Grew up watching this, Regular Show, and Adventure Time and now that I'm older I realize how TAWOG was constantly trying to warn kids of the reality of the average adult life and that being a kid doesn't last forever. Adventure Time and TAWOG both really handle addressing serious topics within kids shows.
Grew up watching the exact same shows not were they only great shows when we were young but now we’re older some of these shows actually have pretty symbolic meanings, your right :)
everyone’s talking about how good “The Hero” is but i think “If it’s too hard to forgive” deserves more attention, i’ve never listened to it without tearing up a little bit
Oh my god I’ve never heard of this song before and now I’m in literal tears too 😭😭😭😭 especially knowing the story behind Nicole and her parents .. ugh 💔
I have recently been watching TAWOG after a break and when I listed to the song ‘Nobody is a Nobody’ I actually cried because I feel really insecure about myself and especially my personality and when I listed to it it feels like I can be myself and nobody can judge my for who I am :)
I love the message behind "nobody is a nobody". Everybody's different in their own way, and its important to put differences aside and accept people for who they are, not how they look.
I don’t think of accepting everyone for who they. If they do something wrong or bad I wish they didn’t do that and then love them for the good in them. Idk if that makes sense
Try watch at full episode..that episode taught us to become ourself..the world is rough place, still be happy..find something to makes us happy.sometimes some kind of 'ignorance' bring us happiness.

I feel everyone always hypes up the songs of Steven Universe and Adventure Time, and those shows are great, but the music of Gumball is so underappreciated. The music team on this show were some geniuses
ikkk i remember watching this as a kid and remembering an episode with alan in black and white but I only ever saw that ep once and I thought maybe i dreamed the whole thing.. turns out it's no.1!!!
"I am free. It's the key, doesn't matter what people think of me." This line is something that I wish I heard when I was a lot younger. I don't have to constantly curate who I am so that other people won't judge me or so that people will like me. This is why TAWOG will forever be one of my favorite shows of all time

The Faith song and If its hard to forgive are the greatest indeed, they will always be my favorite song of all time. When I first heard them when I was old enough to understand what they meant, I actually cried. The world may be filled with arrogance, hate, condescension, discrimination, corruption... you name it. But it has so much good in it too... These very songs impacted my entire life. Because of them, I always speak out against discrimination, try to be nice, always try to apologize, and try to forgive as many people I can. Thank you, Ben Bocquelet.
I love this. And I feel exactly the same. “If it’s too hard to forgive” had me crying tears and I was always easy to tear as a kid and even now once u get mad I end up crying. I love that part of me so much tho. This song just reminds me how much I love my self❤🫶🏿
YES, I love how hopeful The Faith song is. It keeps saying that we can fight for a better future and just this knowledge can make my mood better. It conveyed what it wanted to say perfectly
Well, really, we are sentient and I do not think that planets and large, condensed balls of gas have feelings, in a sense, your worries not insignificant as we appear to be the only species to in this universe, worries are just feelings that you can beat and improve to help not only yourself, but quite a lot of others
Why is no one talking about “without you” that’s my favorite song and I think it’s one of the best song in these series and because Darwin voice is so funny to me but it was sad
The Hero is beautiful The instrumental is amazing The instrumental is quiet and silent even when Richard is singing, they also through in some orchestra when he picks up the picture which is referenced later in the episode's climax It just gets me every single time

gumball honestly had the most mature meaning behind it all, it's telling you that your never gonna be a kid forever everybody grows up. This show was my childhood and it honestly helped me form myself now as the man I am today.
For me, Gumball it's the best show in the world. Even if it's only a kids show, it has deep meanings. Like "I am free", made me understand a lot that everyone can be what it wants and what it is, and you don't need to listen to judges from others. "The hero" made me understand how much parents love their kids and more. "If it's too hard to forgive". Some parents made their children have some trauma or kind of made them their life more harder. But parents will always love us. Even if they did something wrong or something, they always loved us and cared for us. The job can make them tired, and maybe tiredness kind of changes some moods. "Faith in the world". God gave us life. Even if the world looks miserable, scary, and dangerous. But if you look on the bright side, you can still fix the world. This show made me cry. But somehow. I'm still depress. Edit: I'm no more depress lol
I Am Free is an amazing song. It tells kids that nobody is alike and to be yourself, even if people don't like the real you, it dosen't mean you should change.
"I am Free / Sussies World" made me fucking cry. I can't describe how understood I felt when I saw the episode it originated in, The Weirdo, for the first time. It's just beautiful. I'm sorry for getting emotional in the comment section of a TAWOG - Songs video.
I know we all love Steven Universe and Adventure Time songs but Gumball has some pretty good ones too and I don't see enough people giving it the credit it deserves. You don't really get to often see kid shows depict the depressing aspects of life on Earth so cheerfully (the Faith Song). Also, Nobody is a Nobody is so beautiful that it could've easily made a very nice and emotional ending to the show
21:00 this is what I love about the song is that it doesn’t matter if your different, or if you are not the same, you can still accomplish and do something in life to make it amazing
"Faith in the World/Life Ain't Perfect" is the best song, hands down. props for teaching about overcoming depression to kids. I don't fail to cry every time
@@haphuongnguyen3358 that episode isn't about being moody or throwing a hissy fit. It's about a kid giving up because everything sucks, and asking himself why should he try. They are saying yea, things suck, and the world sucks, but there are good things, and you will have good memories that you can cherish and to keep trying. It's a good song.
The Hero has to be my favourite. There's so many great songs just from a musical standpoint and they cover so many complicated issues a lot of the time, clever lyrics and all. But The Hero managed to do more than just hit me in the feels. More like getting rushed down and getting my legs kicked out from under me. Nobody is a Nobody a close second because it starts so honest and develops so much as it goes along - and it's one of the only times we hear Anais and Nicole sing. And the harmony of the planets is just amazing.
This show will always hold a special place in my heart. It just brings me back as a kid. Life is crazy now since it’s my last year in HS and need to start worrying about life after high school. I also love to rewatch this once every couple months on Hulu just relive.
quick reminder that the Watterson family wrote an entire musical number, complete with a dance routine, instrumentals, costumes and attributes ...all just to roast the hell out of Richard's biological dad. edit: how the heck did this get 1,1k likes

The hero really shows how as a baby, or kid, you see your dad as a hero. You see your dad as the best person ever. But as you grow up, you start to get annoyed more at him or realise that there are people more important than your dad and that hes nothing special. So he is not the "Hero" anymore. Im in actual tears bc I just heard the hero.
The song that always talked to me and made me feel so happy is “make the most of it” honestly such a beautiful looking and good song. And it’s so cool to look at the insane imaginations kids and hopefully adults have. Like fight with a sword made of swords is just amazing 😂. All I’m saying here is just be as imaginative and creative as possible might help you in school, work, prison who knows but there’s only way to find out
I remember crying as a kid everytime when I heard The Hero. No exception, literarly every time. And now, years and years later... boom. Within three seconds the first tear rolled over my face. What the hell is this kinda magic song. I don't cry that easily. I guess it just really makes me appreciate my parents.
As someone who is addicted to astronomy, I love the "your life doesn't count" song! It's ironically a bop even though the planets are telling you how grim everyone's lives are.
This show is really amazing, its funny, entertaining for both children and aduts, it's joyful, it says a lot about how bad/cruel society is and so much more, the comebacks/roasts are absolutely hilarious and good

i feel bad for Nicole because we get to see what history happened between her and her parents so number 2 really hit me hard. also number 1 is what hit me the most because i am getting bullied right now and i just always wanna hide.
I'm 12 but I still watch TAWOG in my free time. My most favorite songs are "I am free" and "The Hero". (Also "The Factory") The reason is that I love "I am free" is because when I was a bit younger, I would get bullied for liking specific things. So I tried to fit in. Now that I'm older I understand we just be ourselves no matter what, and you don't need to listen to other people who judges you. For "The Hero", it made me understand how much a parent loves their child, and cares deeply about them.
