These are some amazing tips! It’s sad to see people still cohabitate leopard geckos, keep them on sand etc. People will often take advice from petco/ petsmart employees which are not educated enough about these special animals. That’s why you should always find information from different sources! Thank you for this great video

The light thing isn’t true heat pads are good but they only give C they don’t give A and B like a deep heat projector and the healthiest for the gecko is a deep heat projector and uvb

What are your thoughts on having a sand pit in the hot side of a gecko enclosure? I use a glass dish with sand (calcisand I believe) and a few rocks. And my leopard gecko loves it, especially because it stays very warm. It doesn't eat the sand and I check her poop to make sure of it. I also never feed her in it

Case by case but always recommend something they can’t accidently consume. Premium reptile Liners are the best so far for captivity

I love your videos I’m excited to start breeding I’d love to learn more in detail on how a spicific morph effects different morphs when you combine. Also what would happen if you had a double albino or bell and tremper both showing. Can a bell be showing bell and be het for tremper. Ik you shouldn’t breed the albinos bc the hets won’t make anlbino.

On heating pads I heard to put insulation under the pad and furniture to focus the heat back at the tank and protect furniture, is this bogus advice? Wouldn't it cause heat encapsulation?

Over all the answer is yes because heat pads tend to go about 10 over the room temp. So not only could it start a fire it could roast your poor gecko cause it can get too hot. Mine stays around 90 cause it has minimal air floe but it has some. It needs air flow even if ts hardly any

One don’t put your leopard gecko in our microwave too I have the same geckos and they eat them so you have something to explain and they aren’t sick

Great tips, I have seen so many preach the opposite. Hopefully you can help to convince them otherwise. I have heat mat on a thermostat set to 90, and I also have a low wattage "basking" bulb just to keep ambient temp between 70 and 78 during the Ohio winter. Loved the pic you showed at the end, have you done a video covering the plants you like to use? -Johnny @BornToEatBacon

I had a female gecko I fed her worms I brought at a pedshop I have been feeding her for weeks but one day I found her dead and the worms ate her from the inside why is that 🥺
