Guns are designed primarily as weapons of mass destruction, TO KILL PEOPLE. However much you try to normalize this, the fact remains that there is something SERIOUSLY WRONG with Americans if they think that gun ownership is normal. It isn't. Gun owners are, to a large extent, INSANE. Are you prepared to KILL Someone? If you're not, you have NO RIGHT to own a gun.

Anyone who would want to do harm to me or my family will face resistance. It is a God given right to protect one's self. Utilizing a firearm is not unlike using a bat, hammer, or even fists. A firearm is the great equalizer especially for women who have faced domestic violence. Anyone who has had to defend themselves would agree that ANY tool to assist them would be wanted. I assume that you are not from America and do know what it means to have to fight for your independence. I will also assume that you have freely handed over your ability to defend yourself with a firearm making you open for crime and/or government overreach. So, if you don't live in the U.S., kindly STFU. If you do live in the U.S., continue to lick the boots of your oppressors. And with that, you get the pin of shame!

I am standing in line behind your wife and kids at the checkout. I have a conceiled firearm, and they don't even know it. Now it isn't just going to jump out and shoot someone. But if a bad person with bad intensions pulls a firearm to do something bad, I will protect myself and my family. Therefore your wife and kids will be protected as well. So all I can say is, you're welcome.

I have one, took it to a class, and everyone laughed at my $200 Taurus. Needless to say, it ran great all day and I received a compliment on how fast I could fire it. Annnnnd last but not least, I got laughed at but never had a problem while 2 glocks and a sig had issues throughout the day. So, I gloated about how I had zero issues. I'm around 3k rounds through and not a single issue yet.

G2C Stands for Great 2 Carry. This is one AWESOME Firearm, Especially with the Lakeline Stainless Steel Guide Rod, Spring and Striker Guide. Everyone makes the price of this gun the main point however that is all that a Polymer Striker Fired Pistol should cost. A GLOCK cost $70 to manufacture and even with a 400% markup should only cost $280.00 MSRP not $500-$600 !!!!!! I think TAURUS is heading in the right direction-Keep up the good work..........

Taurus is a new company. The logo and all people in charge are new. Out went the Corp types and in came the gun guys. They bought and retooled the Beretta factory in Brazil. The CEO brought the bean counters in and asked how much an advertising campaign would cost to get people's attention and trust. It was a huge figure so they decided instead of advertising, they would drop the price of the PT1111 by about 200 dollars or more. Plan was to produce a good gun sold at $200 and word of mouth and social media would take over. I bought one and added a Lakeside spring and rod along with a Trijicon front sight in a package for about $75. This gun has never failed or jammed and is my night stand gun.

Taurus is not new. It's been around for 50 years. They now manufacture and distribute out of Miami for the majority of guns sold here in the US. They changed packaging and logos when they went from the pt111 to the G2C. Facts

@@thomasholt52 Correct, it has been around for a long time. The new I stated was the removal of the corporate heads and replacing them. The purchase of the plant in Brazil and logo change were part of the big overhaul. The pricing reflected the new way of thinking at Taurus.

The purchasing points for me were this: 1. Price. You simply can't find a better gun for $200. There are better guns for twice the price and a few guns for slightly less, but this gun is by far the best value. 2. Picatinny rail. Since I'm using this for home defense I figured having a light on the front of my gun was a must. Using light switches to check your home for an intruder would be a huge disadvantage, he would see you long before you see him. As would carrying a flashlight, you wouldn't be able to use your second hand for support, and you don't want to fumble with doorknobs with your hand full. 3. Magazine capacity. The double stacked magazine allows for a 12+1 capacity, pretty decent for a compact 9mm. 4. Size. The short barrel makes this gun great for concealed carry. better yet, there's a slim version that's even more concealable. 5. Weight. At 22 oz., it's not a chore to carry this thing all day everyday.

Do yourself a favor. Spend 39 bux and put the lakeline guide rod and spring in it. I bought my PT111 G2 last year on a whim. Hated Taurus but this little gun has changed my mind a bit. While reviewing prior to buying it the biggest problem people seemed to have was the polymer guide rod and spring it comes with would break. Mine never did but I didn't give it a chance to. I just spent the 39 bux and put the steel one in before I shot it. Over 1500 fail free rounds and still going strong. I have a bunch of guns of all brands and this little gun is my favorite cuz it's such an underdog. Liked it so much I bought my daughter the G2C. I normally carry a CZ p07 but every now and again I'll carry the G2. Totally trust mine !! Runs fine with Liberty Civil Defense ammo. Good luck with it :)

Thanks for the overview on yours! My concern is needing to upgrade anything with a pistol. It’s that whole “Glock Perfection” deal and the first thing Glock fan boys do is change the sights, trigger, put an RMR cut in for a red dot and swap out the barrel. Why? The pistol “should” be good to go from the beginning. Unfortunately, my next video will be talking about why issues I have with this pistol. But, I’m glad to hear that it has worked well for you and your daughter! Keep truckin’ my friend.

This little gem is my daily carry. It's solid, reliable and cost effective. If i have to use it, I'm not losing a $500 gun to police evidence for 6-9 months. I've got about 350 rounds through it and not a single hiccup thus far. Got mine from PSA as well, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The grip texture is nice and I love the second strike capability, not to mention the comfortable 12+1 capacity. For those more knowledgeable than I, is there an aftermarket for this gun?

If you love the G2c you will love the Armalaser TR23 laser sight. The TR 23 is made specificly for the PT111 grip frame and fits the G2c like a glove. In fact after it's installed you might think it was part of the frame if you didn't know better. Turning on the laser puts it in standby mode and the laser will automatically activate when you grip the gun in the firing position buy making the final connection through the skin of you middle finger under the trigger guard. I have consistently hit kill shots at targets up to and beyond 50 feet. The G2c is one of the best firearms Taurus has made since the PT99 Beretta clones from 30 years ago.

I love this gun, i have it , i love how light it is, and small, very easy in your hands and easy on you when you have it in your holster and carry it.. i use to Cary a Taurus PT29 and that gun is much larger and heavier, the Taurus G2C is so much lighter and easier to carry.. How ever the Taurus PT92 has a larger barrel and much more accurate at longer ranges but hey when you carry and use it to protect your self your target is not really going to be that far.. So yeah i love this gun and as you said the price is unreal, i never thought i could buy a handgun like that brand new for $200.00, if some one would have asked me where can i get a handgun for $200.00 i would have said maybe used you might find an old worn one, but if he was to ask where can i get a 9MM handgun brand new for $200.00 i would have said nowhere, maybe back in 1980 you could.. So yeah i love this gun..

I’ve owned my G2C for about 3 years now and the one thing I absolutely hated was the trigger. I have bigger hands and long fingers and the long pull was horrible. I switched the trigger to the pseudo backstrap from Keep Tinkering and love the gun now. It out performs any glock I’ve shot and my S&W 40. Over 1000 rounds and not a single issue out of it. I trust my life with it.

I own several Springfield pistols including the XDm 9mm and the XDs 9mm as well as Smith & Wesson and others. I then bought a G2C on a whim on sale. I must admit that after watching several videos about how to fix that catch you talk about which took about 5 minutes and no cost, this is now my favorite 9mm hand gun. I paid a lot more for the Springfields and still this is my go to. After several range trips and hundreds of rounds, not one FTF or FTE, not one issue period. If a gun fits your hand, shoots when you pull the trigger and hits where you aim, then to me that's the right gun for you. This is the right gun for me. I have shot others ie, Glocks, S&W and they all go bang but this one just feels better to me. I am not a gun snob and don't care who makes it just how it feels and works, this one is a winner!

@@jrbullock I do agree with you. Buy the best gun you can afford from a reputable company for self defense. But the most important thing is to take care of your equipment no matter what brand it is. A major brand has imperical data which makes you feel more comfortable in their QA process and longevity. But this does not mean that the gun will not fail at some point due to wear an tear. I ran 400 rounds on my GC2 without any issues. The long trigger pull helps me to be more accurate when switching to my main gun. However, my XDM 4.5 9mm failed to feed due to a stressed magazine spring during the same session. I am glad this was not a self defense situation and proper action was taken to solve the problem.

When I bought my G2C it had the same snag/hangup on the trigger from the trigger safety, but it did work itself out like you said by dry firing, even before I shot the first rounds through it. Now I absolutely love the trigger for what it’s designed for... concealed carry. The only other quirk is the slightly loose magazine in the handle, but this only effects the feel & not the function or accuracy. Darn thing runs flawlessly, even with crappy ammo & is very accurate once I aligned the sights. After a couple hundred rounds through it I’m sold. This gun is a boss!

I love the Fact that this may drive down over-blown Pricing of other Firearms. There's absolutely no reason IMHO other than some competition rigs that any Polymer Hand Tool should cost more than $550, and that's stretching it. Without some serious extras Like: A nice Shooters Package with a decent case, auto loader, extra mags, night sights, even a matching knife. things of that nature that add real have value. Cold Hammer Forged Barrel. Quality and Quantity of actual real Metals injected or otherwise that are part of it's construction. Being completely hand made, all hand machined not CNC. Old School hand engravings. Not all of those of course but at least one or two. Reliability for me on the PT111 G2, one gen newer, has been 100% no matter what I've fed it. Except for the very first day of ownership, when I went from the sales counter straight to the range loaded the mags and proceeded to put 500 rounds downrange. With the very first Mag I had one FTE, that's it no problem of any kind since. I remember when I got it home and broke it down just how damned sticky/tacky the factory lube was, seriously Taurus you need to consider a better lubricant for your offerings. Since then 1600+ rounds no Stove Pipes, F2F or F2E at this price point that's Huge. The tool still looks very good with no real signs of wear. After all the Range Time I've had with this Tool I get a medium hand sized grouping at up to 50 yards. Maybe I got a good one, hit the Taurus Lottery so to speak. I however don't really buy that when there are so many verified Taurus owners with this Exact Model who are absolutely satisfied and in some cases thrilled with their choice/purchase. That brings up another point, upgrades for this platform are extremely affordable compared to its counterparts from other Manufacturers and with this many of them now in circulation I'm hoping to see more.

Well, I have had several Taurus guns over the years. I aimed more towards the revolvers. My all the time carry was a Taurus 605 357 Magnum. I never cared for any semi-automatic pistols. I tend to be into practicality and simplicity. I did a lot of watching reviews and watching all the different tactical reasons why a person would carry a handgun with magazines as opposed to a revolver. I decided to buy the Taurus G2c. I was a little skeptical about the reliability but after fairing many a round through mine I'm pretty much sold on it. It's got several advantages over a 357 Magnum revolver. I don't know which to name as number one but it's a hell of a lot less noisy. I have fired it without ear plugs although it's probably not the best idea but I will never fire that 357 without ear plugs. The number one reason I choose to carry it over a 357 mag is bullet capacity. 12 + 1 beats 5 on the run any day and I keep that other clip in my left pocket. Just in case I'm in a situation where I ever have to pull it and use it for self-defense I always and I mean always have a NAA 22 Mag in my front right pocket. Yes it's a single action but I've been carrying it for a pretty good while and it's got a very nice holster and I'm pretty damn good at quick drawings that little gut popper. I'm also surprisingly accurate was that little gun. When it's all said and done if someone shoots me before I get them it was my time to go. I still keep the 357 mag in my glove box for a quick grab if I'm driving because it's going to be faster than trying to get to my 9 millimeter while I'm sitting in the car. I also carried the 357 mag for when I go back in the woods just in case that smelly ass Sasquatch gets close to me again. I'm going to shoot him in the dick!

It really depends on what you’re using this for (i.e. EDC/CCW vs night stand), how often you shoot, what your spending threshold is, and what kind of quality you expect. If you plan on carrying this everyday and shoot a lot, then I would save up and buy a S&W M&P 9 2.0 Compact w/ 3.6” barrel or a Glock 19 or Glock 45 (the model not the caliber). HOWEVER, if this is going to stay on your night stand and you only go to the range once every other month, the G2C would do you fine.

I bought a PT111 G2 (immediate predecessor to the G2C) at the same time as an M&P 9C. The G2 outperformed the 9C, which needed ejection tuning (ejector tip angle grind), 100rd break in (initially not accurate), and 1mm mag well trim (wouldn't seat full mags). The G2 was great right out of the box. The G2 has solid cross pins whereas the G2C G3 and G3C have roll pins, which have walked with some owners. The G2 has a key lock that is tactile and sticks out when locked (an upgrade from the Millennium Pro, which was not tactile). The Millennium Pro had a high bore axis and the G2 started the low bore axis in the series. The G2 started the new grippier texture in the series. The Millennium Pro had Heine dot over dot dovetailed sights. The G2 and G2C have screw adjustable 3 dot sights so you can dial in point of impact with less than a box of ammo at the first range session. The G3/G3C has a Glock compatible drift adjustable blacked out rear sight (downgrade in my opinion). The G2 and G2C have a tactile and visual loaded chamber indicator. The G3/G3C has an ineffective chamber sight window (definite downgrade). The G2/G2C have stylish and slimming front slide scallops, the G3/G3C are blockier with beveled nose with front slide serrations. The G3/G3C supposedly has an upgraded trigger. The G3/G3C have Teflon coated slide release and thumb safety (some say too slippery). 12rd mags from PT111 upwards are compatible. The G3C comes with 3 mags instead of just 2 mags. 15rd G3 mags are good back up mags. Stainless steel slide versions of the G2C and G3C are available, which might be the best long term finish option and the two tone contrast between the slide anf frame is very good looking. So in my opinion, the G2C in stainless steel is the best version with most features, although some might prefer the blocky Glock styling and trigger of the G3C. The G3X has a fuller grip and 15rd mags with the compact slide of the G3C, which would be good for IWB carry and large hands. My all black G2 is an excellent carry pistol, doubt if I need to upgrade, but my dealer has new stainless G2Cs and G3Cs on display.

Yes the price is right. The long trigger pull is not an issue for me as I have a Walther P 99 AS that has a similar break at the very back. The reset is really very good and so far reliability has been good with the first 300 rounds through it. I also like the look, and the feel in hand is really good. However that little hitch in the trigger is a real pain and needs to be addressed by Taurus. I addressed it with a part from Lakeline which seems to have fixed the issue. The second issue I see is the steel slide with the poor quality coating, expect to see rust in your future. I really wished I had spent the extra and purchased it with the stainless steel slide. A final issue is how tough it is to load those magazines, you definitely need a pistol mag loader. But twelve rounds what a nice option in this size firearm. Overall the Taurus G2C is a decent firearm, and a keeper. With a stainless steel slide I would consider the Taurus G2C a good option for EDC.

I really have to equate this handgun as the AK of the polymer 9mm models. They may be ugly to some and they rattle quite a bit, but they're absolutely reliable. I ran some American Ammo (circa 2000, in the clear blister pack) that was so notorious for malfunctions as the ammunition obviously wasn't resized. This ammo created nothing but problems with several of my 9mms to the point I gave up on it and squirreled away to use for reloading components. On a whim, I dug some out and ran them through my G2C without experiencing a bobble of any kind. These can currently be had for $182 + S&H brand new at various online vendors. At this price point and considering its features, this seriously threatens the "dirt cheap" market currently dominated by Hi Point and the ilk. For example, why purchase an 8-shot Hi Point C9 for $175 when the much smaller/lighter/same-recoil (due to the Browning lockup over the HP blowback) 12-shot Taurus G2C costs only a few bucks more?

@@FitnFire the TH9 is simply a redesigned PT-809..... plenty of reviews on the 809. It's a bad@$$ duty gun. I'm sure the TH9 is equivalent. Matter of fact, I can't get my local FFL to get one in stock. He says everytime he gets one in, it's gone.

Just got mine last month and I absolutely love it! I wanted a G19, but the G2C was at least half the cost of a G19, and it handles way better! Great video.

I was very critical of your first video on this pistol. You just didn't seem to " get it" at first. Now I'm very happy that you gave it a chance. As for that trigger glitch...Yes it will go away. I went over 3500 rounds on my G2C and PT709 with zero malfunctions. My favorite part of the G2C is its reliability. Keep shooting it. That will become your favorite thing about it as well. I have to go out and buy another one now. A couple of weeks ago I traded mine even Steven for a 1946 Enfield No.5 Mk.1 "Jungle Carbine". Lol, best trade I've made in years. And like you said. I can just go out and buy another Taurus any time. So I will.

Picked up the G2C for under $200, to use as my 1st concealed carry. I have large hands and the G2C feels good on the grip. Also it comes with 2-12 round magazines..making it 12+1. I plan on exploring other brands since I’m a newbie but would get another G2C in a quick minute

Great to hear! You might want to look into the S&W M&P 9 Compact with 3.6” barrel, the Sig P365 (might be too small for you), or the new Glock 45.

Love the mounting rail also

Yeah, I was surprised he and other reviewers didn't mention this. I think being able to mount a light on your gun is mission critical if you're going to use it in home defense.

I haven't really mentioned the accessory rail because, for the most part, it has become standard with Glocks, S&Ws, HKs, Walthers, etc. etc. Even 1911s and Beretta 92fs are coming with rails these days. I thought it was somewhat of an expectation at this point

I picked one up and I absolutely love it it is my favorite carry piece.. even if it was twice the price it would still a bargain, it has the external safety for those that want to use it, it has a loaded chamber indicator, shorter reset than the Glock, decent trigger, accurate, reliable, I have 3,250 rounds through mine not one malfunction, and it has double strike capabilities in case you have shit ammo.. It has more features than most $600 guns for two hundred bucks it's a no-brainer and possibly the best grip on the market... I don't think anything is comparing to this gun right now

I’m glad you like it. However, there are a number of other pistols I would rather have if the G2C was twice the price. But, that’s just me

@@FitnFire just out of curiosity what other gun would you choose over it with the same features the same capacity and the same small size that you can conceal? Before I bought the g2c I was going to by the Glock 26 and then I shot it and it's terrible I felt like it was going to jump out of my hands and it holds less around the g2c... I have a few full-size guns that I love but they're hard to conceal and heavy..

@@ramsinc5521 Canik TP9SF, S&W M&P 9 Compact, Ruger Security 9 Compact, Walther Creed, or S&W M&P 9 Shield with mag extensions are a few I recommend.

@@FitnFire funny you said the Canik I'm actually picking mine up on Sunday.. but that gun is a lot bigger than the g2c I'm getting it for the house I'm going to put a light on it and all that stuff

@@ramsinc5521 I would imagine you are concerned with concealability of a pistol. I will have to say, I carry a Glock 19 most days and do not have an issue with being able to conceal it. So, from a size comparison, it is not impossible to easily conceal compact vs subcompact pistols. When I am in gym clothes, I am usually carrying the P365 since it is the only holster I currently have with the Ulti-MAK clip that will secure the pistol to my shorts or sweat pants. Just how I roll

G2C is a great budget pistol. I love mine, however it needs a couple of mods. Number 1, the trigger flat out sucks!(sorry Fit’n Fire) With the ‘Keep Tinkering’ trigger mod and spring it makes a 1000 percent difference! Also the sights. I added the Tritium night sights and what a difference! Better in daylight and highly visible in the dark! With these inexpensive mods the gun is now my number one carry gun. I own a S&W M&P Shield and a Springfield Armory Hellcat. They stay at home! 😬
