Techs and walljumps can allow for some extremely tricky, stylish and creative gameplay, whether you use them for recovering, edgeguarding, style, disrespect, or something else, the creativity it allows players to have, especially during exciting offstage battles or combos, can lead to some of the hypest and most entertaining moments in Smash!

Explanation of wall jumps for players that are interested in what they are:
In Smash, certain agile characters can perform a wall jump to jump off of walls, this is a fantastic option for tricky recoveries, edgeguards, or even just disrespect and style.
However, don't worry if you play one of the characters that can't usually wall jump! If your character is hit into a wall and you tech it, you are able to perform a wall jump directly afterwards with every character, this adds another layer of complexity to recoveries and can make for some really creative and exciting recoveries/reverse edgeguards.
