Thank you! I appreciate you watching 🙏🏽. From your point of view, What would you consider to be a hidden gem in the city ??
@Skatrine
@Skatrine 9 месяцев назад
Well, it's not hidden, but the bike paths along both rivers are really beautiful and pleasant to bike on, and they're quite extensive. If you want to rent a BIXI, might as well pay the monthly subscription of $20. It gives you unlimited and free access to bikes for as long as you want. You just have to dock it every 45 minutes to start a new free ride. It's great! Just remember to cancel the subsequent month. You can also take an electric bike if you want to take it easy, but there are no free rides on those.
@travels_wright
@travels_wright 9 месяцев назад
I feel that’s a great recommendation as well! I’m sure there’s a lot to see along these paths 👍🏾. I was aware of the bixi system but I actually didn’t know there was a monthly subscription. That is a very useful tip

This is one of the best intro guides to Montréal I've come across! And I've watched a lot. I'm looking forward to taking my 5th trip this fall to check out the autumn colours and a slightly quieter city. Thanks for investing the time in making quality content I can use and share 😊

I really appreciate your comment! So many hours goes into prepping this style of content so it truly makes me happy that there are others finding good use out of it. Going to Montreal during the autumn season is a solid plan too. The weather stays nice till even early October in some cases and the scenery is just impressive to see with the changing foliage. Autumn is perhaps one of my most favored seasons. I hope you have a great trip 🙌🏾

@travels_wright your vid is great for new ideas, such as the late night dinner cruise. I have a well preserved black on black 2010 Sebring Convertible. Generally, I only cruise around in it during the wee hours because the Montreal metro is wonderfully efficient. I can't wait to ride the R.E.M.!!!

@@travels_wright I went with my boyfriend in the winter of 2014 I believe and I loved the atmosphere and how secluded it was (walking to our room felt like a spa). It also had the biggest bed I've ever seen that was extremely comfortable, old brick walls, a fireplace, jet tub and was situated downtown by the St. Lawrence River. So happy that RU-vid recommended your GR8 channel!👍🏼 New subbie here😀 YT suggested you while I was researching certain aspects of Montréal, where I haven't traveled since 2019. I used to visit there 2x a year, but I need a refresh because I'm headed back to that beautiful city really soon. Thanks for recommending Old Montréal, when some travel hosts poo-poo the area as being touristy. Well, I don't mind the touristy elements because I focus on the history and architecture. And I loooove the restos, bakeries and historic houses that are museums much worth visiting. The Old Port is wonderful, including the lookout and la Grande Roue. That Ferris wheel was constructed for Montréal's 175th birthday in 2017 -- and I missed several chances to ride it before the pandemic, so I'll remedy that this spring.❤🎡❤ Other neigborhoods that I must visit again are le Plateau, la Petite Italie? la Petite Patrie, NDG, Hochelaga et Griffintown. I hope I have time to revisit Atwater market and to see the beautiful animals and marine life i side of the Biodôme. Merci!✌🏼
