Hey Meimei!! So awesome you're going to the Top 3 Ramen shops in SF! The first stop... can't believe there was such a huge lineup in the morning on the weekend. They didn't skimp with the noodles either, and what a gorgeous looking broth. Hinodeya... cool they use a Dashi broth. Great to her your descriptions of the ramen. OMG! The lineup at Mensho was crazy.. and can't believe there is only 28 seats!! $17 seems expensive. We love how all 3 Ramens looked so different. Love that it was chicken based broth! Awesome review and thanks for taking us with you!!! Have you ever seen the Documentary Ramen Heads?? It's amazing!!! Great video and lots of love to you!

Greetings from Vegas, Ramen is awesome in SF, i'm originally from the bay area. Some places are really quick with service and this factors into the desirablility. holy cow $39 at Mensho , ha ha you can only do so much with ramen soup! Awesome job on this comparison vid. i subbed #1583 thanks for the support too.

I like the lighter version of ramen with soy or miso and seafood base while Peter likes the tonkotsu base haha. Great that you have a few options in SF. We love the noodle type from first place, we feel that curly noodle isn’t really a ramen ahhaha always reminds us as instant noodle 😆

Just walked by Hinodeya this past weekend and jumped in line right before opening time. The house ramen was great, as you mentioned light compared to the heavy usual tonkatsu. The creamy veggie ramen wasn't as good, though.

The first place she went to used to be a different shop called sapporo-ya ramen and they made Sapporo style ramen and to this day is still the best ramen I've ever had. And they hand made the noodles every day

🙌 an added egg brings so much joy haha think I prefer the egg when it’s been seasoned (ajitama/nitamago) and looks a bit brown. Thin noodles all the way with a kaedama if we’re extra hungry 😋

I used to take the bus by Mensho Toyko everyday (pre-covid) and I have always wanted to go there! There is always a line. One of these days.... Great video. Thanks!

Marakufu is one of my top ramen places in SF! Have you tried Taishoken in San Mateo? It would be cool to see a video on what you think of the ramen spots in San Mateo like Ramen Dojo and Taishoken

I was able to try out Marufuku last year! I really liked it 😋 I cant decide thin or thick noodles! Lol depends I guess but maybe thin just a bit more 🤣

Ooo the chashu at Hinodeya looks yum - love the fat especially if it melts in your mouth 😍 some of the places in Japan (eg. Afuri) blowtorch their chashu giving it a slightly charred flavour which makes it even tastier 🤤

Did we say noodles??? Oh yessss!! The broth in the first place look really nice. There’s a restaurant in NY where you can actually customized your noodles I thought that was a brilliant idea. Yaaasss the boil egg is the best!

Agree with you. Eggs should come included. Also prefer shops that specialize in a few items. Firm noodles is the way to go for sure. Japantown looks awesome by the way.

There are many good spots in LA but they’re all very different. I don’t mind the thicker noodle but I do feel like thinner noodle’s more traditional. But I’m not Japanese so I don’t know 🤷‍♂️

All that ramen looks great. I (daniel) love a nice creamy bone broth. Really like the look of Marufuku ramen here. Since when did ramesh get so expensive. Here in NYC too. I think In japan u can still get a really nice bowl for 800 or 900 yen. $ 8.50. We still love ramen though! Nice work here🍜🍜😁

Líeles prefers them thick and I prefer them thin ... I feel like they get more flavored. Wow menshu has only 28 seats? That reminds me of so many places I have done research on in Japan. They have limited seating and they have lines of hours to get ramen or sushi I think that concept is crazy but it works because it gets all of us going there! Yes you love your spice hahaha

I don't think we've tried ramen with dashi broth. Looks amazing though. That pork looks really nice. Wow... the line on that last place. $39?!!! Nah.. I'm right there with you. And that ramen looks legit! Would totally try the matcha ramen. Can't believe it doesn't come with egg. All of them did look very good.

so... Hinodeya... Whole wheat ramen noodles tbh don't sound very good to me. When I eat ramen, I want to be super bad for me but EXTREMELY GOOD tasting haha. Even the clear noodle... I am not sure how I feel about it haha. I am definitely curious! I love super runny eggs too.

Yes! (it was...very apparent lol from your video). Mensho ftw. I used to live in San Jose and Ramen places weren't as wide popular as now days. If I ever go back to visit, I would love to try a couple of these places. Great video!
