Yes!!!! I was curious whether they were still around after practically killing off the nest in my headboard. I did exactly what you suggested using a high heat dryer across the surface of my mattress. After about 10 minutes they started coming out not many though because I think I had gotten the majority when I attacked the nest with acetone and vicks vaporub.
Acetone + Heat with heat dryer seeams like a good strategy for bed bugs. I would also add a trap at the legs of each bed (How to do it the cheap way here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-s_uL6zh82mw.html ) Also you can also add a mattress encasement and Diatomaceous Earth (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D8TU_wWUSJw.html ) and it should do the trick against bed bugs.
