The Super Nintendo or SNES as some call it, is the successor to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It's probably what a lot of people think about when the term "16-Bits" is brought up along side of course, the Sega Genesis. Those two systems waged war in the early to mid 90's. Long before Sonic and Mario were buddy's, they were console enemies! At least that was what the commercials at the time had us believing.
The SNES though was more laid back in its approach. Since the NES was still dominating the console market share worldwide, Nintendo decided to take a little extra time to release its own 16-Bit system. And when it did release, it really took the world by storm with its launch/pack-in game Super Mario World!
I remember seeing pictures of it in game magazines. I was amazed at the graphics. I wanted one bad! Once I knew about the Super Nintendo, I put wanting a Genesis to the side. I eventually got a Genesis. But that was a bit after already having the SNES and a few games. Heck, I still remember the day I got it and opened the box. Great memories!

I like how balanced this list is. A little bit of everything and a good taste of the best of the best. The SNES has so many great games that it's hard to just narrow down a few. But you did a good job.

@@fidelsolis6070 was the presentation bad? Keep in mind that the video was strictly RPG's and unknown games. All the games you mentioned are well established franchises. And only Mario would be included with Super Mario RPG which I'm sure they put in that video. If you look at it from that standpoint then maybe the video isn't so bad. I plan to do videos like that and other types on this channel as well.

Chrono Trigger is the GOAT!!! Super awesome game. Bought it back in 1995. It was $79.99 back then. If you never played it, highly recommended!!!

Chrono Trigger is indeed the GOAT on the Super NES! I definitely remember paying that price back in '95. And it was worth every penny! The multiple endings alone gave it significant replay value, that spans til this very day. The graphics too! Thanks for watching! On my personal list I would add Zombies Ate my Neighbors, Super EDF, and Tetris Attack. Replacing Star Fox, Super Ghouls N Ghosts, and Yoshi's Island.

Great list. Really hard to argue with anything here. Personally, I think SMW is above Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and that would go in my #3 slot behind ALTTP and CT but its all personal preference there. Here's a dark horse that's more for a favorites list than a top 25 - Ever play The 7th Saga? Definitely an underrated SNES game! Kudos on a great list.

It’s a slog for sure. A lot of grinding up levels to get anywhere. There was a mistake made with level up mechanics between localizations, so the North American version is much more challenging. Still, it’s a rewarding story for sure.

EA NHL '94 has had competitive online leagues going non stop since 2004. There was a national championship held in Toronto last year. EA put EA NHL '94 in its 2019 game for its 25th anniversary.

Super Aleste is such an incredible game also. But Panel De Pon or Tetris Attack is my absolute favorite SNES game. IMO that’s the best puzzle game ever made, and I’ve played quite a few.

Between my research and personal experiences, CT kept Samus and Mother Brain at bay in 3rd. And edged out ALTTP for that top spot as the greatest SNES game of all time. And while I didn't squeeze multiple games at #1 on this video, I'm not opposed to it. In fact, it's happened in another video on here. Thanks again! I'm working on more content.

I'm glad we had the same choice as number 1. As for the rest of the list, the only games that wouldn't make my top 25 are Starfox and Super Ghouls n' Ghosts. I much more enjoyed Final Fantasy IV and Legend of the Mystical Ninja than either of those.

I know that no list will appeal to everyone, but very few people would argue that DKC1 is a better game than DKC2. (btw, as much as I disagree with your list, I do appreciate your positive attitude)

However, and as much as I grappled over which one to put on the list, or if I should put both on, I ultimately decided on DKC. I knew there'd be some backlash at some point over it. And I would welcome it if there was any. But that's the beauty of these lists. And everyone can have an opinion. That's not to say that DKC 2 or 3 wouldn't make a future list on here for other reasons. I'm in no way discounting their high qualities respectively. With that said, thanks again for watching the video. Maybe consider checking out some of the other ones on here. As I will be uploading the next video in this series hopefully by tomorrow or Sunday.
