Haven't watched the full video, hope Jokic doesn't become Kareem before having Magic Johnson: Dominant but only one ring because he doesn't have good enough teams. For me his prime is minimum top-10 in NBA history, this level of player I think deserve a little more than 1 ring & 3 MVPs.
@@ljutko7lmao you act like teams can just go sign everyone. The NBA doesn’t want the same team winning every year and is making it harder to create dynasty’s. The nba wants younger teams to have a chance that’s why OKC is gonna be good until they have to pay everyone
The advanced metrics have Jokic head and shoulders above Luka. Luka is just knocking the door at being MVP level. Jokic grades out better than any player in history. Believe it or not.
No, Luka controls game. Jokic needs other players. Also big centers era of league finished so he uses it. When he got champ there was no center big enough in series to guard. Luka is far better player but needs title to prove.
In my opinion, defensive decline was mainly fatigue and lack of support versus 2023 and jump shooting decline was his right wrist issue. His 3 point mechanics look quite different than when he was hitting almost 40% of his threes. He now shoots stiff wristed rather than following through as much as he did. Hopefully, his wrist will improve without surgery. If he had hit his usual percentage of threes this year, he would have been in the NBA finals and Olympic champion.
Great points but most of all the big difference compared to the 2023 playoff run is that Murray played at a way lower level. With a better version of Murray Denver is a totally different beast.
I wouldn't put much emphasis on those stats. Allowing in more points at the rim is not a specific stat attributed to Jokic, it could also be affected by AG and general fall in team defense, communication. If you look at per 100 possession over championship year and last year Jokic had similar DRB from 13.7 to 13.6, BLK improved from 1.0 to 1.2 and STL improved from 1.8 to 2.0. His DRtg was slightly lower last season 108 compared to championship year at 110. If you look at AG his DRB dropped from 6.7 to 6.4, BLK dropped from 1.2 to 1.0, and STL dropped from 1.3 to 1.2 and a slight drop in DRtg from 115 to 114. KCP's DRB dropped from 3.6 to 3.1and STL from 2.3 to 2.0. Jokic's drop in jump shooting... Last season he attempted more FG's - 25.6 vs 21.5 in championship year. Also, more importantly 3PA last season was 4.2 vs 3.1 per 100 poss in championship year. It just means because of Jamals injury Jokic had to do alot of the scoring (37.8 pts vs 35.6 in championship year) so was exhausted and as the primary ball-handler, last season without Jamal on the court he was put in situations where the shot clock would run down and he was forced to shoot hail-mary 3's sometimes way out. I've noticed he would settle for those shots more whenever he was exhausted and he played nearly every game - 79/82. Also, the caliber of defense on the opposing teams was at a higher level than that of the 2022/23 championship run when the Nuggets ripped through every opponent. To summarise, Jokic's jumper didn't necessarily go bad, but because of team circumstances he was exhausted requiring to do more and take those shots on the buzzer.
@@medved4030 Very interesting, and the same dynamics in the Olympics with fatigue affecting his 3 point shot. What you say makes a lot of sense and gives hope for the coming seasion, assuming Jamal is right.
@@jaybee5269 Yeah. I actually made a little mistake. His DRtg actually improved 2 points last season compared to championship year. AG's also improved by 1 pt. I keep forgetting the lower the value the better.
@@metalhead2536yes, it’s definitely arguable that Jokic had a higher peak and is more dominant, as the way Curry got his championships had so much to do with the personnel on the teams and in the organization
Great video as always Jason, thank you. I agree completely with your takes on his weaknesses (as a Denver fan and a Jokic diehard), he was completely out of gas and didn't have the energy left to contest those rim attempts. I know Denver's offseason was questionable at best, but I do hope that Dario Saric helps make a difference at the very least in how much rest Jokic gets per game. Overall, Jokic is my favorite athlete of any sport of all time, and he singlehandedly revitalized my love for basketball. Denver basketball will feel very hollow after he retires, so I'm going to enjoy all of it while it lasts, no matter the outcome of each season.
Jokic NEVER played with another all star...think about it...if Jokic had Booker as a teammate he would already be sitting on like 2-3 rings...or just if Murray was healthy.... Best on the world hands down!
idk its easier said than done, jamal plays with jokic better than any other guard could. Remember this is real life and not 2k where you can just put one player on a team and just magically make things work. The reason jamal and booker (if they were to switch) just wont make things easier for jokic is because jamal and jokic have 8 years of chemistry, but of course i do think that booker could adjust given some time but again jamal just fits better as they know each others game. Jamal murray is also really good in the playoffs, he plays like an allstar, his issue is just injuries and there are better guards in the west, but jamal is like that kyrie player (obviously worse) who is as a number 2 option is better than other players who are number 1s, jamal murray is better than cade cunningham (albeit cade is on the worst team in the league) What im trying to prove to you is that jamal murray is a good player ( he played bad this post season cause of injury even though he had two game winners) remember the 2020 playoffs where he and donavan mitchell went crazy and dropped 50 points in their series, JAMAL IS GOOD, hes just an injured player who is a number 2 so his stats wont be as high. Jokic does have good players around him, they either: play bad (2024 playoffs round 2), are injured (2021 and 2022) or they healthy and decide to play like prime jordan (2023 playoffs) I advise you to watch their regular season games, jamal is important.
Mailbag: What do you make of Jamal Murray getting his bag? IMO, last year was a let-down from him so I'm surprised at the deal. Dig the show and thanks for continuing to put out great content.
Jokic was GREAT on defense in Minesota series after the first two games and at Olympics...his team is ALWAYS top 10 on defense with him on the floor... He is like Marc Gasol, won't get a lot of blocks but is good on defense.
Jokic needs help! His team is 30 wins team without him. The only team built to stop Jokic, Wolves are the only team that can stop Denver but they are vulnerable to a teams with great guards like Mavs or Celtics. It’s all about matchups in the NBA.
Always apreciate your takes. Started watching like a year ago, and I really enjoy your analysis. You are clear about who your players and team are, but still deliver non-bias takes. I love to see that. Keep up the great work.
Ignore the hate. This list was really good. You explained your criteria (repeatedly) and gave good arguments for each ranking. The people crying about it either aren’t listening or are arguing about something you aren’t saying (often both).
Great job! As an analyst, and a huge basketball fan, I really appreciate your breakdowns. Your views are backed by very useful and relevant data. Keep it up!
Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion but it's absolutely amazing how many of you in the comments are seemingly completely unable to recognize your own biases. There's mayyybe like .5% of you that can actually make a basketball case for your opinion. The rest of you just base everything on how you feel. This is Jason's list, and if you can't give a reasoned argument for why you disagree, as Jason has given pleeeenty reason for his list IF YOU ACTUALLY LISTEN, try to control your emotions and get over it.
Wow! Great job with the rankings! I really love your show and appreciate your analysis and dedication. I am learning a lot about a game I’ve always enjoyed watching but never played much. All three of my sons play. My oldest even plays pro ball in Japan. Your show helps me have more informed conversations with my sons, and I can’t thank you enough for that. Keep up the good work. P.S. I understand your reasoning, but I would still put Giannis at number one, because of how good he is on both ends of the court.
Every time someone brings up Jokic's MVPs and doesn't call out Mark Jackson by name for singlehandedly stealing the threepeat from Jokic and gifting it to an always-injured Embiid, I get visibly upset. In this period of open, honest award voting, pretending you didn't know what you were voting for and not losing your vote or receiving any pushback really infuriates me.
I enjoyed your list, and I’m not mad about any of the rankings, even though I just don’t like some of the players that were above players I do like. It seemed informed, thoughtful, and measured.
And doesn't complain. No passive aggressive messages, demands or drama. He plays the cards he is given. If that means no Jamal/Mike and running with AG, Will, Rivers, Jamychal, he will still do everything in his power to will his teammates to a win. And will take responsibility. The most low maintenance super star and easiest to play with since Tim Duncan.
@@LeksoSjamal murry in the playoffs is one of the best guards in the league when he’s healthy plus their championship year both AG and KCP were playing elite defense just cause they dont have the name value doesn’t mean their not producing like 32/6/5 in the wcf and if u watch the games he was killing and coming clutch thats elite production I still thibk Jokic is the best player in the league but i disagree with the doing more with less point
Nuggets needed depth, & 3 point shooting. They now have julian strawther ( go look at what he’s done in summer leave) about to play more legitimate minutes, & dario saric about to come off the bench . For a secondary ball handler off the bench russ is definitely better then reggie . The bench had poor rebounding. Russ will help with that. With the lost of kcp braun has to start to we wouldn’t have had any poa defenders off the bench. But russ will help with that. If peyton watson takes a jump like we expect him to, you know have 4 players with @ least one skill they’re legitimately good to great at off the bench. We’ve NEVER had that before. The nuggets will be fine.
Apologize for the vitriol from my end from time to time. Enjoy the content.. didn’t agree with a lot of the list but always love to tune in and hear u discuss ball
i think that a lot gets lost through txt communication too. if i tell argue w a friend over a ball take he doesnt take it as vitriol, but from some1 you dont know on the internet where you cant even hear their tone everything is interpreted as an attack. i think thing has to wrk both ways ways. 1 dont call names n b a dickhead 2. give ppl the benefit of the doubt that theyre not MAD bc they disagree w you. i think defensiveness escalates these convos as much as anything feel me?
Mailbag Q: Hey Jason, keep up the good work. Can you also do a series giving defenders some love. I’d love to see you break down the best defenders in the nba. Ideally best perimeter defenders and then best interior defenders or however best you think it’ll flow better.
Regarding the negativity... I think that's step one of deciding to become a content creator. Prepare for the haters. They'll always be around. You do great work! Happy to have hours of quality NBA content to listen to from someone so knowledgeable about the game... even if they're a Lakers fan ;) #MFFL
With KCP gone, the defensive weaknesses of Jamal Murray is exposed a ton. I’m starting to have a ton of concerns with Jamal moving forward. The obvious first concern is the Nuggets need to go get a potentially toxic Russel Westbrook to help defensively at least in part because of JM’s defensive liabilities. Maybe RW can help redefine Jamal back to the two which may be interesting, but Westbrook’s lack of a jump shot does not open that up as much as it would otherwise. Second, Jamal’s presence can only be justified if he is producing offensively at a high level, and he must be showing up as big shot Jamal in the postseason. His shooting in the postseason was atrocious aside from those game winners. He was awful in the Olympics. I’m starting to worry about his production. Lastly, he looks like his body is breaking down. The postseason injuries and his limited play for Canada seemed to support this concern. There’s no doubt he is a great contributor, but I doubt we will ever see the things he did in the bubble again. In other words, with very little defensive upside, a struggling offensive game, and a broken body, is it time to consider moving on from Murray for the Nuggets?
One ring in an era where he is the “indisputable” best player and has the perfect complimentary team in the league and the excuse was fatigue from last szn is crazy no other all timer would get that excuse
He had a complementary team in 23, which they won. He had a hobbled number 2, and arguably the least depth in the league in 24. So no, in 24 he did not have a perfect complementary team.
Sure you’re smart enough to know Jokic never bitched about being fatigue. Maybe he was tired in the Olympics after almost beating the US team🤔 Right, never did…he’s a beast.
Hey Jason, a quick mailbag question. A little late considering the list is already done, but oh well. You've mentioned how you've dropped players like Steph and Bron for a dip in their motor during the regular season and bumped players like Tatum for his consistency in the 82. At what point do you value the benefit a player brings in a playoff series over what a player can do in the 82? Are their diminishing returns for the regular season? Love the show! Really appreciate your basketball insights over the same drama-driven rhetoric we see on ESPN!
When Jokic lost to the Wolves he was just granted the excuse of getting tired without any criticism about his weight or that he could have better conditioning he was just allowed to get tired. Luka looks worn down and clearly injured two rounds later and it comes with a ton of scrutiny. Just like how Jokic frequently whines to the refs without ever being called on it when Luka is criticised for complaining to the refs constantly. Why is it that Jokic can do no wrong and Luka is never good enough for so many of you?
Because Jokic in game 7 got literally 1 minute of rest while having 2 bigs on him all game with a fresh 3rd big switching in when the other gets tired...might have something to do with that, no? Jokic used to whine a lot to refs, now he lets a lot of things go and just puts his hands up. Luka actually starts crying to the refs arguing. Jokic rarely argues now, he'll yell and move on. Luka will keep at it.
Mailbag/new video idea- Congrats on the list! A huge amount of work has gone into it with lots of evidence to back up your positioning. Always makes for great debate. An idea, maybe for next year as it would take you a lot of time to prep and could be something you do with the nerd sesh guys: You’ve made it very clear that your top 25 is if you were building a team from scratch and then going in a snake order draft, and what pieces you would/could put around those choices. Well, let’s put that to the test. You and the nerd sesh guys get 10 teams each, from a random draw, and then have to put 3 players per team (5 would drag out with 150 players, but 90 could be done pretty easily given the talent in the league). Would be fascinating to see how you basketball minds think in constructing a roster and would make for some outstanding basketball debate. Just an idea but would bring your reasoning for the list to life. Thanks as always for bringing real basketball talk to us pundits
Can you do a video on super stars fit with their current teams? For example, who fits well and who needs change to happen before they maximize their impact on their team’s success. Maybe Best Fit, Worst Fit.
Love Jason's stuff and agree completely that Jokic is the best player in the world but this wasn't one of his better efforts. But at some point what else can you say about a player that you can't say anything more about?
It’s weird how he barely even attempted midrange jump shots last season where in the past he was almost automatic from there.Fuking shame if that wrist injury is still bothering him.Been long time now
Remember the game when Jokic got poked in the eye? I think he has lingering binocular vision impairment from the trauma the way many people do after a concussion. His depth perception seemed affected on his jumper more after that. With binocular vision issues, you still have depth perception but it's different because your eyes aren't working together correctly. You need both eyes working together well in order to have the best depth perception and coordination. He should work with a sports vision therapist and I would bet big money his jumper improves greatly
For a mailbag: When was the last time the gap between the best and 2nd/3rd best players was this wide? Jokic is so far and away the best player, it’s preposterous.
2018, the gap between Bron and Curry/KD/Kawhi/Harden was even bigger than the gap between Jokic and Luka/Giannis/Embiid/SGA, the gap was so big that the 2nd and 3rd best player Curry and KD joined force to beat him, so 2018, that’s the last time
@@Anthonydu01630 hm. I’m not so sure. Both Curry and KD were playing at an insane level, even accounting for having a stacked team together. Especially KD from 2017-2019. I doubt Curry or KD could’ve pulled off what bron did in that playoff run, but I still felt they were all pretty close. Jokic is significantly better than Luka or Giannis. I’d say Bron in the playoffs 2016 or Bron in the playoffs 2013 were the biggest gaps like Jokic now.
Mailbag question: I would like to address your last 2 points for why you have Jokic over Luka. I don't think score percentage is really that relevant of a stat. It is really only important if it is exactly the last position of a game and you are down 1 or the game is tied. In all other cases it still matters whether you make a 2 or a 3. Take the stepback from Luka over Gobert for example. The fact that it was a 3 totally made a difference there since it wins it for you whereas a 2 would have only tied. In regards to the defence I agree that Jokic is the better defender in a vacuum but he also occupies the center position which is by far the most important defensive role on the team. Thus having jokic means you forfeit the ability to play a defensively dominant center which limits the defensive ceiling of your team whereas Luka you can pair with a guy like Lively who is an elite athlete and on the way to becoming a top tier rim protector that can make up for a lot of Luka's shortcomings defensively. I would still have Jokic over Luka overall but just wanted to address these 2 points. Love the show and thought this format in particular has been great!
For your lineup w/o the best player on any team: I’d take either Derrick Whit or Jrue Holiday (and honestly, probably a couple of others) over Dame, from a roster construction perspective, especially at this point. Both are more useful off ball players and dramatically better defenders. They both also do the dirty role player type things. With as much talent as the team has, I think those things are more important than another on ball scorer, since eventually you get diminishing returns by just adding another one of those.
Here's a mailing question I'm really curious about you gave your top 25 and I am a Jokic fan so I agree with most of your list but of your top 25 which players can be put on any of the remaining 31 teams and get those teams to the Conference finals at least
jason i feel bad for you with all the genuine idiots in your comment sections. also one thing ppl dont talk a lot about with jokic is he just doesnt feel nervous in big moments its like his heart rate never goes above 60 bpms(or whatever a cool calm and collected heart rate is)
The Nuggets had the 2nd best crunch time defense last season. Jokić can't afford foul trouble during a game but in crunch time (we saw at Olympics) you can tell he ups his defense as does the rest of team. That stat shows what you see when you watch him & Nuggets play full games: they turn it up defensively in crunch time. They're not the first or only team to do this. It's common.
Hey Jason big fan from Hong Kong Love the series! I see your point about jokic being better than Luka and an interesting point you brought up was the aaron gordon proponent. Just as a thought experiment I am curious to know how you think Gordon would fit on the mavs in place of a pj Washington or something. Would luka be able to make gordons lack of shooting work and would a two vertical spacers with a gordon + gafford/lively frontcourt and a reduction in 3 and D guys be able to work
Crazy to say/think a Guy that has Limited Athletic Ability is The Best Player in The NBA however, The 🃏 Joker is The Best All-Around Offensive Player in The NBA (Luka is the Best Scorer)!!! I do think Joker will only play 3-4 more Years bcuz DEN has/will Shift so drastically from Their Championship Squad and Joker will have nothing else to accomplish.
Hello Jason, this is a serious question. Are we not annoyed by how each players or teams are perceived in the NBA? Not just today but in history, perception always doesn't match reality. Like this one, if Steph or KD or someone like Tatum and Booker lose the way the Nuggets lose in that Game 7, we will blame it on them. But since it's Jokic (or Bron in his time) who is recognize as the "best player" in the world, we always look at them last in the blame list. I think perception really is corrupting us NBA fans on how we judge these players. For example, in 2015, we expect LeBron to win because he's that great, and when the injuries happened, that's the automatic excuse. But in 2020 we didn't use that same logic, because the perception was LeBron and the Lakers will win anyway even if Bam and Goran was healthy. That maybe true, but the favorites doesn't always win. I'll give you an example. In 2011, if Jason Terry and Shawn Marion got injured, no excuses will be given to Dirk, and we would not have hold that injuries to Bron's 1st Championship because the superteam Heat will "win anyway". But if Wade and Bosh got injured, all the excuses will go to LeBron and Dirk rings will be belittled. Same with Jokic now, we get it team USA roster is overpowered, but they still had a 17 pt lead, and Jokic didnt even play well, at least not efficient. But little to no blame was given. This perception thing is also the reason why you rank Giannis 1 and Steph 2 after Steph won in 2022. I get it 1 year later you said you regretted it, but still. This was all the effect of perception. Can we judge players on what actually happened and not what we expect from them?
I can't wait to see the mountain of excuses people make for Jokic after this season while still trying to pretend there's some massive gap between him and everyone else.
The West is so loaded. GS Sacto and the Pelicans might be 6 7 8 and that is not chopped liver. No team in the West will dominate. I see OKC as the 1 team. Denver two. Mavs, Minn, Phoenix, GS Warriors, Sacto Pelicans.
idk that i agree but sure, let say its harder to incorporate an F offensive player in a good offense, than a F defensive player in a good defense... problem is there are no bad offensive players in the top 11. but there ARE bad defenders in there. the real question is: does the gap between an A+ player and B+ player on offense outweigh the gap between a B+ player and a D+ player on defense. having luka as high as you do means you think that answer is yes which implies that you think offense is wayyyy more important than defense. if you truly believe that defense is equal to offense in a team context you cant have luka that high bc : its WAY easier to build a good offense around a B+ offensive guy than it is building a good defense around a D+ defensive guy
the only reason I give offense the edge over defense is that on any given play great offense beats great defense. n if you play defense you know there are possessions where you literally did everything you could to make it tough on your matchup n they still hit the shot my thought has always been its equally hard to build around an F player on either side of the ball, but im going to think abt that. either way thats not the discussion we're having in these rankings
It's always hard to rank players like Doncic. Personally while i recognize his incredible talent and offensive impact i'm not a fan of his playstyle. He's way too ball dominant to build an offense that is matchup resiliant to any kind of teams and we saw how Boston made Dallas offense look bad most of the time. He has basically no off ball value and against some teams is a total defensive liability. It's easy to build a pretty good team based on his offensive mastery but i'm still not convinced you can win a championship this way, even in today's nba that is primarily offensive oriented.
The Mavs had the best defense to close the season with Luka on the court. But your own logic that means Luka isn't even close to as bad defensively as you want to pretend he is.
@@Anthonydu01630 yep n im just clarifying how much more he values offense on an individual basis. its like 3 or 4 to 1. esp if he thinkgs its 50/50 on a team level. which goes to the original point that ppl undervalue the defensive end. its all offense in todays nba fandom. n ftr you can scheme up both sides of the ball. its not like strategy only works on defense

hey jason have you heard anything on the jamal murray contract dispute situation? it sounds like theres some bad blood forming with the front office not wanting to resign him for the number he wants
@@vlada i actually think there is some actual fire creating all that smoke coming out of denver. jamal was probably pissed they didnt just hand him the contract right away based on his part in the championship run and the front office was hesitant cause of this past post season run. i also think its true that malone is upset with the front office not resigning kcp and going with the unproven christain braun in his place..and then bringing in russ as jamals backup. im a bit upset with the front office as a fan myself like they give us this lip service, "we gotta push all our chips in while we have the best player in the world", and then they go let kcp walk and have an overall weak off season compared to our western conference rivals.. and if one more person says we were strapped for cash just look at what the suns have done who our in a worse financial spot than us bringing in above average vets on minimums and just living with the consequences of the second apron cause they have an all time great on their team. i think calvin booth is bad at recruiting free agents and stan kroenke is doing what he's always done with the nuggets, cheap out at the end of the day.
I honestly didn't realize US football had more resonance here. It could just be your particular discursive community? Or maybe my bubble is more bbal-centric-I haven't watched US football since Ricky Williams retired the first time.
I will continue to make every video about Steph. Bro won a chip in 2022 with that roster and didn’t sniff best player in the world consideration. But here’s Jokic still number 1. Make it make sense
jokic is not a more versatile offensive player than luka is. it comes down to being a bad shooter in the playoffs. especially because jokic depends on a dunker when posting up. such a space killer. luka is way more versatile and every player on the court offers a mismatch he can punish everywhere on the court.
Comparing Jokic to magic curry lebron and bird when he has all these mvps but only one ring against a weak heat team is so crazy I hate this era when you can get anointed as the best without the result of RINGSSS I believe Jokic is all time but to anoint him over other all timers without the rings is very disingenuous and biased
Just gonna say this, compare the teammates all these players had to the team Jokic has had so far, at the end of the day it's a team game and this gets substantially more clear in the playoffs
22:02 nah facts man. Jokic’s 3 was just broken All yr that shit was heartbreaking to watch 😭. He’s regressed from 3 before so i’m hoping he comes back to what he once was😭
Joker playstyle - go in the flor and everybody in his team feel safer! no one know why and how but it is the case!! OI are the real proof for this!! don't remember any player with that influence except maybe MJ but Joker can do in different ways.. teams with and without Bron play with the same amount of effort and courage!! because of that influence on the game and the balls to go out on the field when it is most needed and solve things, LeBron has nothing to look for in some imagined goat race with MJ.. statistics and records are a matter of the will to make them, it is not the most important indicator !!
Nuggets are done imo. They still haven’t fixed the holes in the roster especially defensively, secondary ball handling and shooting. I rewatched the playoffs when they won the ring and then this year and the decline is noticeable. It’s the young crowd league now.
Don't forget there's now two teams that have the personnel to slow down the Nuggets. Timberwolves obviously beat them, but we're downplaying them coming back down 20 in a game 7 on the ROAD. OKC essentially copied the wolves and brought in a 7 footer to absorb Jokic and a roaming big to contest his shot, with two *elite* physical perimeter defenders.
@@uwannasee_greatness That’s another good point. Their offense can be limited if you have the personnel. Physical athletic perimeter defenders and legit strong centres essentially is the formula. Hartenstein was arguably the most valuable pick up of the off season.
@@uwannasee_greatnessI don’t think we have enough evidence to say whether or not OKC can deal with Denver. Even with the Wolves, we know the CAN, but I’m still going to favor the Nugs in a series a little
@@desipardo1646i mean with caruso and lu dort they have the perimeter defense to slow down jamal murry more so than the wolves did in my opinion dort is a better defender than ant and caruso a better defender than murry the frontline is good but thats more iffy because unlike rudy and kat chet isn’t big enough to withstand jokic 1on1
Jokic vs Lebron in his prime isn't a debate at all. Lebrons has 4 or versions that are head and shoulders above Jokic. Jokic without Murray lost in 5 to GSW in 2022 and the series wasn't close. When Jokic proves he can carry a team like Bron did in 07,09,15,16 and 18. This is excluded, Miami Bron where 2012 and 13 are among the greatest players ever.
17:44 that’s a lie you never mentioned SGA weaknesses because if you did you’d see, he’s nowhere near Tatum. He’s like three slots below, pushing Embiid territory. But go off sis.
41 min video glazing Jokic as if he didn’t lose as the favorite to a 22 year old in the 2nd round and choke a 16 point lead in a home game 7. He’s a great player but it seems to me that people have no problem anointing Jokic as one of the best ever when he has accomplishments but those same people give excuses for him when he doesn’t meet expectations.
Bron and Steph weren’t allowed to have 2nd round flameouts in their prime with championship rosters. They would’ve been cooked by the whole NBA World. I like Jokic but he gets passes that past guys never got.
Plenty of people are flaming Jokic for the last playoff run and pleeeenty of people have given passes to Bron, Steph, and every other NBA great who didn't meet expectations at one point. This is a pretty dumb narrative with nothing to back it up.
@@psychenautes Bron and Steph never got bounced in the 2nd round at home in their prime. Steph lost a FINALS by 4pts and got heat for it for YEARS. Eliminated from MVP talks for the rest of his career. Jokic still getting called the best player in the world a month or two later. It ain’t the same.
@@dcdj35 so the criteria is strictly losing in the 2nd round AT HOME, got it lmao. Steph stopped being in MVP talks laaaargely because KD joined his team. No one should be considered MVP with KD on their team.
@@psychenautes you know that being at home in a Game 7 means you have home court advantage. Cause you’re the better team. So…as a favorite…he got dropped off in round 2.
Jason Timpf gets Jokic. Fans see numbers and think they are all created the same for each player. Not with Jokic, everything he does is so additive. They aren't isolating him on every possession like other guys. He reads the floor and finds 20ppg within the flow of the offense and will only forces the issue for the rest of them when the team needs it.
