I really needed to hear the marathon, not a sprint tip. I've been in business for 4 years and still need to work another full time job. And it definitely makes you feel like a failure! But, it makes sense. It's just going to take time! This was super helpful :)

Such good points. In my 20's (I'm now 42) I hit the peak of the photography industry, it was a battle to get there. I took my foot off the gas and some younger and hungrier took my spot. Now that I'm a bit older and wiser and have taken up video - the long game is key. Learning is key. Adapting is key. I've got another 20-25 year to retirement, I can't even imagine what will be "filming" on by then.
