Oh mojo, how sometimes you get it so wrong, not only is it bad that not even 1 Ninja Gaiden boss was mentioned, you can't even count correctly, when 2000 is to 2024 its 24 years, and you say "hardest each year, meaning there can only be one each year, I'm really starting to think that you guys are so bad that you asked TMZ to help you with content, and they just laughed and gave you all a bunch of sugar high monkeys instead😂😂 #suspensionofdisbelief
if you played both gow and hollow knight, you 'd known sigrun is a cakewalk compared to absolute radiance. Sigrun is hard for casual players. AR is a nightmare for even the best of HK Pros
@@rexwest4532Yozora is harder than any Dark Souls and Elden Ring boss, I've beaten all of them easy and Yozora took me 80+ tries, same with anyone I know who beat him. Kingdom Hearts should be on this list more it has way harder bosses than the Souls games tbh lmao
Agreed, and for 2023, Lu bu from so long fallen dynasty was way harder than laxasia. Also for 2019, I think blade bearer and canonneer from code vein was much harder than isshin
Don't forget. On Final Fantasy XII on the PS2 in America, the boss fight Yiazamat (I think I spelled that right) that had like 6 or 7 million health and all your characters can only do 9999 damage because the English version of Final Fantasy XII didn't have the damage limit break. So I saw it took gamers on average 4-6 hours to beat it. Final Fantasy XII was awesome on the PS2 way back in the day. But Yiazamat. That was a grind and a half.
I was coming on here for this too. It literally takes hours to beat this guy and the status effects he could put on you were so frustrating. Great game.
13:03 i still remember doing this one SOLO! I tried to make people join me to fight him for hours! but stil could not win! some players even just left! some even just were trolling around! But after many MANY tries i beat him on my own!
Its because people don't realize how hard they are. All they know is fromsoftware makes hard bosses and they never realize Yozora and Lingering Will are harder than 99.9% of bosses
@@itsblademaster9019 Lingering will was 2007, so it'd be against Zeus from God of War 2, and Yozora was 2020 so it was against Tyrant from RE2 so your souls argument doesn't fit. However People have pointed out that RE2 was actually from 2019. So that's a mistake on Watchmojo's part.
@@GreatQuestionFran I meant more so as a general statement for when hardest bosses come up. But also those are definitely still both harder in their respective years lol
Most of those are variations on the same theme. What about bosses like the Ancient Dragons of Destruction from Borderlands 2? How about the Sathanas from Freespace 2? Dr Krieger from Far Cry? The Cyberdemon in Doom 3?
Yozora from kingdom hearts is definitely the hardest boss fight in gaming for me, he is harder than all these bosses mentioned. He took me about 40ish hours to finally beat.
Finally a gamer of culture 🙏🏻 I couldn’t agree more. Consort Radahn, Sigrun, Isshin… I’ve beat them all, but Yozora took me literally a full week to take down 💀
For me the biggest challenge of 2024 was Eigong, the last boss in Nine Sols. Just like in Sekiro you needed a ridiculously huge patience and sense of timing to not screw yourself in 1-2 hits. To spice things up a true ending route also had an additional boss stage where some attacks were totally unparryable, but without prior knowledge you had to die and repeat previous 2 stages from a beginning :D
If MMORPG bosses count, I'd say Mythic Jaina was the worst to fight on account of how she'd spam a 2 minute stun move that results in an instant kill move, and the attack can't be negated.
Fatalis is easily one of the hardest bosses in history while being one of the fairest of all, not even mr999 hunters could lower their guards for 1 second against him
Where is Monster Hunter in general? MHGU was released in the west in 2018, yet somehow Nameless King earns that spot? Bloodbath Diablos is way harder. This channel is just a massive glaze fest for Fromsoftware when ever it’s a difficulty tier list.
Still gotta love how soulsborne difficulty is not just BS, except O&S and Radahn, but just a hard-to-beat boss design. You don't need to evade the fight, but to embrace it and dance with bosses so you can beat them.
@@dsuable_I mean i don't believe O&S is a bs boss fight. I honestly prefer the Ancient dragon boss of ds2 as a legit bs boss even though technically he's an NPC if u don't attack him. But yeah, ancient dragon's fire attack is just bull sh*t lol😂
Skyrim is amazing. When it comes to it, I have played it on the Xbox 360 and PS3. But if I were to get it on the switch, it whould be 3 times. When ever I did my Xbox and PS3 playthrough. I remember having high levels and great weapons.
Dr. Nefarious in Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal, the first time through the game. You gotta dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge, use all your ammo, and get a little lucky. Then once you beat him the first time nothing is ever difficult again, because you can keep all your weapons and just nuke everyone into oblivion.
@@mattklein7155 I've played it through a ton of times, lol. The trick is to be efficient with your ammo, try to only use one or 2 weapons in the level leading up to Nefarious, that way any ammo you pick up from boxes will be for those 2 weapons only.
I remember gogandantes the sword Master from onimusha 2 being a pain, same with the white gold tower adjudicator in eso, party members could never pick locks fast enough.
i came here cuz i saw Darth Malak on the thumbnail, heres a little trick i used, before you start the fight with him, set up some land mines in the path you come in, mostly frag of plasma, once you use up his heal sources, run, he'll follow you so run back to the mines, he' sometimes force jump right into them
@@malikpittman6376 Lmao you must not played the game, Elden ring bout time reach Melenia and Radahn Your already overpowered or have really good weapons, Black Myth wukong there is no true overpowered weapons, You have to fight Erlang straight up
@monroethegreat7539 hear me out... you could also fight her not with OP weapons or being overleveled. Unless Ur spamming ROB or using a summon, doing her solo is incredibly hard. I have play BMW but I doubt this Erlang guy is harder than someone who heals each hit and has multiple instakill moves
@@malikpittman6376 Yes hes harder play Black myth wukong and you will see, It took me 80 trys to beat him, I beat Melenia after 4 trys but yes i used my summon lol
@monroethegreat7539 well then u can't say anything💀💀💀 Go try beat malenia solo. Do it. Then you'll see. I'm not buying BMW bc I'm happy with elden ring, but I watched ongbal beat him, and looked at the comments. Every single person in the comments was agreeing BMW mechanics and combat is way easier than elden rings
@@Bravelonelypeople721 That would be 2007 since he was from the Final Mix game. So his contender was Zeus from God of War 2. Never played that one so I'll leave others to argue that lol
Have played and beat both on hardest mode..... Honestly, the gauntlet before Clotho in GoW II took me longer to beat than either, but that's not a boss. Hm........................................ hard to say, it's been a while since I did either, so I don't remember how long either took me. I wanna say...... Zeus was at least broken up into sections, while losing to Lingering Will means starting entirely over from a save point. Reflaga is god-tier, while Zeus has unblockables. I'd say.... Zeus was harder, because often you're trading damage, while Lingering Will you could wait out and bait for opportune moments in the terrain, run from some of his attacks easier.
I did not think any of the bosses in the KH series or God of War series were that difficult. But i don’t know right off what other games came out in the same years with more difficult bosses 🤷♂️. I’m pretty sure i beat Sephiroth in KH1 first try. Unless you’re purposely handicapping yourself, you have so much at your disposal(potions, abilities etc) it’s not too bad despite being the hardest boss in the game. I do think Unknown from KH Final Mix was a bit more difficult but still not bad.
Sorry but Midir isnt harder than Fatalis from Monster Hunter World Iceborne. Calling Midir the hardest dragon boss in all gaming is a disrespect to the true black dragon.
@@sakuranohana1014Exactly but these videos really never have anything about it. They might have Fatalis once in a blue moon, but they never have the deviants, or 140 apexes or even the lv 300 risen elders.
I agree with some of the stuff in the lists. Here are my own personal challenging experiences playing some games: 1) Pretty sure elizabeth is way harder than nyx, needed a lot of prep just for her battle 2) This is just me but golden hippo was one of the laggiest fights in ER lmao, i guess cruscible knight duo was one of the more miserable fights unprepared 3) I think the armored core boss the one that shoots like a damn qubeley was annoying to deal not to mention multiple phases 4) I don’t think a lot of people would know this but one of the gundam vs games there’s a mission the defeat the alvaron boss but the issue was the minions that were on permanent burst and instant kill you and your ai partner before the boss even spawns. Took me a whole week to clear and cheesed it with zz. 5) Extremoth with hr gear was a nightmare that’s all i gotta say about that
I'm amazed I was able to beat Malenia & Promised Consort Radahn. Elden Ring is my first Fromsoft game. I'm not great at high difficulty games. Malenia took me 43 attempts in my first playthrough (10 on ng+ 1) Consort Radahn took me at most 30 attempts in my first playthrough (At most 15 attempts on ng+ 1) Didn't keep track of Consort Radahn, but I'm pretty sure I took longer to beat Messmer, who I beat first try ng+ 1. Wondering how long it will take me on ng+ 2 to beat them.
@@97alexk Yes, in my first playthrough. Black Knife Tiche for Malenia (Tiche usually died immediately in phase 02) Commander Andreas for Radahn (Andreas managed to survive the entire fight originally, but he kind of got wrecked in Ng+)
@@prc1410 Malenia overall is pretty easy, it's just Waterfowl Dance that is so hard, all her other attacks I can dodge quite easily, even Scarlett Aeonia. I'm pretty sure 90% of my deaths to her were because of Waterfowl Dance, I have no idea how to dodge it. Consort Radahn is a whole other beast, his first phase isn't to bad but his second phase is ridiculous, you get no chance to do anything and little to no punish windows. Honestly his fight felt rng based to me at times, but it's likely just a skill issue on my end.
Yep the Sword Saint from Sekiro was hard, but nothing compared to Sirus, Awakener of Worlds - Path of Exile, introduced 2019 to the game, 5 Years old this guy, and up today still only 3% of all PoE Gamers have beaten it yet.
Best bosses of the bunch (in my personal opinion) are Malenia, Radahn, and Raven Beak. Great fights, great presentation, and I’m glad that I got to experience them (I honestly think I have more ptsd from Raven Beak than I do from Radahn or Malenia). I’m glad to know that Ornstein and Smough are the hardest from that year, because now I don’t feel so bad about losing to them so many times now.
No surprise Radahn 2.0 is on the list! Only just beat him this past week and that was only due to having summoning another player who tanked him while we both applied bleed damage...and even then it took two tries xD
For 2015, i would have put Skolas from Destiny House of Wolves DLC. The Orphan of Kos is very hard, but Skolas was on an entire level. Skolas was so hard that many people thought he was impossible to beat. Only like 15 people worldwide beat him, so Bungie had to nerf the boss fight so much he would finally be able to be killed
Lou from GUITAR HERO III: LEGENDS OF ROCK Col. Mael Radec from KILLZONE 2 Xehanort from KINGDOM HEARTS III Tinkerer from SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES Tilda van der Meer from HORIZON: FORBIDDEN WEST Níðhöggr from GOD OF WAR: RAGNARÖK
I owe Malenia a rematch. I took her out with a mimic tear and the rivers of blood katana, and that combo kind of trivialized her. Next time we square off fair and square.
I don’t know about Zeus being on here twice. Maybe I just play those games too much, but I’ve beaten both games on the hardest difficulty and I didn’t think he was that bad. You do have to learn how to use L1 to block, but on medium I don’t even remember him being hard.
The only game you've mentioned in this video that I liked are (regardless of the hard boss difficulty): Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Devil May Cry Series (I don't like the remastered version), God of War Series, Bayonetta Series, & Metroid Dread

Bro have you played Final Fantasy 12? Yiazmat was INSANE about 20x harder than any other character in the whole game, and ~50x harder than the story final boss
Melania has been beating so often, that I just wanted to quit Elden Ring but after countless of tries, finaly beating her felt so nice. Now seeing what the DLC is about, just makes my more exited.
Sigrun has to be an honourable mention imo, she's absolutely brutal. Though having beaten both her and AbsRad I do agree with them putting AbsRad as a harder boss. That stupid fking moth is still to this day gatekeeping me from beating P5 even tho I've beaten her in Hall of Gods many times. Sigrun is a much more enjoyable fight though imo, I don't like the randomness of some of AbsRad's attacks whereas Sigrun can actually be learnt.
I remember it took me forever to beat Ozma. The final bosses were pretty easy, but he was a menace. Love FF9, probably my favorite 8h the series (6 and 7 are close).
2018 should've been Sirgun, to this day no other boss has put me through so much pain, she's one of the very few times that i felt that i just couldn't beat her no matter what i did, she totally destroyed me
Shout out to Zeus from God Of War 3 in 2010 that managed to beat all the bosses from Demon Souls including Flamelurker, Maneaters and Allanat (I think Allant is harder unless you play GPW3 on very hard) and to Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising Revengeance in 2013 that managed to beat all the bosses from vanilla Dark Souls 2 including Smelter Demon, Darklurker and Ancient Dragon (I think Darklurker was harder unless you play MGRR on Revengeance mode)
Wait, in 2017 it should have been The Devil from Cuphead!! It has 3 to 5 phases (depending on your parry timing) to roll the dice, go into random matches with other bosses BEFORE you even have the chance to fight him. Oh and it has permadeath so you go back to the beginning on the chapter
As soon as it was clear that DLC bosses can appear I knew for a fact that Manus, Fume Knight, Orphan of Kos, Midir and Promissed Consort Radahn will appear on that list LMAO
True monster hunter players know that endgame monsters from monster hunter series are always harder than any soul bosses. Those apex monsters and hyper monsters from 4th gen work the same as tempered/AT or afflicted/risen monsters from MH World and Rise. They have the power of one shot hit, and test your endurance and skill because fights don't last less than minute like soul bosses.
@@sakuranohana1014 I mean to be absolutely fair they can last minutes in MH but you need 1000's of attempts and perfect RnG but your point is 100% valid
Yozora from kingdom hearts is the hardest boss in gaming history for me. He took me over 30 hours which is ridiculous and i got lucky on the attempt i won on too. He is definitely one of the most broken bosses in gaming history.
I played Radahn for six hours with no success. I finally only won due to some weird glitch where he died right as I did but just in time for his glitch death to register so I didn’t have to do it again. Pathetic victory? Absolutely. But I’ll take it!
Haha i change my build for killikg him. In the first part i avoid and hit him, but in second phase i use a shield to protect me of some attacks. It is a crazy battle
Soulsborne bosses are just generally a lot harder than those of most other video games though. I have had several instances where I have fought a boss that was considered to be the hardest challenge in one game but only had the difficulty of an average souls boss.
@@jameslough6329ever tried Alatreon and Fatalis from Monster Hunter World? Monster Hunter has been around since 2004.Compared to soulsborne series, endgame monster hunter monsters are way harder than soul bosses.
@@sakuranohana1014 Idk about that. I think some of the endgame bosses in Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring are easily as hard as any of the Endgame bosses in Monster Hunter. I agree that the Monster Hunter series is an exception though. Alatreon and Fatalis were both definitely some of the hardest bosses I have ever fought.
In your hardest borres from 2000 to 2009 you had gow aries as 2005 and in 2010 to 2019 you had gna as 2018 Oh how i love you guys alight your bosses accurately whith the different list (in sarcasm for the last sentance
