No, a Boomer here/Old School type🤣If it matures well I would be interested although the newer CPUs for quality AI will every expensive. I do have one of many concerns though - Internet Security - We all know why I believe.
Brett, I do not use AI tools at all and yes, I am cynical of AI as it makes us lazy and not use our noggins as God has given us. It might be useful in a pinch for those who are procrastinators. Plus develop bad habits such as procrastination.
I don't care whether people call AI overhyped, underperforming or underwhelming-I think they're useful. I spent 15 minutes searching for a comparison value on Wikipedia and my search engine. Then I asked ChatGPT and it pointed me to the exact answer I wanted, and when asked it told me why Wikipedia didn't have it yet, and suggested a list of keywords for me search engine in future.
I use AI in photo apps where I find it can sometimes be beneficial but definitely not always. It has some intelligence but very little. For day to day stuff I don't use it at all and cannot see any benefit. I am not sure how it can progress as the numbers of people that are likely to use it is always going to be very low. I have tried it but it just made everything take longer for worse results. I know it will improve but lets face it, how many people are going to see a true benefit?
Not using it much, but it has huge potential once it matures a bit next decade. It could lead to a massive increase in productivity and therefore quality of life.
