Woulda, shoulda, coulda. Amy Winehouse's entire body of music barely encompasses 2.5 hours. Hardly enough for a concert, not that she could get through one. She's not even a footnote in music. She traded her career for the needle and the bottle. Ironic her biggest hit was Rehab considering it was her addiction that killed her. Unsurprising though.

Talents, all of them... but with the possible exception of Stevie Wonder, not necessarily distinctive. Whitney and The Chairman in particular were standout talents -- but their actual voices weren't exceptionally distinctive. They just made the best of their fairly normal voices. As for John... both of his kids (Julian, Sean) sound an awful lot like him.

A good example is the song "Secret Love". Secondly, Mario Lanza. Although he did mostly opera, which I'm not a fan of, his rendition of "Be my love" is just inspiring, as well as several songs from the movie "Student Prince" in which he did a voice-over for one of the stars of the film.
