I like how you include all the rides, not just the coasters. it's refreshing to see someone not put Maverick in second. Maverick looks incredible, but Millenium Force looks just as good if not better to me.
@@randalheller7460 I want to ride it. I won't be getting to Cedar Point for a while though most likely. I see where you're coming from more now though after riding some new coasters since I posted this comment. I'm not sure which I will prefer now.
Thanks alot for putting Mean Steak as an mention. I've rode it all throughout my life and actually wept up tears when they were closing it for good. The last day I was there in 2016 I rode it about 10 times in a row before having to begrudgingly leave the park and head back home to Michigan lol.
My Top 20: 1. Steel Vengeance 2. Maverick 3. Magnum XL -200 4. Top Thrill Dragster 5. Millennium Force 6. Gate Keeper 7. Raptor 8. Gemini 9. SkyHawk 10. Max Air 11. Witches Wheel 12. Valravn 13. Blue Streak 14. Wicked Twister 15. Rougarou 16. Cedar Down 17 Snake River 18. Power Tower 19. Tiki Twirl 20. Power Tower Where is the other park that has something like Cedar Downs?
Thank you for giving Mean Streak some love, most other people just talk trash about it. I rode it in 2014, and as a European who isn’t as used to wooden coasters as Americans are, Mean Streak had quite a nostalgic feeling to it.
I worked at CP and rode Mean Streak all the time. I was so sad when they closed it, BUT the replacement is SO good I can forgive losing Mean Streak, barely.
I’m pretty sure I got a concussion from riding the Mean Streak the last time I rode it (after my brother talked me into it and said they had done work to smooth the ride out a little at the time…yeah right!). Was like being in a paint shaker and had recurring headaches for two weeks afterwards. Miserable experience with that one.
I like how you group all rides together in these lists. I'm not sure how I would fit the non-coasters into the list. Snake River Expedition was a lot of fun. I don't rank Magnum as high as some people, but I don't rank it as low as others. Raptor's headbanging has really soured my feelings on that ride. I've been spoiled by so many loopers that have lap bars, so I'm less tolerant of B&Ms bulky head restraints. If Raptor had vest restraints, I would think much more highly of it. Gatekeeper never disappoints. I love it so much. I only have your top 3 ahead of it now. I got to ride Mantis in 2014, and I would rank it ahead of Rougarou and probably just behind Gemini. I thought the layout worked better in a standing position to be able to avoid headbanging.
I'm from the area and everyone here fucking hated the Mantis lol. I enjoyed it but it definitely puts a strain on your legs and can be pretty rough on your back. But yeah it's probably the most hated coaster in Cedar Point history except for maybe the original Mean Streak.
Interesting tho that you had a bad experience on the Raptor, ime that's one of the smoothest rides at the park, maybe it's body size related or something but I've never banged my head and I've got a good ~10 rides on it.
I got stuck on the gate keeper for 45 minutes😮 luckily it was at the end of the roller coaster so we could just walk to the station from where we were😅
People always talk about how Cedar Point doesn't have the most roller coasters, but fail to realize/take into consideration that they have the most roller coaster track in length.
I'm surprised Snake River Expedition wasn't higher up given your love of dark rides and Disneyland given that the ride is a better version of Jungle Cruise.
Do you have 34 hours a day?? I am not complaining at all! Really enjoying all these lists! This one as well! Did you get to ride the indoor intamin bobsled and Mantis? If, how would they have ranked?:)
It’s no surprise steel vengeance is number one, it’s my number 1 on my coaster list and is an absolute amazing ride I agree with your list only difference I have with your list is maverick being above millennium force
I have Steel Vengeance and Maverick as my numbers 1 and 2 at Cedar Point. I probably am overateing this, but Raptor is my number 3 here. I am a sucker for B&M inverts, and this one is no joke. It also debuted 81 days before I was born. Magnum and Millennium Force often duke it out for 4 and 5 for me.
Awesome rankings, we share a very similar list besides Maverick and Millennium Force, I have them flipped from your rankings! But other than that almost every spot is the same!!! Steel Vengeance is so worth the visit out to this park… I would travel anywhere to ride a ride just as good as Steel Vengeance
Did you know Wild Mouse at Cedar Point opened in 2023, and did you know anything about Top Thrill 2? But would you like to go to Cedar Point again? What do you think?
Did you ever come off something at Cedar Point in pain? Did you ever come off something at Cedar Point disappointed? Did you ever come off something at Cedar Point breathless?
I could not of loved my visit to this absolute coaster heaven more, the fact that they have one of the best, if not the best collections of coasters in the world and an amazing collection of flat rides. It is 100% impossible to get board here. Minus all their coasters, they have Sky Hawk which made me think Screaming Swings are probably my favorite flat ride excluding drop towers. And they have 4 S&S towers, 4! And a Frisbee and it goes on. There is not 1 bad ride here, ok yeah I forgot Corkscrew exist, but still, 70-80% of the rides here are good, that's crazy.
I love your Cedar Point coaster rankings here; of all of RU-vid's coaster enthusiasts, you have a Cedar Point coaster countdown closest to mine. My top 10 coasters there are 1: Steel Vengeance; 2: M.F.; 3: Gatekeeper; 4: T.T.D.; 5: Raptor; 6: Maverick; 7: Max XL-200; 8: Rougarou; 9: Valravn; 10 Gemini all in the back car except TTD, Maverick and Valravn. Thanks for posting!
@@CanobieCoaster I know. It's a long and also tall and fast enough. Even though it has vest restraints, my favourite type of airtime is the sustained type one feel inside that the restraints cannot change.
while I would switch Maverick and Mille that's a nitpick, good list for sure, I must say maverick was hauling when I rode it in 2021, one of the most intense rides I have had on it however the launches seemed more gradual to me than in past years, although that may be due to me riding a plethora of more powerful launches in 2020.
@@CanobieCoaster understandable, I have never gotten a front row ride on mille so that may be why, midtrain on all three of my rides due to strict row assignments
Corkscrew at cedar point was not in your video of top 25 worst roller coasters in the world (2020), why? How do you compare that with the coasters on that video?
Just went to Cedar Point for the first time and what a treat. Was particularly impressed by Millennium Force, Maverick and of course Steel Vengeance. (Also Valravyn was my favorite B&M) Magnum was a huge disappointment though. Extremely jerky and painful. I keep on seeing it ranked so high but everyone who got off it seemed to hate it. I rode it several times trying to give it second chances but it was terrible. Thought I’d turn from a baritone to a soprano
The blue streak is responsible for my life long dread of coasters..swore I started to fly out and my dad reached up and pulled me back down into the seat..never got on another
I actually went on iron dragon to kill some time went I went last week and they actually sped up most of the layout. I don't know how they did it but they did.
Good to see Magnum and Millie continuing to get the respect they deserve. I honestly put Magnum over Maverick justttt slightly, but a back row night ride on Millennium solidified my childhood adoration for my easy number 2 in the park. Forceless it is not! It really warmed up throughout the day, which surprised me.
Millennium force is great. Especially at night in the back. You are right there is force in it but the layout after the first tunnel just kind of dies and is kind of a boring layout. Magnum tries to kill you and also has an amazing night ride. That is why Magnum is my 2nd favorite in the park and Mille is my 5th
CCMR is extremely short and does literally nothing. It’s a kiddie coaster and Woodstock Express looks better. (I say looks because this was the only CP credit I do not have because it was closed on my visit).
Canobie Coaster would say: The straight first drop offers a little floater airtime, the vertical loop offers decent positive Gs, the dive loop is fluid, and the inclined loop is super forceful and intense, and I imagine it would have been...
I can’t wait to hopefully visit Cedar point this year and in 2024 I haven’t been since Valravn opened excited to get the new top thrill dragster credit as well as steel vengeance and the wild mouse
CP is my homepark and i love coming there and riding the coasters love magnums airtime and milli's intesity on that overbank and steelveageance is the best roller caoster in the world
Yay, another Millennium Force supporter :) I'd take the Intamin Gigas over the B&M Gigas, simply because the Intamin model has 2-across trains which feel much faster than the wider 4-across B&M model. I really hope that Cedar Point fix their relationship and work with Intamin again sometime!
I really like the power tower i personally think if you are scared of really big rides the power tower isn’t that scary tbh so it’s a really good start!
I didn’t know CP had a water coaster. We were going to visit CP shores but I changed my mind at the last second even though we planned to on our last day there.
@@CanobieCoaster It's been my understanding that Cedar Point doesn't offer a free shuttle service from their hotels that are off the peninsula. Did they offer that to you since they relocated you?
It might be a hot take but i have millie #6 as far as coasters. I really don't get the hype for it all. Besides the first over bank it didn't really pull any forces for me and had a bit of a rattle, which at that speed is not a good combo. Overall just a pretty mediocre ride in my eyes.
Ive got 2 rides one in row 4 and the other was row 2 (mom and brother were in row 1.) Maybe the back would ride better for me, but i don't have any plans to get back to cp anytime soon.
blacked out for the first time ever on a midnight ride on millie, the conbination of the high forces and me just being tired caused me to love a sensation i was always scared of
@@CanobieCoaster ikr! especially in the back. people are always like “millennium forceless” but i think some study once showed on a hot day or something it pulled like 4.5 g’s, you just dont have much time to feel it because of how it just hauls but it can be a total gray out
