Nope, I just hate the Mossberg 500's ergonomics, and I prefer the 700 due to how cheap and accurate they are, not to mention the host of aftermarket accessories for them. Oh and they were the firearms I grew up with, stop being so cynical.
FPSRussia's whole channel is about weapon demonstrations and information. Useful for any type of scenario. He flat-out knows that the world isn't ending in December. He's simply having fun.
Nice choice of guns man. I own a Mossberg 500 and Remington 870 and both are my favorite shotguns I own. Extremely reliable and 12 GA ammunition is plentiful. For long range, I have a Remington 700 chambered in 30-06. It will kill anything in North America.
Pretty good choices, the ammo for the Mosin might be scarce, honestly a .308 rifle is the long range way to go, and this is coming from someone who loves his m44.
Remington 870, an AR-15, Glock 17, and a Remington 700 in .30-06. Access to ammunition, access to replacement parts, and reliability must be the top priorities in this scenario. For the R700, I prefer the .308, but there is no denying that .30-06 in more common and more versatile.
I'm sure you can find some 5.56x45mm NATO or .223 Remington loads that can be almost as lethal, if not as lethal, as standard 7.62x39mm loads. The ideal load for just about any cartridge is one that transfers almost all of its energy to its target while maintaining just enough to create an exit wound (for that extra bleeding).
As you saw in the video, the targets he used were Alien Invaders. Weapon choices vary depending on what type of Apocalypse we are talking about. If it was Zombies, go for quiet, deadly weapons. However, if it were Aliens or total anarchy, then the weapons in the video are a pretty sure-fire way of surviving. You got the power and reliability for each range. And for melee range, you can never go wrong with a Katana, Shaolin Spade, or a club.
awesome video as usual!! These are the three weapons of choice I would pick too in a SHTF scenereo!! Dont forget to grab a .22 caliber rifle as well for small game, so you have something to eat. rabbit, bird etc. Excellent job on the videos, I watch every episode you come out with.
Personally for long range the Dragunov Sniper Rifle would do great, it's semi-automatic, powerful, accurate, can take a beating like the AK, and can be upgraded in many ways as there are many variations of the gun. I can understand why the Remington would be a good choice with 1000m range, but the Dragunov pulls 800m and that being an autosniper... although it is expensive at over 4000$ for a GOOD commercial version, but in an apocalypse money doesn't matter!
Awesome idea for a video! Would love to see a "Zombie Apocalypse" top weapons with considerations for loudness, mobility, ease of finding ammo (in a post-apocalyptic world), etc. be creative!
Incredible! I am from Indonesia and guns or rifle are not available for us to play. You're either very strong or you're used to weapons because you make us see that shooting is so simple. I tried a few weapons in Thailand and feel the heavy blow back but you're shooting with high caliber with little blow back! Keep shooting target and keep uploading. *Cheers*
Hey FPSRussia, what side arm would you want for an apocalypse scenario? Would you go for a revolver or semi-automatic? And would you go for the more readily available 9mm or something with a bit more punch?
I love my Remington 870 and my Mossberg 500, both low cost defense that doesn't mess around. I've got two AK's but also bought one of the bushmaster AR's chambered in 7.62x39. So far the AR has worked good as long as I stick to Bushmaster mags, the others seem to have a feeding problem. I'm torm between a bolt action 308 holding 3 rounds or my FAL 308 with a 20 or 30 round mag or even 50 round drum. The damn FAL is heavy as hell though, bolt action is way lighter and more acurate. Fun video!
FPS Russian is not dead people just say it for a joke because of the call of duty advert and then people take it just that bit to far nice video by the way.)
Honestly for long range I would have to say Ruger gunsite ranch rifle. It is chambered in a .308 and accurate like the Remington 700 but It has a 10 round box mag and easy to use iron sites and even comes with detachable rails for mounting optics. I love mine to death and it is also great for medium distance targets.
Love that new CoD Black OPS II commercial!!! It was the best game commercial I have ever seen!!! "Surprise horse lady" lol. Can't wait to try those things u were controlling. It's about time those kind of things came out in a game! WOO! Love ur vids, hope to see more! FPS Russia FTW!!! U r the best FPS!
Your welcome, .22 caliber is cheap and makes good for hunting and self defense in some situations, because the round is small and high velocity when it penetrates it tends to bounce around and ricochet, which makes it deadly. My favorite show is dooms day preppers as well and never miss an episode. absolutely enjoyed your last video with firearms of choice in a scenario. My name is john, keep up the good work on the videos.
For all of you who think FPSRussia is Russian...I have news for you. FPSRussia, is in fact, American. He was born in Georgia, USA. He has and is unfortunately, FPSRedneck. He is still one of the best RU-vidrs in my opinion! He's a hillbilly. So what? I was just here to inform you guys. At least he maters the Russian accent. Probably the best Russian accent I've ever heard from someone who is not Russian. Keep the videos coming FPSRussia. Don't worry... you'll still be FPSRussia. :)
Lol Kyle your normal accent was seeping into your Russian one for a moment there XD By the way great video I plan on picking up a AK-74 eventually I hope it's close enough to the 47 in accuracy & stopping power for the apocalypse great video, great video. :)
Btw FPSRussia isn't russian. Its a character hes made up. He used to do LP's under the name FPSKyle. You can tell the accent fades in some of his sentences. But simply because he does an accent, this shouldn't deter you from watching his videos. They're still entertaining =)
It was in relevance to your last sentance. The AK-47 has very noticeable barrel movement and makes bullet spread a nightmare over distance. If the fire fight is close(1m - 100m) then the AK-47 fully auto would be decent.Over distances 150+ meters ,I'd estimate 15 to 20 of the 30 rounds in the mag would fall short or travel to high to be able to supress an enemy, because of the loose barrel. I dont serve with the U.S ,but serve the same cause in over seas missions.Im with the New Zealand Army.
that is why i would want an smg with select fire modes, single shot and full auto because smg with a supressor is really quiet but can still kill and their compact so their easy to use in close range engagements and with the single shot mode i can conserve ammo and be more accurate at longer range with the smg. my doomsday selection would be SCAR-H, Spas 12 shotgun cause it has a longer range than most shot guns, mtar 21 smg supressor, mk 11 sniper rifle and an M1911 pistol AKA colt 45.
well, if you want to know my feelings and worldviews, I think the Michael Jackson song "scared of the moon" that I just added to my favorites and likes says alot about me (including the dance routine at the end of that music video that someone made for it, I learned that from following salsa lessons, it's about the only thing I did learn/remember). The playlist I made with Michael Jackson songs gives you even more insight into my thoughts and feelings, who I am, I can't tell it as well as MJ.
You should do a breaching episode. You could have a small charge blow open a wall and you go in and take down targets. I personally don't care what gun you use.
