive and found the ride's hang time moments to stand out more. Because this is a Mack Hyper, I couldn't help but compare it to DC Rivals in Australia, which I have ridden many times and is in my opinion a vastly superior coaster to Hyperia. It's a shame because as much as I like Hyperia, it does fall short in a lot of aspects for me. Hopefully, TP and Mack can sort out the roll back issue as well soon.

Nothing wrong with liking storm surge, I don’t like sitting in a boat for 20-30minutes after the rides done tho, that bits crap 😂
