Top 32 April Regionals Merva Xros Heart Deck Profile! 

Two points I actually want to go over that I really didn't talk that much about in the video: Why Xros Heart and not Chad? Well the reason is actually very simple. I entered this tournament on a whim and I pretty much just grabbed what I thought was the most meta relevant deck for the format. Chad was my pick back at the Digimon Finals because that format was very BWGX heavy, and I thought this wouldn't be after the ban list. Surprisingly I was very wrong and meet decks that Xros Heart had a very hard match up against that Chad probably would have handeled better, like two Machindramon and two BWG. But we still did it! Is this deck really fair, or nah? An opponent at the end of the tournament told me his dissatisfaction that BWG was hit and Xros Heart not, so it could still run around doing disgusting Merva stuff. But honestly, I don't know if I find the deck that unfair. Thinking about what I played that day, BWGX that kills you in 2 turns with re-direct/block, Security Control with Venus/Dynasmon, Machindramon with infinite block through Analog Man... Like. The only way for this deck to actually win is by going up to ten memory by sacrificing my entire security and doing an all out attack. Like, the turn I 2-0'd my Security control opponent, I had to do 10 separate attacks that turn to win the game, and one more security bomb would've lost me the game. If I didn't have the opportunity to do Merva's On Play and keep my turn I would have lost every single match in the tournament. So my hot take: Merva Xros IS FAIR. If I have have to go to such great length to even inch my way to victory I think the deck is fair, especially in this fast meta.
