I never really thought much about it. BUT I do think about how easy it is to clean the surface I sleep on. NICE LIST. Something some people do not think about enough. Something to think about.
I got to the end of Zenhaven and I'm pretty surprised that you didn't mention anything about this that it can't be for people that have allergies for Latex. Many people with asthma and allergies have as well problems with it and it is really difficult to find a healthy mattress for us! many people may not know about this allergy till gets a mattress like this and then can have even anaphylactic shock!
In the past I have really only purchased a mattress based on firmness. I do suffer from allergies but have only purchase pillows based on this. Moving forward I would definitely consider this
My daughter has bad allergies so I have had to keep that in mind for her with her bed. Im a carpet cleaner and know that giving our matrices a deep extraction cleaning with a good matrices cover is very beneficial. Not only do your skin cells get in your matrices but also that all of your furniture is a filter for your home. So to help with the allergies make sure to deep clean your matrices at least once a year.
There is Puffy floating to the top again. For a foam mattress Puffy seems pretty good. Good certifications on the foam and cover. Avocado also is a good option for folks with allergies and asthma... the certifications are fantastic! I've fortunately never had to have allergies or asthma as part of a consideration for a mattress.
I would have never thought about how our mattress effects our allergies. I dont personally suffer but my husband gets really bad. Im sure every little thing helps
No, I've never thought about getting a new mattress to help with my allergies, because my mattress protector and regular cleaning of the linens seems to take care of everything.
Not really, I usually don't have a problem with allergies, but this past allergy season was so bad that it with one of the 2 times in my life that I did have seasonal allergies. Sometimes I wake up with a stuffy nose too so maybe it is something I should consider.
I have seasonal allergies and unfortunately I live in southern Indiana which is basically the worst area to live in if you have allergies. It never occurred to me that my mattress could be contributing to this problem, I wake up congested all the time and it also causes severe headaches. I would choose the Avocado because it’s all natural and organic, I would need the topper to make it softer though.
I havent thought about it really until watching your video...it makes sense to put that on the list when making a purchase of a new mattress. Thanks for the videos!
Luckily dont have allegies, hence never thought about that factor in mattress. In future though, if a victim of allegies, my choice would be puffy or amerisleep because of their washable cover feature. Thanks Ishan
I dont have a problem with allergies. So I never thought of getting a non allergic mattress. Although I would think more of special pillow needs if it came down to it.
I have allergies to certain types of tree pollen--typically in the spring. However, I never considered a new or different type of mattress would help or alleviate the symptoms from such pollen.
Giveaway: I never even thought about a mattress for asthma or allergies. My granddaughter could benefit from one of these. Passing this review onto my daughter. Thank you for doing this.
I had never thought to get a new mattress to help with my allergies!!! Of course!!! Wow what a good idea. I'm all shocked and excited because I really really suffer from allergies. I get allergy shots twice a month every month just to take the edge off along with benadryl and such. What a good video! Thanks for posting!
The older I’m getting, the more I’m finding myself hexing trees and flowers for their potential responsibility in flaring up my allergies. I’ve honestly never thought to connect the dots to my mattress, but would consider it now that you put in my mind we spend 1/3rd of our lives in our beds. Zenhaven sounds neat how sap from trees to create the hypoallergenic foam, but you hit it on the nose that my side sleeping wouldn’t love the firmness. I think I’d go Puffy or Avacado with the topper. I like the puffy’s removable casing to wash. Hmmm 🤔 decisions decisions.
Giveaway response: I've never considered researching mattresses for those with allergies or asthma-but am glad for the info so I can share with friends who might be interested.
I do not have bad allergies, but I do like the benefits of the mattresses on this review. Amerisleep looks like a very comfortable mattress, that would be the one for me :)
GIVEAWAY: Wow, who would have thought this bed existed! My little cousin suffers from allergies, no matter how much we clean her room or the entire house. We find her itching her eyes until it actually reduces in size because of how intense she rubs her eyes. I will definitely have a discussion based on these mattress and send her this video!
I use to suffer from allergies a long time ago when you get the nose drip and the whole shabang and l have suffered from asthmatic symptoms in the past wishi knew about these whenl needed them. Love the fact that you put these reviews out there because these conditions when you're going through it it's no fun
Giveaway response: I do have allergies and asthma, and I will look into the avocado. I never really considered getting a mattress to help with allergies or asthma, but is is on my mind now.
Which one is best for allergy asthma and chemical sensitivity plus spine injuries. My new mattress is off gasing causing headaches and nose bleeds eyes swelling
Giveaway: I do have allergies and I have thought about this as far as pillow purchases (used latex pillows for years) but not really for mattress purchases because other things take priority for me (softness, support)
Giveaway: My son is getting a new mattress and your videos are very helpful! He does have bad allergies and asthma and we have his current mattress and pillows in dust encasements so these sound amazing!
Giveaway: No, I have never considered getting a new mattress to help with allergies, but then again I dont have allergy problems at all at night. My husband does, so perhaps something we should consider...
Giveaway: Allergies are something we struggle with like crazy in my state! I never thought of getting a new mattress over it, though. I just get air purifiers and focus on pillows that reduce allergens.
Yes. I suffer from asthma and seasonal allergies and always looking for hypoallergenic pillows, mattress covers, etc. Sleeping in a mattress that won't make my allergies worse is a must!
Giveaway: not too much since my allergies are typically just late summer/fall. I've looked into other "best" lists that I was putting ahead of allergies.
Giveaway: I've never though about choosing a mattress that could help with my allergies and asthma. But now that I think about it, I do have a mattress cover that is supposed to be dust mite and moisture resistant. It's easy to take off and wash!
Giveaway: I have not thought about getting a new mattress due to allergies but now that I watched this video it makes me think that it might help my son to get a different mattress. He has both fall and spring allergies. Thank you for the information!
Giveaway: I don’t have seasonal allergies but it never occurred to me that this is something to consider when shopping for a mattress. Never too old to learn something new.
I have thought about getting a new mattress to help with allergies and mostly I think I am interested in a latex mattress of some sort- like the Zenhaven or the Avocado with a pillow top!
I have allergies, but I don't feel like they are bad enough to be a deciding factor in my mattress choice. Then again, I might have just gotten used to them.
Giveaway: We haven't really thought too much about a bed for allergies because we don't suffer from them. It is good to know that there are options for this though. Thx for the review
Giveaway: No i have never thought about getting an asthma/allergy friendly mattress and i do have asthma...i guess i wasnt even aware that option existed until i watched this video. Thank you for all of the information and it sure is nice to know that there are allergy/asthma friendly beds available now.
Giveaway: I havnt typically dealt with allergies and don’t have asthma but this is definitely something I’ve been thinking about more. Something is causing me personal health issues and it could definitely have something to do with our old bed.
Giveaway: my daughter and I both have asthma and allergies and I have absolutely considered this but I was never able to find a whole lot of info about this subject. Thanks for being awesome and reviewing so many great beds :)
Giveaway: I haven’t actually ever considered getting a new mattress due to allergies, but having spent most of my life living in AK, come the end of summer when the cottonwood trees start to fall I am a puffy, itchy, mess. Believe it or not, the summers do get quite warm up there so we sleep with the windows open, which I know does not help my case...but now I’m considering the fact that even when it’s allergy off season for me, the things that had been trapped in my mattress over the years probably prolonged my discomfort
Giveaway: I’ve never considered allergies when buying a mattress. I always keep my mattress covered with a waterproof mattress protector which I can easily remove to wash, so it’s not an issue.
Yess I have allergies all year round and take medication for that everyday so I’m definitely considering getting a mattress that could help with that ♡ Very helpful, as always
Giveaway: no, I have never thought about changing my mattress to help with my allergies. I bet it would help a lot though... I wonder how many dust mites are in my bed 🤧
I have not previously thought about a mattress for allergies, we just need a new mattress overall. Nice to see the options though! The amerisleep mattress with the Celliant and washable cover sounds good.
Giveaway: I personally have not but that is more because I am fortunate enough to not suffer from those types of allergies. My oldest son had some pretty severe asthma *and allergies) when he was young and I bought special expensive mattress covers and pillowcases to help him but never thought to replace his mattress
Fortunately I do not suffer from allergies and grew out of my childhood asthma...my partner however does have seasonal allergies and breathing issues so this review was helpful. I wish more mattresses had removable and washable covers!
Great video. I normally vacuum my mattress every month because of lung issues, this is a great idea, remove the cover and wash it as often as you like. I found the Amerisleep mattress the best fit for me, removable cover and hybrid options.
As a seasonal allergy sufferer I have never thought about getting a new mattress to help with my allergies. TIP: always use a mattress protector and regularly replace your pillow should help!
Giveaway: I have thought about a bit to help with allergies but I'm more interested in bed that best resists mold when one lives in in more humid area.
Personally I don’t struggle with asthma or allergies however I still think it’s extremely beneficial and good for health in general to have a mattress made from good resources✌🏼
Giveaway: Yes, this is really important to consider. As you said we spend 1/3 of our life in bed. I don't struggle with allergies but know they can be a dust trap!
I hadn't thought about getting a new mattress for asthma but I had considered it for allergies. I had talked to my doctor about some reasons why seasonal allergies might be hitting me a little harder than usual and that was one of her suggestions.
Giveaway : holy moly! I never thought about this before. I’ve had asthma my whole life and never considered my sleeping habits or mattress before. So cool. I will keep this in mind. Thank you for this amazing video. Keep up the awesome vids.
Giveaway: YES! I think it's nice to have hypoallergenic things like my Schnauzer even though I do not have allergies. I think about these things to do others like my besty who does have allergies.
Great review! I completely understand and agree. The need to ensure your sleep quality is not made unhealthy by allergens is high on my list. Mattress covers are ok to a degree, but don't completely work and dust particles affect pillows, sheets and covers as well.
