I love that concept: “If you don’t advocate for yourself… how can you expect anyone else to?” This definitely inspires confidence and helps overcome anxiety about sharing accomplishments with the public. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the great advice, Jeff! I’ve never tried posting on LinkedIn out of shyness and fear but I‘ll be thinking about what meaningful post I can make after this video ^-^
Took me a very very long time since creating a profile to publish my first post. To be very honest with you I cared about the number of likes for a short while after but realized afterwards it's much more about the relevance of the content and the meaningful engagements through the comments or direct messages :). It's more important to get started!
Thanks Will! Yes it's something I don't think enough people leverage. I wish I had started posting regularly back when I was in college, I would have a lot more content to look back and reflect upon!
I have a question Jeff how can I search for a job in linkedin with posiotion and language for example im located in Germany but i need a job with english speaking job with a certain role ? can you helpe me with that .thx
That's great to hear Sujatha! I've always wanted to make sure these videos are useful and goes straight to the point. Hope you like the other videos as well :)
I keep deleting my LinkedIn, But if I don’t have an active/public Twitter I know it’s best to have a LinkedIn. (My Twitter is mostly fandom things not that professional) But it has the same icon as this lol. Should I make a public Twitter just to have one? I’ve been debating this for months and deleted that too.
Hi Sarah! For editing software it would be Final Cut Pro, and for the full recording kit I basically took Ali Abdaal's entire production kit and copied it haha 😅
last two days I have watched each and every videos that you have made so far! I have an interview On the 15th December which is very crucial for me. I would appreciate if you can help me with some suggestions personally.
Wow! Can't say no to a loyal fan like that :). Feel free to join the FB group and post your questions there and I'll respond within 24-48 hours. This way it would be beneficial for the other community members as well. Let me know if that works :)
@@JeffSu definitely it will work, but would you mind if I share there later because there will be many personal info. I have already sent a connection request to LinkedIn and let me try to share a bit more personalized post over fb group now. Thanks for quick response my friend!
I think it took me like 6 years to publish my first ever LinkedIn post (and I think I edited it 5+ times). But trust me, it's well worth it! You'll receive a lot of positive support and it'll start teaching you how to write meaningful posts that engage with your connections :)
@@JeffSu That would be awesome! Thanks Jeff, your videos are all useful. I came to your RU-vid channel from RED lol (just for you to know where did you get users from haha)
@@yurongtian2022 no problem! Let me know if you want to brainstorm some ideas for your first post 😊. Ah that’s great! The red community is so amazing!!
I work for a publicly traded company. I don't know if it's okay to publish my milestones. Would you just do it or do you have an idea how I could do it?
Hi Jeff, I had about a month ago an experience which left me reluctant to widely open my profile on LinkedIn. I originally had a very well-connected profile where I used to post and connect and have meaningful conversations and messages with those that I was connected to; however, my profile was hacked and my personal information, resume, and posts that I made were impacted. I contacted LinkedIn and they closed that account on the spot. I am currently working with half of what I was able to do in my prior profile and unfortunately, I lost almost all of the prior recommendations that I had originally. Besides, trying to contact all of those that had commented on my work and had given me accolades for the good work I had made; what do you recommend in a case like mine? Thank you for your time and I am very happy to have found your informative YT channel.
You are too good. I am watching your all videos on Linkedin. Thanks for the Useful Information. And I have also sent you a request on the FB group and on Linkedin Please accept
Thanks for the kind words Rumman! I actually deprecated the Facebook group since I have a community/comment function on my website now: www.jeffsu.org!
