Dang, I always tied the crankbait on the split ring opposite of where I was supposed to. Always thought there was danger in the thinnest part of getting damaged. You explain things so much better than any other pro.

If every fisherman owned a boat, 98% of these videos would be beneficial. I feel like a lot of people who put these videos out are genuinely trying to help people out, but a majority lose sight of the reality that not everyone owns a boat. The people who seem to be the most forgotten about are people can only Bank Fish. When you fish from a bank you're limited as to where you can fish and sometimes the scene just doesn't change because you don't have many areas you can fish from. So you do the best with what you have.

Great tip on tying onto the slit ring. I have always done the opposite thinking that if I tied in the narrow portion the line could get pulled into the split therefor pinching or cutting into the line. Never thought about the perspective you gave. Thanks a lot. Love all the details. Great channel.

Thanks for confirming and reinforcing a lot of my thoughts and style of fishing especially when it comes to crankbaiting and jig fishing deeper water i’m a firm believer you’re never too old to learn and when I do learn I love to pass it on and tell me fishing buddies to at least give it a try instead of being a stick in the mud it usually only takes one or two trips for them to see me doing well and lo and behold next week they’re armed with new gear and tackle I always get a good chuckle thank you Edwin
