Beautiful aircraft with a wonderful history. The quality and finish of Beechcraft are legendary. I have flown the Duchess, Baron, Queenair and Kingair early in my career. The build quality and solid handling surpassed the other manufacturers easily.

I’m an old Beech employee and worked in the Twin Turboprop R&D section. I’m disappointed that you didn’t include the Beechcraft King Air G90 which we upgraded back in 1979 from the F90 by revising the tail to a T type, and the turboprop engines from the old Pratt and Whitney’s to Garrett AirResearch turboprops. I also designed Beech’s first thermo vacuum formed part which was a multiple tube support that ran along the main airfoil leading edge behind the de icing bladders.I loved that airplane but never found one flying after I left the Central Avenue Wichita main plant. I did the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis on the Garret analog fuel computer and designed the installation of the prop synchrophasor.

I'm curious, why switch out the Pratts for Garrett? I have only experience with the Pratt powered Super King Airs. Always hated how loud the Garret powered aircraft were ( and still are ).

You got to do some cool stuff! I LOVE flying Beechcraft's above all others, the doors have a solid feel when you get it. Beechcraft just "got it right" everytime!

Beechcraft are legendary! The RAF used them for navigational training in the UK (where I live) for quite a while. Cheaper to own & run than the HS125s (which they flew as Dominie MK1s) I believe. Safe skies young lady... TJ the DJ

I love the King Air it's a very competent aircraft, yet I lament the loss of the UK's aviation industry. Try and get hold of a copy of the BFI film of Farnborough 1966, it's about 15-20 minutes long, to see what I mean.

I flew a '75 E55 Baron with long range tanks for 27 years. And on a rare ocassion, a G58. The Baron spoiled the hell out of me to the point that when I felt I was no longer current and qualified to continue flying it safely, I walked away and retired from flying.

Making the decision to retire from flying when you felt it was the right time for safety reasons shows a commendable commitment to responsible aviation. Do you have any particularly memorable flights or destinations from your 27 years of flying the Baron?

@@AviationFederation Thanks for your comment! Those I admired most in the aviation world were the ones that knew when to step back. Memorable trips from my Alabama base included OSH 3x, Hartford CT and being routed 50 miles out over the Atlantic to avoid the congested New York airspace, Burlington VT in the early Fall, and all those blue sky, low stress days. Thanks for asking!

This was a very, very good video from the available stock materials and it is appreciated when actual dollar amounts are given for the products displayed. By the way the operational costs of the 350I is about $1000 an hour in direct operating expenses.

Only the C-90 GTX was discontinued. The King Air 260, King Air 360, and the King Air 360ER are still being produced.

Great content. Just subscribed! Just a few suggestions. Maybe add used planes to your lists as well or make those types different video. Another video suggestion could be once a week or so you pick a specific plane model that may or may not be produced anymore and give a report on it (Cessna Conquest II, Piper Chieftain, TBM 700). A lot of people buy used planes since they’re so much cheaper so I think maybe you’d bring in a wider audience.

Great video and joy to watch. Keep on going. The Beech Baron G58 should have a pressurized cabin. Without is kind of nuts. For over 1,5 Million bugs. Besides that great airplane. Love it.

The 58P(pressurized) preceded the G58, but was an incredibly expensive aircraft to operate and maintain. Its operating costs were very comparable to the Duke.
