Movie idea: *Chairs.* Plot: A wooden chair called Thunder LeKing always gets sat on, so he seeks to go to Soviet Russia and sit on humans. But in the process, he is bothered by a rich mahogany chair called Fater. Interesting, right?
I’ve Noticed that you can watch cars 1 and 3 skipping 2 and not Have any major issues, So I’m pretty sure they know that 2 was a mistake as well. ..... The planes spin-offs are kind of a secret guilty pleasure For me, Probably only because of me being a big aircraft Fan, So I enjoy the aviation references.
Wall-E is my favorite Pixar movie, and there’s no denying it for me. The effects, visuals, characters, concept, it’s all just beautiful to me. Wall-E and Eve are honestly adorable even if they are only robots. Who else agrees with me? I hope my opinion isn’t alone. ;w;
The first cars movie had a huge impact on my life, and was not actually so bad. It was the first movie I ever saw, and it inspired me to become a car enthusiast.
I loved the first one, I was kinda ok with the second one, and I really liked the third one. It was my childhood and no one could ruin it for me! Never!
What if toys have feelings What if monsters have feelings What if bugs had feelings What if robots have feelings What if rats have feelings What if fish has feelings What if cars have feelings What if a bear has feelings What if your feelings have feelings Coco... Up... Incredibles
-Walks into the living room watching the “1st Worst” then my mom asks me this:“Cars is on!!! You wanna watch it?!” Me: -throws phone into my room “YES, OF COURSE!!!!!”
The Toy Story films, the Cars films, The Incredibles and more were quite revolutionary to me as a child, since when I hear of them, I feel a huge sense od nostalgia. This is why Pixar will forever be one of the (if not *the*) greatest animation companies of all time, and a very revolutionary one too.
Development hell killed any good potential The Good Dinosaur could have had. There are some genuinely beautiful scenes hidden in there (the scene where Arlo and Spot use driftwood sticks to represent their families was a perfect way to give exposition without a single word of dialogue). But it really needed to be shelved if they were having too many problems. I am curious to see what is going to happen to the supposed Toy Story 4 sequel, now that Lasseter's been in trouble with the recent Hollywood sexual assault scandal. I kind of hope it doesn't happen, cause it would ruin the perfect ending of the third movie.
I agree. I'm split on whether Toy Story 4 should happen as I really enjoyed the perfect ending to 3. And yeah, some of the quiet moments in the forest with Arlo and Spot were really pleasant
LPFan Because it is now 14 years since the original's release and you tired of waiting? Or because Pixar wasted time with sequels for movies that, unlike The Incredibles, should not have sequels, like Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo and specially the Cars movies?
This is the one time I actually disagree with strider with cars. I was a fan of cars. Cars 2 was bad. Cars 3 was good. But that goes to show how different our taste are. And that’s great. Thank you for the new view on the films.
Cars: AMAZING Cars 2: DIE Cars 3: OK Inside Out: GREAT Toy Story: AMAZING Toy Story 2: AWSOME Toy Story 3: MASTERPIECE Toy Story 4: AHHHHH SO GOOD Monsters Inc: MASTERPIECE Monsters Universty: Hm Yeah? You Could Say Good? All the other movies: MASTERPIECE
Gera WallStar Yes, you really do need to see it. Like one of the other commenters here I don't usually cry at movies but Coco made me do so. Easily one of the best Pixar has ever done.
It was a good concept, and the characters were really interesting, and so were the visuals, but I feel like it wasn’t executed very well, especially for Disney princess standards, I thought the pacing was way too fast because i didn’t really have the time to take in the fact that she ran away and that her mom was in trouble and it didn’t really deliver the message as strongly as it could have, i don’t get me wrong, i definitely enjoyed it, but I just felt like it was mediocre compared to other movies
"Soon you'll be sitting around a campfire with Andy eating Delicious hot schmoes" "They're called S'mores, Buzz" Well done with this list! You've got a friend in me, my dude :D
Daveret Brunet Absolutely! I don't want to self promote, but I do impressions of the characters and Dub the comics based on the game. I also played the game for my channel. How about you? If you do, who do you main?- Mundy
Jd J You know, that might be why adult Pixar fans aren’t fond of that franchise. It’s intended for a much younger audience. Something like The Incredibles probably appeals to teens or older while Toy Story fans ‘grew up alongside the franchise,’ as it were. Brave and Coco, of course, fit Disney’s ‘family entertainment’ model by having pieces that appeal to children, teens and adults. Cars... Eh. It’s meant for much younger audiences, so we might as well just leave it be.
@@etcetera1995 Uh... That is what you think about Cars. Honestly I ask other older adults about Cars, and they really agree with me that Cars is fun to watch. I am just saying as a fact.
Ya i was sitting down with my family and we were watching netflix when we came across it and i was like "i honestly wanted to see this movie" and we agreed ot watch it,we um well we did cry i honestly didnt know what to think about it just that its a gooooooood movie
Ok seriously, why is everyone hating on cars 1 and 3? I like cars 2 but I understand why people hate it And ya cars 1 and 3 has flaws but they’re not that bad, they’re actually really good movies Y’all give them WAY too much hate tbh
SuperYoshiFan10090 Studios 1.this was 2 months ago, why are you replying? 2.your taking this way too seriously, I just said I thought the cars movies got too much hate, I respect all opinions 3. I’m not playing the victim, and I never do 4. Take A Fucking Chill Pill
SuperYoshiFan10090 Studios you saying “ROBLOX/Minecraft username” basically ruined any chance you had at winning this argument, and yes I’m a furry, so what? And no I don’t vape, cause vaping is fucking retarded, but yah bye
Cars 1: One of the most classic Pixar movies, very nostalgic and deserves to be watched. Cars 2: Kind of bland with the "secret agent" fitting and the explosions and deaths genre is getting boring. Cars 3: Awesome with flashbacks back to Doc Hudson, Cruz is a bland character and Jackson Storm is good, The movie is awesome and also deserves to be watched.
Completely agree with this cars was good for its time.. cars 2 was woeful and cars 3 was pretty and had a very, hate to say it realistic story to any sports professionals
I think you seem to misunderstand the Cars films. With the exception of Cars 2, they weren’t made just to sell merchandise and have just as much heart and passion put into them as any other Pixar film. Plus the 1st and 3rd films (Mostly the 1st) actually received positive reviews. So it’s not like they completely damaged Pixar’s reputation or anything. I respect your opinion tho.
I loved all 3 Cars films! I think the main reason is cuz I grew up with parents who both love cars, and my dad used to work on them as a hobby as I was growing up, and he's very knowledgeable about the older ones and how they work, too, despite having a bad back nowadays that keeps him from working on them that much... My mom isn't as knowledgeable about them, but still highly enjoys talking about them, especially cute, sporty vehicles... 😊 Anyway, that's probably a huge factor as to why I love all the Cars films! Heck, I wouldn't mind if they made a Cars 4 someday... 😃 Say what you will about it, albeit respectfully, but that won't change my opinion on the franchise! 😉
Doc Hudson was my favorite character and I didn’t pay enough attention to Cars 2 to figure out he died between 1 and 2 so when I watched 3 I was like “Oh god I need a minute...” But the good thing about Cars 3 was that watching it rekindled this interest in not only the franchise but also in classic cars that I had a long time ago.
I'm only agreeing with you on Cars 2, Cars 1 was relatively original with a sound track consisting of several classic songs and cars 3 was a sequel that made way more sense then secret agent Larry the cable guy
Top 3: 1) Inside Out 2) Coco 3) Toy Story 3 Bottom 3: 17) The Good Dinosaur 18) Brave 19) Cars 2 Hot take: Cars 3 is underrated. Not a great movie, but it's pretty good.
still not going to watch that,i dont remember shit from the first two even tho i forced myself to watch them fully without sleeping(almost slept in at the 25 minute mark, then i slapped myself hard)
bruh drake watch cars 1 & 3 and the story will make sense. Cars 2 was more of a cash grab and I think Pixar is trying to pretty much forget the second cars movie.
Esdras Mendes I agree so much it hurts. It’s obvious I don’t belong here It’s bizarre that all the movies he likes I have or has never seen them And the movies he hates I love!
i agree with you esdras mendes the cars movies and skylanders but that`s beside the point they where my childhood so much nostalga when i see the first movie and when i saw the third even as a teenager i thought it was good
Ok cars 2 was pretty bad but the first one and third showed you a good connection to the characters and the thirds animation was one of the best I ever saw
Ratatouille was my favorite as a kid and I still have a soft spot fot it! This might be a bit silly, but it made me fall in love with Paris and I got actually invested in the characters even if they were literal rats.
Ratatouille will always be my no 1 favorite. Inside out used to be no 1 for a while but when I rewatched ratatouille I knew it still is no 1. I still laugh in that movie to this day, its that good.
Funny enough, all three of your worst picks were never nominated for Best Animated Film, unless you’re counting Cars 1. Lol. I for one hate Finding Dory. It feels like a cheap cash in while tainting what made the first movie a spectacle.
Anime America As someone who absolutely loves Finding Nemo, Finding Dory did not live up to what I would hope it would be. It wasn't terrible, but I felt like it certainly could've been so much better
Anime America, I agree that Finding Dory was a cynical attempt to cash in the original movie and its characters. Furthermore, I felt like every character from the first regressed or twisted to fit a plot that was written with different characters in mind, or a rushed compiling of a half dozen or so incomplete drafts. Plus, the new characters were unmemorable or annoying particularly the beluga whale with his echolocation. In the end, it added nothing and made me question if the original was as good as I remembered, which is one of the worst things that a sequel can do for a franchise or IP.
I don't necessarily blame Pixar for this, the only reason they made that movie was because demand was ridiculously high. I do admit it is pretty hard to follow up Finding Nemo, and I give them major props for being able to make a movie to where it didn't ruin the first one
Finding dory shouldn't have existed in the first place The 1st one ended up perfectly.Nobody asked for a continuation This is worse than the end of evagellion and the infamous 3rd Madoka film for me
To Cars defense, its a stunning movie that shows great sportsmanship and character. It shows you that you are never to late to change. Even if it is one of Pixars weaker films, ratings from snooty critics can't stop it from it being a good movie. The 1st and 3rd maybe rip-offs of Doc Hollywood and Rocky 4 but to give a good example, what do you think Lion King was "based" off of other than Hamlet? And everybody loves Lion King even if it is a rip off! Cars 2 was at least more entertaining than Good Dinosaur and Brave. Pixar took it in the wrong direction but seeing yet again a another character out of place and understanding something that a *smart* car couldn't is quite an interesting plot. Cars 2 was more memorable than some of Pixars other horrible films and the Cars franchise is so good that Disney tried to spin it off with Planes. Cars 2 let Pixar experiment something to the beyond with the detail in the animation, however it was a bit lazier animation with the movements of the cars themselves. But overall I think Cars 1 and Cars 3 are the most fun Pixar movies and can be something that adults (except you) even will not dread watching it out of any other animated film out there. Its not the perfect trilogy like Httyd and Back to the Future. But I have seen far more worse trilogies from good companies like Paramount. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.
I disliked the video for phantomstrider hating cars, I even kinda thought the second movie was alright, then we had cars 3 which was a masterpiece to me
i really liked the cars trilogy. i never understood why people hated the cars franchise. cars 1 and 3 are probably as good as the toy story movies. and the 2nd one may not be perfect but its still a roller coster of a movie and its still really enjoyable. i guess people are either too nostalgic for other pixar films or just too quick to judge cars
@@dimwit47_ he has as opinion and so do you, not everything is based on ur opinion, he even says that in the beginning of these kinda vids, I love monsters university, but I don’t quit watching someone I like because they don’t like it, if ur gonna do that that’s fine, but like that’s such stupid way to stop watching someone
That dinosaur movie sucked. The good dinosaur or whatever, adults were bored, kids didnt laugh, just a flop Edit: holy crap that was your first pick lol
i really loved the original cars, but not because of the characters or the story. i liked it because of the music and the route 66 setting. i live like 3 blocks from a part of route 66 and when the movie came out, i realized the “welcome to radiator springs” mural is in my area, and so are some of the buildings. it truly is slowly being forgotten. that mural is completely covered by trees and very faded. most of the buildings are failing antique stores. i think the reason i like Cars isnt because of the story, its about the representation of the setting, and the desire to transform it to look like it did in its heyday like they achieved in the movie. dont get me wrong though, they probably could’ve tweaked the thing a bit and the other two movies were completely pointless.
Ok, i've adressed this in other parts of this comment section, now time to write à comment on its own: None of your criticism even qualifies as arguments at all. 1st of all: No, it should NOT apply to the whole franchise. 2nd:Just because it's about talking Cars with eyes and mouth doesn't mean the movie can't be good! 3rd: Even if Cars had lower ratings on Rotten Tomatoes than most Pixar films from that period, it's still got a fairly good reception. 4th: NO, a movie about CHAIRS would NOT have been more interesting! In fact, it would've been EVEN LESS interesting, because chairs don't do much. Also, idc if the story is generic, it's got enough to stand on its own. Idc what i've missed, but i just couldn't keep listening to you slandering Cars.
It sounds like he’s only seen Cars 2, and not 1 or 3. Cars 1 and 3 had some pretty good jokes, some of them you wouldn’t get until you actually think about them. Plus, he judges the movies by their concept and not their plots. All of the above I’ve written in my own comment. And his big ol bulging eyes are so distracting that I almost couldn’t stop looking at them
Anthony Baca Same here. The first one has always held a place in my heart. It has a charm to it that makes me love it so much. And Cars 3 brought that feeling back.
Anthony Baca - Be proud that the Cars movies were part of your childhood! And, don't let anyone give you a "soft spot" about it. We are all different with different childhoods (only in a good and unique way). And, you should be proud of that! :)
I will say I enjoyed monsters University only because I love movies that center around a contest with fun challenges and elimination. Nice idea, not executed properly
For the longest time I thought The Good Dinosaur was just Disney and not Pixar. Don't get me wrong, Disney has made some incredible cg movies on their own (Wreck it Ralph is one of my all time favorite movies) but they don't quite match up to the movies that they make with Pixar. So I was genuinely surprised when I learned The Good Dinosaur was by them. I didn't hate the movie but it just felt...average.
Not to mention that Toy Story was just a perfect choice for the technical limitations of the time. Everything looked all plasticy, and what's made of plastic? Toys! So make a movie about toys.
c0mpu73rguy Kinda what I mean, they kept the focus off of the plastic looking humans and kept the focus on what was meant to look like plastic, the toys.
kurisu7885 Sorry, I was answering to warren but youtube didn’t automatically included his nickname like it sometimes happen. I do not disagree with you at all.
REMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEMBER MEEEEEEE (sobs in between lyrics) THOUGH I HAVE TO SAY GOODBYE (still cry-singing) REMEEEMBER MEEEEEEE (causes an actual flood of just tears)
Bryson Robinson It was amazing. And the ending gave me MAJOR feels. And though it would've been cliché, I wish Miguel would've fell in love with a dead girl. (Did that sound a bit harsh?) It would've been a very powerful forbidden love subplot.
Fernando Marquez I love Cars and Cars 3 and I HATE Cars 2 so here’s my reasons. It replaced Lightning with Mater as the main character which is not as good. Also, it replaced the charm of the original with a Spy genre which doesn’t belong in the franchise at all. It’s okay if you liked Cars 2 but it doesn’t make it even close to the first Cars which I love. Cars is fantastic and it felt like they abandoned the good things about it and made a horrible movie in the sequel. Cars 3 put us back on the right track to me. That’s why Cars 2 is garbage
Inside out. Every so often, you see a trailer for a movie and you just know, it’s going to be good. But on rare instances, when you sit down to see this movie that you know you will enjoy, it ends up even better than you imagined.
You cant beat K Which is why I said "ALMOST", it's a very important word to take into consideration here. Also what I obviously meant was perfect for me personally.
i don't like how when he specifically states "cars 2" as the 1st worst, he then includes the whole trilogy as one of his first sentences on it. you have to pick one or the other.
I will actually respectfully disagree with you about the first Cars. I think there is an overlooked message that the movie has about the character and spirit of small American towns. The town of Radiator Springs I feel really captures that, and it really shows the difference between popular celebrities all across the media (which is Lightning McQueen) and your average everyday American (the citizens of Radiator Springs). Since I live in New Mexico I also really loved the southwestern background and the Route 66 themes they incorporated. The scene when they are driving across the country actually feels like a road trip going through the middle of America. But if you haven't been to the southwest and seen the old Route 66 while taken a cross country road trip, I can understand why you wouldn't understand these parts of the movie. But I will definitely agree that Cars 2 is awful, and the 3rd didn't really seem to interest me.
i was just a kid when cars came out so i loved the development and racing scenes in the story. lightning mcqueen learning to be more humble and learning some new tricks appeal to my general liking for progress
I have other reasons for enjoying the first and third Cars movies. The first film got me into NASCAR in the first place, and the third expanded my horizons and love for the sport drastically. And this is a little Nebraska Town boy who lives in the middle of nowhere!
Maybe cars can use their wheels as legs like animals like in Who Framed Roger Rabbit and maybe even the Cars franchise. But so not in the 2000s Cars mockbusters!!!
I think you were a bit too harsh on the Cars films. I mean, I've only seen the first film, but I thought it was pretty good with its message about small towns. I hear Cars 3 was pretty good. Should I see it?
The difference is what Toy Story put so much potiential in the ideas of being a toy like being rejected, the relationship with toys and humans and more. The story of Cars is less given of an idea of a car and just make it about racing.
The only Pixar film I currently dislike is cars 2. The good little dino is boring and depressing, but if you enjoy nature videos, the background makes up for the lack of character development and plot. Cars 1, at least had a decent plot even though acting and animation wasn't that great. Cars 2 destroyed the cars Franchise because everything was a disaster. Cars 2 injured the companies reputation and made another company from Brazil trying to copy it go out of businesses. Review cars 2 sparky next; you will hate yourself for reviewing, thank you.
