Top 25 Weapons In Elden Ring- Best Weapons Patch 1.09 2023 

My favourite weapon still has to be the Axe of Godfrey. It's not a very good weapon objectively, but there's nothing quite like the feeling of slamming that big axe down to the earth, launching 4 players to the sky simultaneously in the colosseum.

Blasphemous Blade is insane, it turns game into easy mode. 60-99 vigor + morgott rune = 400+ hp regen for each enemy hit with AOW, with hyper armor poise, that only giant enemies can break. Pair it with Ritual Shield Talisman (+30% negation to everything) and Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman (+20% phys negation)... and you can trade hits with bosses... healing more HP than they can deal. It deals same damage as *fully buffed* Giants Flame Take Thee, like 4000-9000 damage (much more if you use Oil Pot for +50% fire dmg). It stunlocks Malenia, it can heal 100% HP with single AOW... And its passive is another 4% hp regen for each enemy killed. Slap ritual axe on other hand and Carian Talisman, and suddenly you can spam this AOW infinitely. Outhealing late game bosses with single AOW is just crazy. And being able to use Ritual Shield all the time (because you will always be 100% HP) changes endgame bosses to deal 10-20% HP instead of oneshotting you. Maybe with the exception of Maliketh. And it needing only Faith & 14 strength make it so easy to use, very early and easy access too.

After the last patch, the Executioner's Greataxe is honestly one of the best weapons in the game. It's PVP viable and certain swings rollcatch, and simultaneously, for PvE it's really good at poisebreaking enemies, at which point it has extra crit damage, and then you can just charge a heavy attack as they're getting up to keep this cycle going. Another worth mentioning is Reduvia. I've extensively tested bleed weapons and while it might not seem like it at first glance, Reduvia can compete with Mohg's Spear on DPS vs. bosses. It will vary and swing in favor of each depending on the exact boss and their HP value/attack styles, but as a general rule with them being roughly similar, this checks out. Both are extremely good and you basically end up trading better dodge potential and control (Reduvia) vs. better burst damage and AOE damage (Mohg), but the fact Reduvia can compete with what seems to be the most obscene DPS in the game speaks volumes about how much it's slept on in that regard. It simply procs bleed faster than anything else in the game, so by the time you've finally created a window for a safe Mohg AoW (which absolutely needs the 3rd wave, as that does the most damage by far), Reduvia has already bled the enemy multiple times. Also worth mentioning Reduvia deals physical damage *whilst* bleeding enemies, so while Mohg's spear feels the pain at enemies like Radagon, Reduvia can keep going. Would welcome people to test and compare these two themselves on enemies such as the Fire Giant, and I think they'll be pleasantly surprised at how comparable they are.

I'd love to see a version of this list with only the infusible weapons. Some of us just really like to customize everything

I absolutely love the beast man curved swords. The unique jump r2 looks so sick and it procs frostbite super quick.

Actually a great tier list.... Although The GodSlayer Greatsword is definitely a dex sword not a faith based sword... Your faith would be lucky to breach 30 if you are using it optimally and that is just to pick up black flame's protection. It scales so much better with dex...

I'm in love with Loretta war sickle since they showed it in the trailers way before launch. They even buffed elemental scaling and it still got no love. And yeah, I know Guardian sword spear, but I love the look as well :3

Dual Bleed Godskin Peelers with sepukku. The strong attacks being pierce is such huge advantage over a standard slash weapon. Also they can be customized and with bleed do double the bleed build up than the rivers of blood. (its so much more fun that spamming the rivers of blood ash of war , the godskins are more versatile and in my opinion more powerful) The dual wield combos look sweet, are super fast and work perfectly with the talismans and tear that increase damage per hit AND the jumping attack does 2 hits on the way up and 2 on the way down, all stacking bleed. I know that got nerfed recently but it still stacks bleed insanely fast. Pair that with the white mask, Millicent's Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia and Lord of Bloods exultation plus the flask that increases damage per hit and even with the bleed infusion (with reduces overall damage output) I'm still getting over 1000 damage and thats not including using buffs like golden vow, ritual sword talisman or all the other buffs that can be stacked. I loaded up my newgame plus 3 with this build that I hadn't played in a while and I still was able to walk right through all the bosses, even late game.

My favourites are the Claymore, Zweihander and Treespear. Claymore and Zweihander are fairly self evident. Poking heavies, very customisable, fashion. Treespear is also just sick. Looks great, it's heavy double poke does insane damage, can be buffed, it's Ash can also buff your spell damage. Just a solid weapon. All 3 are peak fashion though, which is of course the most important

Ive been loving scythes recently because they have a really cool moveset and can pass through shield and do bleed. Even if they arent the most optimal weapons. I wonder where the winged and halo scythes land on your list?

My favorite weapon at the moment has to be the beasman's cleaver (the curved greatsword one, not the curved sword). On a pure strength build with fire infusion the damage is just insane and I admittedly like the style a lot which probably makes me a bit biased.

How do you rank the Executioner's Greataxe after the recent buff? Currently using it on NG+ and focusing on crits with Lion's Claw/Wild Strikes as the ash of war makes for some big numbers. Bosses can't really keep up with the stagger potential, I guess you value the anchor more for the pierce damage? Amazing video btw, haven't played a lot of different builds but I'm still very interested in how you motivate your picks, you always provide solid arguments

It feels good to see both my favorite weapons in the top 10 (deaths poker and blasphemous blade). Love the list!

My favorite weapon is the Claymore for a number of reasons. Solid moveset, good damage, poke attack R2, you get it early, and it comes with Lions Claw, wich you only get later on a first playthrough. Honorable mentions for me are Banished Knights greatsword (great damage and cool moveset and appearance), Dragonlord's Cragblade (awesome skill and looks amazing) and the good old Zweihander (the poke R2 of colossal swords)

I never see the Sacred Relic Sword on lists but its skill seems insanely strong and I used BB almost exclusively before getting it. I had to not use it because the game was getting too easy. Same could be said for BB. However, the weapon that won more battles for me was the Winged Scyth with Angel's Wings because of all the i-frames it provides. I would've gone crazy fighting those damn Death Rite Birds. I mean, I am crazy but I would've gone crazy too.

Nice list man, what would you say the rankings would be for Morgott's cursed sword and Sword of Mlios? i'd argue the former is better than the Magma wyrm's IMO, i know Sword of Milos is nowhere near meta but still one of my favorites and i hope it gets a buff soon.

The cross naginata has the light combo on off-hand, one-handed. It's so epic as soon as I got it and realised that it's been in my equip for multiple playthroughs

I love wings of astel. If you struggle with large bosses or duo bosses, it is fantastic.

I have a Str/Fth build I was using Malikeths Black blade but switched to staff of the avatar as of late. Love the scaling & the Ash of war "Erdtree slam". Especially with my lionel armor it just fits!! Currently on New game +3.

My favorite is the Grafted Blade Great Sword. I have it fully upgraded and when two handed the thing is a beast. I use a strength build so this sword has been awesome. Love to see where it ranks. Thank you.

Mohgwyns spear is the champ to me. After it turned Malenia into a free kill, and also melted all the other bosses, I see it as a cheat code.

I know this is an older video. But do you have a link to the entire list you compiled? I'm curious as to where you placed most weapons.

Would be interested in seeming a pvp list. Gives a lot of underrated weapons time to shine where damage isn't the only priority. For example, where's Shamshir on the pve list? Where do you think it would be on the pvp list? Also, where's Rosus' Axe and Warped Axe? I love these axes so much after a recent Str/int run.

I have been using the Commanders standard lately and enjoying it. don't know if it's Top 50, but I do think it's underrated in general. Godskin Stitcher also is up there.

The great spear, Siluria's Tree is great, in damage and specialy the ash of war, is my second favorite after Great stars

Dark Moon Greatsword gets even better when paired with the Jellyfish Shield, due to being one of the only weapons that can use its unique R2 while while still buffed by the shield, and you get yourself decent protection with a counter attack.

My favourite weapon is bloody helice because of how satisfying it’s ash of war and moveset (running heavy) makes the malenia fight

And I just started using the darkmoon greatsword. Godfrey icon, magic scorpion charm and 71 intelligence. Still need shard of alexander. The damage is lovely indeed.

I went with the reduvia for my weapon of choice on my first play through, because it was super easy to pick up, did insane bleed, and I could cater that build to other weapons later. Honestly it's not my favorite weapon as it kind of bores me but I have to admit it's honestly a beast for most of my first playthrough. Where did it land on the 250 weapon list?

Favorite weapon is easily the poise breaker it's self the dragon king's cragblade... still decent in pvp but really strong against effectively anything in pve. Great move set, good ash of war, master the tracking and it is an incredibly easy way to cheese the game. (down side is how late you get it in the game :/)

I would of thought moonveil would be higher. I haven’t used it since like my 3rd playthrough but the fact you can get it super early on makes it even better. Not to mention i struggled to beat maliketh for so long and I destroyed him with it. So easy because of the range attack… dark moon greatsword and blasphemous blade definitely the best but bolt of gransax is a close 3rd. I used to hate on that weapon but doing a run now and it absolutely melts bosses. God damn Barrett 50 cal sniper lol.

For the great stars was this bloodflame blade buff? Do i need to level up arcane for that buff to be strong or only upgrade the seal(and the stat it scales)

I only have 2 gripes wing of astel should be much higher, and the dragon cragblade should be on the list and in top 10. But great work got this out pretty quick.

I dont have Elden Ring at the moment, but I'm planning in the future buying the game, and I wanted to make a blood mage build with the Rivers of Blood, is it still a good weapon for PvE?

Blasphemous blade is undeniably the best, considering how you not only raise your defense to holy attacks but also increase the damage of fire attacks by choosing this weapon. It is unfortunate that it is the best weapon for end game but it is the truth.

My favorite is the Halo Scythe. The double stance jump attack takes insane chunks out of boss health bars. And the ash of war is insane as well.

Blasphemous blade is #1 imo, the health regeneration is just absolutely crazy and is more invaluable than the frost debuff. You can buff your attack more so with flame grant me strength and golden vow in addition to more quality of life miracles that I find overall provide a better build but that is just what I think

My favorote weapon is still Moonveil, I found it in my first playthrough without knowing how good it was and loved it

where did you rate the uchigatana? i heard it deals a little bit more damage tha nagakiba but really i just prefer uchi for fashion (nagakiba's sheath clipping to the floor when im walking really bugs me for some reason)

Very surprised Clayman's Harpoon isn't on this list. Native int scaling on a weapon you can infuse means you are doing around as much damage as Giant Crusher after using Scholar's Armament ON A SPEAR. Add an additional spear in the left hand with msgic/cold infusion for amazing results. Awsome at pvp, and with ice spear it's pretty much easy mode for pve.

You mention Fallingstar Beast Jaw in your comments about the Death Ritual Spear, that is actually a fantastic weapon itself - colossal sword, does 100% pierce damage and has one of the best, cheapest, fastest AoW in the game. Where did that land?

I just love the design of the Sword of Milos, literally having a spine as a blade is so metal. I doubt its particularly high up, but I am wondering where you put it, I would love to know the number placement and/or a letter ranking from like D to S.

My favorite weapon is the golden order greatsword because I love it's design and I love that for it's aow is just you exploding then sending a wave of holy damage

Wing of Estelle and Sword of Night and Flame are my favorite swords. Oman killer axe is awesome. Really really like Ant Spur rapier. Serpent hunter is also amazing although not my favorite.. Serpent hunter makes it feel cheap.

Whats the mog spear build shown?

Number 1 weapon for me is Uchi. Started samurai first play through with Frist on it. Love it. Second favorite is Golden Halberd. First boss killed me a ton. Favorite great sword. Bloodhound. It for me.

Just finished a run yesterday with Iron Balls and Star Fists. Never thought it would be so fun. I bullied every boss.

I been useing the Regalia and i love it with a shield with no skill, or alone it works great. It attacks fast, with good damage and great ash of war. I think its super underrated because of the bigger version only. It has its place as th3 moves on a straight sword are awesome and can be just as good. Because of the difference in weight and speeds it has its pros for sure.

Im very surprised that the black blade didnt make it, its one of a few weapons that keep its use through ng all the way to ng+7

Happy to see my boy bloodhound's fang getting the respect it deserved, i completed my whole walkthrough with this one, only got stuck at elden beast. So i changed my built to faith to use blasphemous blade & 2shot radagon & enter elden beast fight with full health & flask

I have made a build of using deaths poker moonveil and dark moon greatsword and a bunch if spells and its a lot of fun all the weopons in the build has its own use and its alot of fun if u dont just spam ashes of war

When it comes to end game and I’m facing god skins malakeith etc I always use the blood trident with the talisman just to speed run to the beast where I use the black blade to kill it

The river of blood is still the best weapon in Elden ring, hands down. The weapon was nerf only for PVP.

After it got buffed Ordovis’s greatsword is super strong. I pretty much melted the Draconic Tree Sentinel in Farum Azula with absolute ease. The ash of war hits like a truck and has insane hyperarmor, I don’t think i’ve ever been knocked out of it. Despite the fact it’s a faith based weapon it is still super strong even against resistant enemies because it appears to mainly deal physical damage and it can proc the successive attack buffs and pairs well with godfrey’s icon

I remember I had the blasphemous blade equipped and I was running in the part of faram azula with the birds and the dragon with crazy low health but the dragon killed the birds that were chasing me and I fully regened 💀

Where does Morgott's Cursed Sword land on this list? I've got a fun faith/arcane hybrid caster build that mixes the Frenzied Flame and Dragon Communion incantations and so far Morgott's sword has been serving me really well!

Congratulations on reaching 25k subs. Please tell me the position of hand of Malenia ,seluria’s tree and golden halbert since they are some of my favourite weapons.

I personally dual wield bloodhound's fang with Margot's curved sword (not sure about the names 😅) paired with jumping attacks they stack bleed very quickly too Great combo if u never tried

I have done playthroughs with almost all the top 10 weapons and i would have Great Sword way higher, it was by far the second easiest after Blaspehmous Blade. Bunch of the ashes you really can't get off against many enemies and bosses because they are in your face so fast (for example Bolt of Gransax is absolutely terrible in clearing out dungeons, i had to switch to any other weapon in them cause i was so annoyed with it) so hyperamour is key most often and nothing has more than Great Sword with Lion's Claw, you just never ever get knocked out of that and you seem to take less damage anyway while you are in the air doing it. Dark Moon Great Sword was also tricky to use against many bosses and i was annoyed how often the ash would just miss for various reasons. Also go against a Crucible Knight, especially the evergaol one, none of them give you any problems with Great Sword and Lion's Claw, try using Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear or bunch of the others and you are toast. Not to even mention that because you can infuse and buff it you can match any enemies weakness if you want to make them even easier, case can be made for it to be No1 weapon in the game.
