I like 'Courier New', monospace font with comments in italics

It doesn't have ligatures though, does it?

Hey. What are your thoughts on MonoLisa, Gintronic and Codelia fonts ? Would appreciate it .

Can you name some free fonts exactly similar to Monolisa

@@Yesterday_i_ate_rat I have used Source Code Pro which is free and is 88 percent like MonoLisa (excluding the gothics like monolisa). Another free font is Maple Mono. Also if you like Fira Code then there is Commit Mono.

Hey John! Between the 3, I prefer MonoLisa, seems the easiest to read 👌

The following point is irrelevant: > True italics with serif: Having a clear distinction between the regular and italic form of the font with serif can help distinguish between certain sections of code like comments and types. Reason: Most people are using color to distinguish comments and types. Italics at best could be described as a enhancement on top of that. It's easy enough to see this for yourself. Just turn off italics for comments / types and see what happens. Provided they have syntax coloring, italics has no impact. Taking this into account would mean Fira Code, Monoid, and Iosevka become acceptable options.

I just went through 130 themes and only 8 of them have the same color for variables and types (~6%), so that's more of an edge case. None use italics as a differentiator when the color is the same. I still find true italics valuable, but provided a good syntax highlighting scheme, serif is more of an enhancement than a validation criterion. Thanks for the comment 👍
