I agree! Personally, I find fashion "science" or fashion sense to be a bit overwhelming and intimidating. But Anna's videos explain the fundamentals in a fun and accessible way, and I love het humor and honesty. I look forward to watching all of her videos whenever they come out.

@@ANNAREID29Hi.. not trying to be rude but I don’t think that dress is crocheted. I believe it is a machine knit dress advertised as crochet. Only reason I bring it up is because crochet can not be replicated by machine and can only be made by hand. So if a company is selling a truly crocheted dress at a price under $200 (aka fast fashion) it was probably made in a sweat shop unfortunately!!! Not judging you or anyone by saying this… just thought you should know the information about these types of clothing items. ❤

I always like linen pieces because linen drapes better than cotton (if used the same weight yarn). A few years ago I bought 10+ made in Italy linen dresses. I am still wearing them and loving them.
I like linen blended with rayon/viscose/lyocell. It’s cooler than cotton/linen blends, but not as cool as 100% linen. Unlike polyester, which is plastic, the rayon family of fabrics is breathable and made from plant fibers. Polyester and other plastics are out of the question for my wardrobe, especially when it’s hot! I do also buy items in 100%, nice, thick, rayon-family fabrics, in addition to its breathability, it has some silk-like properties, like softness and good drape. It was called artificial silk originally and is still called Art Silk sometimes, but it’s not silk. But, quality is really important in thes; cheap, thin rayons from fast-fashion brands don’t wash or iron well, are limp and can pucker like crazy. Zara makes pretty nice rayon items, much better quality than some other fast-fashion brands. I wish brands would go back to making clothes linings out of breathable rayon instead of polyester, I have to rule out anything with a poly lining, and it only costs a penny or two more per garment to use rayon.
Great tips. I had avoided all rayon until I found good quality linen rayon blends. I'll buy one piece online as a test wear and a test wash, then stick to an online brand. Worth the extra work of testing.

I really like the idea of 2 piece sets since you can simulate the look of a jumpsuit/romper without the inconvenience of having to undress completely every time you use the restroom BUT I often need a smaller size bottom especially in an easy fit pant than top so buying a set in one size means I am usually having to compromise on the fit of the bottoms. For me, it's better if the set is sold as separates so I can get diff size in the top vs bottom.
Butter yellow looks so good with warm greys for fall. Even good with charcoal grey. Also butter yellow with winter white, so creamy. Creamy yellow with muted lavender also good. BTW, loving muted lavender with a medium avocado when the value makes them feel neutral yet they have a colorful contrast.

You're rocking it with the hairstyle and you got a good tan going on as well. Excellent trend review. I think my favorite three were the first white maxi with black top, the black crochet with white trim and wrap, and the tan cover up.
'Seems like all the maxi skirts are fuller this year. 'Still looking for the perfect A-line STRETCH denim maxi; counting on that being a classic. Summer staples have been two (cream, navy) maxi pencil skirts in stretch lace lined to above the knee. When I am sticky or sandy, it's easier to pull up a skirt than pull a dress over my head without doing an awkward crowd performance. Ha-ha. Picked up a couple of printed gauze full skirts. Wearing those with solid tanks tucked in or out with a belt; or with a thin, textured sleeveless knit vest. Topping those with stretch denim jeans jackets. Not a minimalist, I added bright red and a avocado jean jackets to my collection of white, blue and embroidered jean jackets. I am thinking of cutting the arms off of one and wearing it like a waistcoat style vest. Also thinking of doing a similar conversion with an old blazer that I don't wear any more. I like the look of a trim fitting waistcoat vest with this year's fuller maxi skirts . I just feel a little hesitant to cut up clothes even when I almost never wear them. Here goes. I am really interested in the crochet textures but I hate wearing loopy things that get caught on things that are protruding as I walk by. So, no crochet in a skirt, dress or long sleeves for me. I do like the idea of a crochet vest or tank, especially in a short crop length with a cute little scallop that hangs below the waist. I can cricket and I will shop around for yarns that will work. I am thinking of solid colors in creamy neutral, tomato red and one other color. Probably will crochet companion draw-string bags that I can wear over my wrist or throw into a large tote. Also interested in crocheting a neutral tote out of rafia or cottoñ because i have not found one in the stores that I like. Most are too big or the handles are too long for the forearm or too short for crossbody. I just can't keep a shoulder strap from falling when I am moving around. This time last year, I started leaning into wearing capris every day (possibly preferring the soft waistbands during hysterectomy recovery,). Feeling autumn anticipation, this year I am gravitating to denim midi skirts ( white, cream, mid- and dark-wash denims and teal) . I am excited about wearing the teal denim midi with a seafoam sleeveless shaker-knit vest. So, I need to hit the craft stores for rafia, cotton and other vest yarns, notions for vest conversions, and leather laces to convert vintage dangle earrings to necklace pendants. That's going to be my fun errand this week. I can hardly wait for the evenings to get cool enough to sit outside and crochet . Thanks for your time if you're reading all this. I had no idea it was going to turn into a shopping list/fall wardrobe plan when I started. 🙄😆👍
