Dead Cells, Enter the Gungeon, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove, Salt and Sanctuary, Blasphemous, Into the Breach, Death’s Gambit Afterlife are great ones as well
Great list!!! I gotta say that Hades should come with a warning since there's truly no escape; whenever i think I'm done with it i come back for "one" more round. There's so so much value in Hades is quite an outstanding game.
There's so many fantastic indie titles on Switch, it's impossible to make a definitive list that everyone can agree upon. But I love coming across videos like this because there's always a game on there that I haven't tried yet! Ori and the will of the wisps is hands down my favorite game. I love hollow knight, but Ori is WAY better imo. It feels flow-y-er, and the platforming and cbat and honestly everything is just a blast.
I think story centric games often get omitted in this type of list. I’d give a big recommendation to Firewatch and What Remains if Edith Finch who are two of the best “walking sims” on Switch. Add in Gris and Night in the Woods, which are sort of puzzle platformers, and there are some great stories and characters on Switch in some games that really center them.
I’d have to do a top 50 after looking at my collection with the ones you listed too!? 😅 I’d definitely have Dead Cells here, Either Golf Story or Sports Story… which are actually top down RPGs with a golf and sports themes … also gotta include Binding Of Isaac Blasphemous, I haven’t finished Salt and Sanctuary yet but it seems good so far, Heaven Dust 1&2 if you’re into the Resident Evil series only with better controls, moonlighter, Enter the Gungeon, and also just trying Dex recently but really cool vibes with it so far. There’s also a ton of really good walking Sim and story driven games I can’t even begin to list off but yeah it’s an indie gamers dream!
One masterpiece that's on Switch (PS4/5 as well if you own that but not a Switch) is 13: Sentinels Aegis Rim. Not an indie game, more of a AA game, by the legendary Vanillaware. That is a must play even if you aren't into Real Time Strategy games. I don't even like strategy games but this game made me like them. And the story is a class on its own with how amazingly written it is. It's my favorite sci-fi game ever made.
Great list. It would be difficult to just name 25. There are at least 50 that you could mention. Guacamelee 1 and 2, cyber shadow, sparklite, skul and tails of iron. All very easy recommendations.
I was waiting for you to mention Hollow Knight, it was really hard and I sunk so many hours in it trying to beat the game as well as the additional challenges-- P5 is the only challenge I haven't beat yet! About a year ago, not long after finally being able to afford a Switch, there were two games I was immediately interested in getting-- well, when I can afford to, lol-- Hades and Hollow Knight. I ended up getting Hades first (around Christmas), played it, LOVED it (you know a series has made an impact on you when one of the themes becomes an earworm for you), then several months later I got Hollow Knight, played that too, was super frustrating bc I sucked at it but I didn't give up, absolutely fantastic game as well. I also have played Stardew, both Ori games, and most recently Cult of the Lamb. I think I'll get Celeste next time I have some spare cash.
I liked Wolfenstein and Doom so I think Dusk catches my attention, it also reminds me of Doom Eternal where moving around in combat is essential, so I am down for some high octane and adrenaline action pumping throughout the battlefield. Thank you for this 😊🙏🏾
Metroidvania is the most overused/misused term ever among gamers, it essentially has been dumbed down to the point where it apparently just means open world that you have to backtrack in. Top-down Zeldas are not Metroidvanias ugh.
Grateful for the video although.. This guys has no idea what he’s talking about IN some games.. Dusk is an uncanny version of the first quake game , it looks nothing like doom or WolfenStein.
There is a game on the switch I got it when I first had my switch back in 2019 and that game had a look like hades but u had multiple classes u had a monk a sword fighter and so on but I don’t remember the name please help me find it again
Good video but the constant grammatical error of using plural for singular or vice versa is very distracting, e.g, "There's a ton of good games out there." Instead of, "There are a ton of good games" or better yet, "There are many good games..." If that grammar was fixed then, I could enjoy these videos more.
Interesting. The first fragment "There's a ton" seems to agree, however the weight metaphor itself doesn't seem to correspond neatly to essentially weightless software programs. Also i don't really like the weight as equal to many. I would prefer more concise "There are oodles of games out there".

I really don't know what's going on man but it's not a good thing.
