Something to note that a lot of people skip over in the instructions. Is taking the time to “clock” the LED bulbs properly in the halogen housings. My experience with LEDS, they all came with instructions making sure to face the emitters at 3 and 9 o clock so sideways as opposed to 12-6 which results in blinding everyone on the road. Something to note for those considering upgrading. Cheers!
After a little research and thinking about it, I would not want a cooling fan that circulates air in and out of the headlight assembly because moisture can also circulate. It seems better if the fan just blows air across the external heat sink fins. But either way, the fans can and do fail so I'm starting to get a new appreciation for OEM halogen bulbs.
I like the sevanal LED replacement bulbs. They are pure white and light up the road well. They don't have the blue look which might look cool but doesn't help you see at all and in rain or fog the blue ones are awful. Ty that's why I like the sevanal units 😅
more of a question really i have a 2013 mazda 6 and i am looking to convert to L E D cause i have the halogen on the car and i dont understand on how to do it do i need a convetion kit or not plwase if you can help talk me through or even suggest the best brand would be greatly appreseated look for more saftey where i live in the north in canada alot of moose and other big animals on road at night pleas help
Fellow mazda6 owner here, I would recommend deer whistles as well as the headlights just to be extra safe. There are very many video here on YT showing how to replace a headlight bulb. Amazon reviews for most of the bulbs I've looked at show that they are pretty easy to install with the instructions that come with it.
If u want straight forward plug and play, and u want an active cooling fan led bulbs. Which is better because the cooler the led bulb, the better the lifespan, and u want an all in one unit. Highly recommend Auxito - M3 $63 a pair and get a nice 2 year warranty. If u want with an external driver, get Auxito - Y13.
I run auxito H11 leds that have a fan built in, never ran into a problem nor was it $25 like yours mine was around $90, I did have a problem with the small 921 leds that don’t dissipate he enough so they start to flicker.
@@rudydaberry122 yes I would say so they stand behind their product as I’ve had 1 set of low beams replaced for free from auxito you can’t get that from lot these cheap LEDs from Amazon no name brands. But top end brands I would definitely go with Morimoto or GTR lighting.
@@jesussanchez-wt2txled bulbs doesn’t make 15000 lumens. It’s a complete lie. No led bulbs will ever make that brightness. That’s on led light bar territory. If the led bulbs have 30W per bulb, it makes 3000 lumens per bulb, if it has 45W per bulb, it makes 4500 lumens per bulb. Those are the realistic numbers. And more honest. Just like Lasfit, VLED’s, S-V.4, Xenon Depot, Morimoto, GTR-Lighting, and Diode dynamics. Please don’t believe this toxic claims that’s total bs. Anything u see 150W or even I saw they claim is 1000W per bulb, or 20,000 lumens or 100,000 lumens per bulb is major bogus. Check out headlight revolution and they tell u the truth. And they do testin better than others because they test more.
Doesn't putting an LED bulb into a halogen housing blind everyone else on the road since the housing isn't designed for it? If not, why are some vehicles headlights so blinding?
From my experiences with led bulbs you may have to adjust them down to keep them from aiming so high. That’ll reduce the blinding effect some. Plus I’ve read there is a limit to the brightest a led is allowed to be. Some are probably pushing to much power anyway
Active cooling also has its downsides, it allows for higher brightness at the cost of reliability. Fan reliability which is not great and when the fan dies even if the bulb has temperature control brightness goes down so much that they become useless. Also fans are audible which makes them easy to spot by authorities and it's not good because retrofits are illegal pretty much across the world.
I mean, the fan noise is not exactly what's going to give you away, it's the clearly different color temperature and brightness that will get you the ticket. If it's illegal, then the very nature of a light bulb makes it hard to hide you're breaking that law, fan or not.
Hey I purchased two pairs of led low beam lights. 1. Watt 60w (30w/ bulb) & Lumens 6000LM 2. Watt 50w (25w/ bulb) & Lumens 5000LM I obviously want high visibility but dont want to blind on coming drivers - what do you suggest?
@@toyotabrony I ended up going with the brighter ones. All the new vehicles have blinding lights way brighter anyways. And I’m lower to the ground (sedan).
