oh there is 1 clip where a man controls a police station is gotham season 1 i think when sazz tells every cop to leave the station and gordon was feeling confident with his squad then he spoke like he was like a angry father and shouted "i said everyone out" lol and surprising to my young mind at the time the got up and left....lol. i can give that a number 1 for series. keep up the good work.
What really bothered me with that movie is how they absolutely made a mockery of my Norse mythology. Loki is gay? Or bi? Thor gets captured and undressed? Screw you, Taitiki (or whatever his name is) and your double standards. Try doing that with a certain prophet, or undressing a woman like that in 2023 without a war breaking out.
I'd like to point out that taking off Magneto's helmet would require you to knock him out so he doesn't use his powers as the helmet is metal and he just uses his powers to keep it on.
People think that they made Bucky annoying in the MCU? I've never heard that take. Is that really a popular take? (Honest question) I think his character arc has been damn awesome.
Just a couple gripes with this: 12:45 Magneto's helmet is primarily made of steel, which he could control with his powers. It would have been pointless for Sabretooth to try to take off the helmet as Magneto's magnetism is stronger than Creed. 18:42 That sword is All Black the Necrosword, not the Necromancer's Sword.
Apocolypse decapitating people and sinking men into the ground, the high evolutionary psychic gripping a god figure into metal, cat woman fighting a cop, harley quin fighting with a bat .... this list isn't in order right?
That hospital scene with the joker, well that hospital used to be a candy factory. I saw it on the UP Metra west line while going to work. Eventually, it got turned to heaps of gravel then carted away and is now a parking lot for trailers.
#20 was in the previous video. #18 was also in the previous video. #7 was also in the previous video. #4 was also in the previous video. #2 was also in the previous video.
Halle Berry doesn’t play Selena Kyle in Catwoman. Her name is Patience Phillips. She’s a antihero, not a supervillain. Same with Harley Quinn. Though, in Harley’s defense, she’s more of a villainess than Patience is.
Riddick is also a man, so yeah, he can easily take on two women. If you Google “ is Harley Quinn considered a antihero? “ you’ll find that the answer is “ yes “.
@@jamiethal1319 lol. Google is just going to tell me what some random person who is just as wrong as you thinks. Just because it's on Google doesn't mean it's correct. She is a villain, she kills people literally at random sometimes just for her amusement. She continued torture after she's gotten information just for fun. Dropped people in acid because she didn't want to "waste" it. The list goes on and on. Even in the shitty suicide squad movie she makes it clear that she is a "bad guy". The only thing you could arguably say was "heroic" is when she killed that dictator she was banging when he said something about killing kids, but he was dead anyways, I think she just said that for the lulz.
The Joker hospital scene with the trigger was not improvised, contrary to the common myth. It was completely scripted and the pause was intentional. Nolan wanted Ledger to be safe during the scene so he implemented the pause, evolving in to Ledger's Joker acting like the trigger was malfunctioning. Since the scene was done practically with a building actually being blown up, it was a one-take shot, no reshoots. So it was highly rehearsed prior to filming, since they couldn't exactly try it again, and the trigger "malfunction" was actually scripted.
Honestly, I think the Joker's train attack was a product of his mind, like his "relationship". Considering his first beating was from actual children and he was messed up from that one for days, he's moving pretty good for having been stomped by grown men.
Problem with villains that show unstoppable dominance one minute, they get beat by the end of the film is, the dominance scene no longer makes sense. If you can beat somebody, they'll never dominant you to the point, you've no answer for it
No one is more of a badass villain than the Joker. He's killed thousands in the comic books and yet they can't kill him because technically he's insane. Talk about how to play the system.
12:44 Prof. X did not force Sabertooth to take off Magnetos helmet, because it would be stupid to try that. The helmet is magnetic and Sabertooth is not magnetic, so Magneto can easily control his helmet and keep it on his head, but he can't control Sabertooth. What is indeed bad in this scene, is the fact, that the police officer did not simply move out the way, when the pistol projectile is slowly moving into the skin of his head. He is not magnetic, so there is nothing keeping him in place. Yes, sure, if a gun is pointed at you, and the person aiming it seems intending to shoot, if you move, you freeze. But not if the person already shot and through a magnetic force, a projectile is slowly moving into your head. To get hurt by such a slow moving bullet, you would have to actively commit suicide, by pushing your head into it.
Watched Deep Dive on TDK and apparently the scene with the Joker and the faulty remote detonator being an improv is actually a myth, it was in the script to add to the Joker's character.
Thank you for highlitghting this, i'm so sick of people spreading this bullshit story, especially people PROFESSIONALLY making videos for a living and not checking sources etc, because in the end it's an insult to the hardworking pyrotechnicians that made this scene so great...
29:14 Probably the biggest baddie flex ever in any comic book movie. No big speech, no gigantic weapon or amazing superpower. Just a hand laid on a shoulder and one of the most chilling lines in all comic book movies said in a dispassionate voice.
I didn't realize there was a potentially interesting version of the Riddler (other than John Astin) that wasn't the sooo dismissable versions of Gorshin or Carry! What have I missed?
Didn’t you watch the video? Obviously you missed it. Watch The Batman. Check out Paul Dano’s performance as The Riddler. By the way, it’s Carey, not Carry.
No it wouldn't have been easier to take off the helmet because he would have executed all of the humans. There is a strong bond between the two, so it's still not going to work. Beyond any of that, Charles' knows he needs magneto for the list of things in his mind. Charles knows everything all at once and Magneto is actually a part regardless of the humans lost. Tbf, it's a fictional world
Joker was alright. The whole movie is very unsettling. Could only watch it once, don't need reminders in my movies that life sucks, nobody loves you, and you can't dance. Prefer my superhero movies unrealistic and absurd
Wasn't Halley Berry's Catwoman an antihero? Same goes with Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey? I wouldn't call their portrayals even close to "supervillains".
Yeah, Marvel was definitely the latecomer and bit off a ton of ideas. The whole back and forth is kind of funny in hindsight, especially the whole Shazam thing. LOL@@davidanderson_surrey_bc
It's never been about the technology, when it comes to good visual effects. It's about the imagination of the people who use them, and there's no guarantee that they'll grow with the capabilities of the tech. It's all skill, and talent, and giving the reigns to artists who are actually passionate about what they do.
Commodus killing his father Caesar in GLADIATOR ' I would butcher the whole world if only you would love me' + Opening scene XMEN, Nightcrawler killing guards by teleporting
Funny that you should say that Halle Berry was playing Selina Kyle when that isn't even the case. She's playing a character far removed from Selina. In fact, her character, is Patience Philipps. A completely separate character, who isn't even canon in the comics before that movie came out, and hasn't ever been in the comics since then. Also, Blink really got triple teamed by Sentinels. And not in the very fun way.
9:54 "It all boils down to parenting skills" What is wrong with you? He was literally sent to "take the world". The vessel he was sent in was literally telling him what he was there for. And how does someone lose they "last shred of their humanity" when there they are ALIEN and don't have a SINGLE SHRED OF HUMAN IN THEM to begin with. Also the sentinels were NOT villains. They are tools. The only sentinel that actually is a villain was that one called Mastermind (I think that was it's name)
Hela was cool and fine but she’s so powerful, yet even blinder than thor not no be able to move 1m to the side to avoid surturs stike… Like thor and loki she could survive outer space since she’s a god herself so what stopping her from just throwing one of those massive shards at thors plane and destroying everything.. thanos was and is the only villain who played smart and used his strengths accordingly, brought sacrafices as well and the only thing he very closely lost to is fucking time travel… like its fair game to go down like that but even then he was very close to winning again…
That ultron speech reminds me of tars in the rain from blade runner ... and joker was right; while gotham has its fair share of evil doers and villains, it was joker that left biggest impact on city (and bats too) .
16:20 i dont really keep up much with these movies tbh, but this villain is literally Aatrox from League of Legends. Just listen to his voice lines and you'll see.
Could it be that big money wants you so muddled up mentally that you’ll root for the destruction of life - essentially destroying yourself? I think the answer is „yes!"
4:04 That wasn't Selina Kyle. That was Patience Phillip's version of Catwoman. Doctor Manhattan isn't (technically) a supervillain. You didn't mention Black Panther going against Bucky either. Please do more research before putting a video up.
I've watched 2 of these and leaving out the fight between the justice league is unbelievable. And the Infinity War fight shoulda been in the 1st video.
Magneto controls metal; maybe it would be problematic to target his helmet. Always aim for the neck. What was missing in the scene is the squeeze, jeje.
the first clip of christian bale playing the God Butcher, what was the name of the first god he kills with the new sword symbiote? from my understanding that sword came from Knull and it was a symbiote itself that Knull used but idk how it got to Gorr. at any rate, who was that god in the intro? he was sitting in that lush green area eating and drinking and it seemed as if he hated ALL the humanoid people who worshipped him... i don't understand why he let his followers die such horrible deaths so it was such a righteous kill in the opening. just wish i knew his name so I can do some research on him.
never mind i found a youtube video where it says his name is "Rapu" if anyone has information bout him off the top of their head, i'd love to know. he was RIGHT there and could have saved the little one... as well as their planet. they were faithful to this god their whole lives and he left them to die and starve to death. then laugh in his face when his daughter dies as a child and calls him a child, a dog, and says he's a fool for thinking there's an eternal reward for being faithful their whole life.... saying there's always more followers, laughing at his despair...
10:27 if Homelander would adept Brightburn, that kid would turn Homelander into his pet. Brightburns power level is about the same as a young Superman, while Homelander is not even a lightyear close to that. Homelander would lose to most of JLA/ JCA or Avenger members within a second, he's not that powerful, fast or strong. But maybe injustice Superman would be a possible foster dad for Brightburn. Edit: at 13:45 FYI it is the other way around. Aquaman is a version of Namor. Namor has been introduced in 1939, Aquaman in 1942. So Aquaman is the rip-off. The original Namor looked like his modern day comic version, was the king of Atlantis, son of Poseidon, etc., Aquaman is the copy, just blonde and with a scale amor on his chest and lacking wings.
"James Gunn managed to do justice to the franchise he built from scratch" (referring to the Guardians of the Galaxy in fact, he built them so much from scratch that he went back in time ti 1968 and mentally controlled Gene Collan and Mike Esposito to create the original team, then travelled forwards to 1975 to make Steve Englehart & Steve Gan create Star Lord as the son of J'son, but realising that he wouldn't like that parentage he jumped back further to 1966 to make Stan Lee & Jack Kirby create Ego, and realising that he needed other team members he travelled back even further to 1960 to again force Stan & Jack to create Groot, but keeping his time jumps more in line he went to 1973 to force Jim Starlin to create Drax the Destroyer (although Jim made him too powerful, so James had to de-power him), then jumping onto 1975 (again) to force Jim Starlin (again) to create Gamora (again was created too powerful, so James had to make her look like a wimp in the first film), and a quick walk over to mind control both Bill Mantlo & Keith Giffen into creating Rocket Racoon and finally a quick trip before heading back to the 21st century he went to 1979 to make the Nova Corp, but they were made too powerful, so he had to turn them into a laughing stock just to punish Marv Wolfman for making them useful, then onto 1985 to force Nebula into existence, and finally all the way back to 1969 to blackmail Stan & Jack into making Ronan the Accuser this was all exhausting, so he took a break before more time travel before the second movie, and the _real_ reason Disney "fired" him is because all this time travelling was coming to light, until he use his ability to make them forget why they got rid of him, leaving him some time to travel back and force the creation of every other Marvel character since he needed them to make the cross-overs in Avengers Infinity War & Avengers Endgame - plus all of the Thor references in Love & Thunder in fact, now that James has moved on from his work creating the entirity of Marvel comics, he's moved on to going back and creating all of DC - it's only because James has stopped using his amazing time travelling powers that the MCU has started to fall apart, because he won't go back and fix things anymore, so the films & shows are now lowering in quality - blame James Gunn for Phases 4 & 5!!!
