@@lunabearsong2043 it was supposed to have been a spin-off of the show starring Helga and her family(specifically her parents and sister)but Nick had second thoughts and decided to can it because they thought it would've been too dark then it was handed over to MTV for them to air but they changed their minds and decided to can it also because they thought it would've been to similar to Daria
Watch the episode "Helga on the Couch", and you'll find out why Helga LOVES Arnold so much. "So, Nobody's ever noticed you before???" "There WAS someone."
Helga had a crush on Arnold since she was in preschool. She felt that way because he was the only person who noticed her, unlike her negligent parents and perfect older sister.
And don't forget grandpa uses the bathroom often and showers there when in fact he can just use his own really beautiful great bathroom in the basement!!! Lol
1- I think that s the point. Helga keeps making new shrines once the food starts decaying and no one in her family pays attention to her like ever. 2-Mr Smith was just a mistery guest at Arnold s house, who was created to make an interesting episode and teach the other characters a lesson. 3- Yeah that s just bad and weird.
Helga is severely neglected, she’s one call away from being a DYFS case. That’s why she’s able to get away with the shrine and her parents never noticed.
There are petitions for green-lighting more Hey Arnold seasons, the Patakis, and a spin-off of Harold. Here are the links. www.thepetitionsite.com/392/477/623/green-light-more-hey-arnold-seasons/ www.thepetitionsite.com/904/389/760/green-light-the-patakis/ www.thepetitionsite.com/989/027/927/green-light-hey-harold-spin-off-series/#updated
I love that in the jungle movie arnold realises how great helga is ... she gives up her locket her biggest fear is humiliation and rejection and people laughing at her and she puts arnold and his parents first .... I wonder when they marry will she tell him all she did for him throughout the series ..x x
I have an idea for nick rewind Sunday Monday and Tuesday should be 90s nicktoons Wednesday And Thursday should be 2000s nicktoons Friday should be 2000s/2010s sitcoms Saturday should be the snick part 90s sitcoms
The last time her mom throw out her shrine of arnold, so I'm guessing when her mom cleans her room she replaces them. And they later discovered another bathroom.
Another unanswered question is, why was Grandpa Phil using the upstairs bathroom to take a shower in the "Apartment 16" episode when he could've just used his own private bathroom? Was his shower not working at the time? Or maybe the bathroom wasn't built until later on. Who knows?
Helga's family is oblivious to their daughter so they would never notice her bringing stuff up to her room, Mr. Smith is a secret agent and the Boarding house is old and been around since 1890s! Having a communal bathroom would have been normal. A lot of bed and breakfasts or hotels would have had a bunch of rooms but no bathrooms in the room. The other bathrooms were put in later with construction.
Some additional unsolved mysteries: 1. Why does the shrine look different in every episode? 2. Is Mr. Smith his real name? 3. Does anyone know there is one more resident who lives in the boarding house? Some lady with some foreign accent we met in “Heat”.
I heard the creators wanted her to have a creepy crush on Arnold, but that idea was canned and I'm guessing she moved out after Heat. What is crazy is that Ernie says there's 13 borders but even if you count Mr Smith, Arnold, Grandpa, Grandma, and the lady with the accent, that's only 9 people.
Possibility 1: Mr Smith was a spy working for some government organisation, the technology he had was from them and he was on an assignment that took him 3 plus years to complete, and he moved out of the boarding house once his job had been completed. And he really liked Alfred Hitchcock movies. Possibility 2: Mr Smith was an ordinary, if a little eccentric, man who wore an overcoat, had a penchant for bolar hats, had some weird friends, worked for a tech company, and was just very private. And he really liked Alfred Hitchcock. Possibility 3: The people behind Hey Arnold just wanted to create an interesting character, where the entire point was the mystery and to leave us scratching our heads. And he really likes Alfred Hitchcock. Any of these could be the answer, but we may never know.
The real reason why we don't see mr. Smith's face is because there are more than one mr. Smith. I think that he is a spy but the company uses that boarding house as a safe house.
1. Hmm...maybe Helga sprayed preservatives on the fruits for her Arnold shrine. But how did she get preservatives in the house without her parents knowing? I guess it's best to leave these mind-boggling questions unanswered because it just generates MORE questions! 2. Maybe Mr. Smith takes care of all his "business" at night when everybody's asleep, and walks around in a trench coat during the day to be unseen. He might be a private person. He could be *filthy* rich and own a helicopter for that reason. Some people live in cheap apartments or wear cheap clothing despite how rich they are because that's how they choose to live their life.
the boarding house did have a 2nd bathroom but we dont find out until the episode when grandpa tells Arnold and Gerald the story of the scientist and the missing glasses
In the Jungle Movie, after going through several events, they finally acknowledged their feelings for each other. Creator Craig Bartlett has confirmed that the two are meant for each other, and in the future they get married and have 3 kids. He's also stated that Arnold eventually finds out all that Helga did for him.
Bringing food to her room, really? I do it all the time? What is the big deal? And I sure you, I love watermelon myself, so I always take a huge half and pig out on, while watching youtube
If Mr. Smith worked for the federal government he wouldn't be living in a boarding home unless he's on a secret mission. Secondly Grandpa has a secret bathroom and Mr. Smith has his own.
There are 4 bathrooms Mr.Smith's, The one for every boarder, Granpa Phil's secret basement one and Grandma Gertrude Grandpa Phil have another bathroom in their room. :)
