Shintaro's 'shuffling' is to be desired, it looks like he's shuffling but he actually isnt really randomizing his deck that would really urk me as his opponent
@Petanifer

Watch around 33:20. He cheated by shuffling until beast ring was the very bottom card; he looks again and again just to put it there. Then his "insufficient shuffle" was when he only cut the deck in half. This caused it to appear at the top once Tord re-cut the deck. Straight up cheating with mal-intent and he should've been disqualified. No wonder they gave him a harsh penalty for the final match. It was because he consistently acts sketchy.

It's called "stacking" and according to tcg rules it's a DQ. So the fact this kept going after he got caught and warned earlier is bullshit

@Rohan Nambiar but still him stacking his deck to where certain cards fall even if the opponent shuffles is a DQ offence. So this kid got off lucky.

this could've gone either way, shintaro's list is just beautiful, and tord's list is actually good. but i'm not salty so now that shintaro won he better win the whole damn thing, go shintaro
@Petanifer
@Petanifer 5 лет назад
I think tord's list could benefit from fire crystal. He actually ran out of energy towards the end game 1 without victini. There's always fire in the discard pile especially with the heavy dedenne line. The synergy with ninetales is also great. I just played his list at locals and did great with it, only lost to keldao gx. but I noticed sometimes that you don't have the energy needed for welder AND ninetales. I could've won against keldao gx had I had enough energy late game. Once victini is out of play, you need another way to get them back. Just my thoughts after watching him play and playing it myself

He had a bad hand on his last match hence causing those 16 fire energies at the discard pile. With 1 Fire energy as prized which he can't do anything on Victini.

@ShoeCrewTV

I don't understand why play so timid. One thing I've learned playing the meta is you having to start smacking motherfuckers. Decks move so fast you can't allow your opponent to keep loading up on monsters with energy. Tord should have applied pressure. He also should have put in a fire crystal cause yes you have dratini but you have so much going on you need to be able to get your energy back at anytime.

@chopblocker89
@chopblocker89 5 лет назад
If he flips tails I bet you say the exact opposite. Easy to criticize as a spectator.
@JorisMKW
@JorisMKW 5 лет назад
@@chopblocker89 Uhh no, as I literally said: I was rooting for Tord UNTIL he decided not to flip. I didn't know how the rest of the game would progress. It was such an easy decision: if it would have been heads he would have won that game, since then he would have been really far ahead in the prize race, would have ko'd like the only attacker in play of his opponent and most importantly played around beast ring, all at the cost of the opponent needing 1 less energy to ko reshizard. Even if it would have been tails then Tord would still have a great chance to win that game. Retreating that reshizard was so expensive and it honestly didn't surprise me that he lost that game eventually
@chopblocker89
@chopblocker89 5 лет назад
@@JorisMKW he is a very proven and consistent player, so you "switching sides" due to a single decision seems extreme, especially when you the spectator has more info than the player. I am just pointing out that its easy to say "so stupid" as a spectator.
