Mr. Oriole!! Brooks spent his entire 23yr career with the birds and excelled at every aspect of baseball and life. Not only was he the Greatest Oriole of all time, but he was also a great human being. Nobody is more deserving of the Greatest Baltimore Oriole!! Brooks is the best!! Enjoy!!

"Some people might say Cal." Yes, they may. However, I have to agree that Brooks Robinson is Mr. Oriole (even though 16 gold gloves isn't 2,632, ha).

Since you're not a Baltimore native this is the point you miss. Everyone loved Cal and Brooks over the years. They're both Hall of Famers. They both spent their entire careers in Baltimore. That being said people in Baltimore name their pets after Cal. They name their CHILDREN after Brooks!!

I appreciate your list Walt and generally have no issues with any of your 25. My list would probably include Rick Dempsey. (Did we already talk about this?) Never offered much offensively, except for that MVP run in the '83 Series, and the fact that he was such a fan favorite in the community and after his playing days were over, I feel he is certainly deserving.

Thanks Jeff. I love these kinds of lists because for the most part everyone sees it differently and I love that. Dempsey almost made the list. Just felt like Hoiles was the better all around catcher.
