Thanks for the tips! How I've been working my business is, I post a menú on Monday for pre-order, that will be ready for pickup on Wednesday. This way I can use from Thursday to Saturday to prepare for event cakes, that are usually held on the weekends. Gives me Doble income and the smaller pre-order items get people motivated to taste my stuff and are more likely to order from me when they need cakes and pastries for parties and events, cuz I've already got them hooked on my treats 💖
Vc you have any spear time and I am a little while and informative the reference to the reference cause the administrator of Good Happy birthday to you have any questions or concerns please visit the
Thanks for the confirmation, God had already instilled some of the ideas you mentioned, so I appreciate your willingness to help others succeed. God bless you.😊
Your product and packaging are so good. I also appreciate how supportive you are to other bakers. Plus, your emotional support person. A newer fan in 🇨🇦
I'm in San Francisco and I've worked at maybe nineteen different gas stations, and I'M SICK OF IT! I want to sell cookies at the markets and GET OUT OF HERE! I have plans for cookie design, but need to learn how all of this stuff works.
Thank you sooo much! I just started last holiday season for Cocoa Bombs and Cake Pops. I have already repeat customers. God bless you and your business!
I have done the local farmer's market for two seasons now. Still trying to get my business off the ground. Thinking about trying some pop ups too. Thanks for the business tips!
This was such great motivation! I have been thinking about getting my cottage bakers license and this is definitely making me lean towards yes! Thank you for being so awesome!
Thanks so much for the ideas! I'm a new cookier and the idea of pop ups and selling specific sets instead of customized sets is really helpful. Cuts down on the amount of money spent on cookie cutters that you may or may not use often, tools, etc.
And you'll make more money while also making less cookies! I offer presales and I'm clearing close to $100/dozen because most people will pay $5-7 per cookie vs. spending $50 dozen on special occasion cookies. Just wanted to drop that gem in here for you!
@@TheStationBakery I have a class series I just started all around the Philly, Jersey, and Delaware where it’s a ticketed event to learn one skill and you take home a toolbox of what the skill is, finished piece and lunch or dinner
I listen to you while baking, keeps me company! 😍 I'm a seasoned cookier, trying to wrap my head around your concept. Great idea. I offer preordering for major holidays. However, I think it would also work great for those just starting out to build an audience. I do a mixture of corporate and private custom orders which brings in a lot of $. Me scaling back to specific sets probably wouldn't work for my brand.
VERY informative! You gave some excellent ideas for increasing revenue. I love to teach so I think that's an avenue I am going to take. I've already planned to not take custom orders for my decorated sugar cookies and will offer sets of 4 designs per dozen. Cake pops will be offered the same way. As far as cakes go, I think that I will create a bunch of dummy cakes for customers to choose from for their celebration. Thanks for planting several seeds.
How much do you usually make per weekend? I am retired... but find myself having to go back to work because my Social Security isn't enough to live on... I'm almost 69 years old. Even though I'm an Acting Teacher... I want to re open my Acting Studio and to do that I have to also re open my little food truck... but I really want to do Desserts... (A LOT OF WORK to just make a living) LOL I was told to have a home bakery and have POP UPs... I just don't know how much money I can make on my Cup Cakes etc... I don't even know how to charge... or how much to charge anymore since price of food has gone up so much. Thank you for your help.
Thank for sharing your knowledge because this is really good information. I’ve been searching for ways like this to make money and this is exactly what I need!
Hello, I just wanna thank u for taking the time and giving us game. Your suggestions and strategies help me so much in so many ways thank you again have a bless one🤗
Hi thank you so much for taking the time to educate us new bakers. It’s so helpful. Some markets require proper labeling of baked goods. Could you tell me what resources you use to make these?
I've been following you a while and love your enthusiasm!! I'm a cookier, but somewhat burned out of it after 12 years. I'd love to go into another direction with it. Like you said. Recipes. Maybe technique to sale. But thinking maybe a pop up once or twice a month with specific designs. I'm retired and want little extra income but not too busy to enjoy like❤ thanks for sharing!!
Hi Tammy! I’m happy to learn more about you but sorry you burned out! Yes, we have to pivot someone to make the things we want to do work for us. Try out some new tube to see what you like without over doing it. I hope you see the success you desire in the way you want! ❤️
first of all, thank you!! these are some amazing tips.. and i really like the last idea, i've been thinking it but was reluctant to do it as clients mostly order custom cakes. However, i also noticed that there's a category of client who just wants a cake and give you the liberty to decorate as you like, i would love to target these customers as custom orders make you go crazyyy most of the time🤯 after watching this i'm sure of doing it now so thanks again 😊
Thank you so much for this. I am trying to get my home bakery off the ground yet. I mainly sell bread, cookies and fresh eggs at our local farm market. I am hoping to get into a second farm market next year. My number one seller is Honey White Bread.
@@TheStationBakery No I do it from home when orders are asked for but since covid I just gave up, that was my backup. I do have a regular job but baking is what makes me happy.
Thank u so much for this! I have been trying to find a way for yrs to have that “store front” concept but from home. I love the pre order idea. I jus moved to a new state. Hopefully this can help me build clientele here.
Omgoodness girly!!! I been thinking about some of those ideas. I’m working on recipes now. Ppl always asking about can I get that recipe. Lol. Thank you so much! 😍
Yes! Reach out to some local businesses in your area or the area that you wish to serve. If your community has events, check in with them. Find another small business and partner with them. You can even host your own at your home, a friends home etc. Just be sure to check restrictions for the neighborhoods.
I used to do them. Lately it seems like anything I try to promote on my FB biz page doesn't get seen. It's like if O don't pay to advertise the event? They don't let people see it.
Your content is fantastic.... YOU are very smart and very sweet to share this video. As an Acting Instructor/Teacher for Film and Stage.. the only thing that bothers me on this video is that you move your arms so much... very distracting. But this is your video and you can do whatever you want... It's my problem if you moving your hands and arms too much bothers me... Keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing this video.
It's easy to just click off the video and not watch instead of posting this negative comment under her video. Did it make you feel wonderful to tell her that moving her arms in the video bothers you? Get a life!
Thank you for the information! You are amazing & I really appreciate you! Btw for the pop up or markets do you have any suggestions for how much of each item to bake for these?
Aww thank you! I’m glad I can help! As far as how much of each item to make, there are a couple of things you can do. You can contact the organizer to see how much traffic they expect or usually get. If it’s a market, you can visit one weekend to get a feel of what the traffic is like. Then consider that most people will want individual items or small packs. What are your best sellers? Bring more of those and then adjust after you start selling. There’s more but I can only type so much 🥲
It’s a tricky question that I would love to ask you does it depend on who selling the product because I used to work at the hotel and I realize when we would go to farmers market with my coworkers I would always see one booth empty and another booth selling like crazy But I don’t know how to ask this question does it depend on the person that they’ll go and buy from you because this man’s product I saw everything nice everything was high-level, but I realized they didn’t go to him because of one thing and it upset me so I went over to him to buy something but I didn’t say anything by question why you weren’tbut his product was you know where I’m going
A pop up is a like a retail shop that is temporary - for example, a store that takes a retail space (like a Mall storefront) but only for a month or so
A pop up here in Texas, can also be at like a town circle weekend event. I'm not sure if they have that where you live, but we have them regularly here. People can go and setup at these events and just sell things. I hope this helps. I think you would Google: community events near me, or community market. Something to that effect.
