It's just a different medium of artistic compositions. Essential oils from varied climates and limited sources pulled from countries all over the world and combined in minute and intentional ways to create complex and layered formulas that evoke very varied personal and emotional responses in everyone that experiences them. No diff than the paints that combine in a painting and do the same using vision. Or the foods that combine in a Michelin star meal to do the same using taste. Or the instruments that combine to create a symphony using sound.
Encre Noire is an amazing fragrance for the price. I started wearing this for fall and winter and it's a nice well rounded fragrance for daily wear during these seasons. It smells much higher quality compared to more expensive options.
Zino is my signature scent. Has been for about 4 years now. Not a compliment getter, but definitely a true gentleman’s fragrance for “old school “ type men. Great 👍🏻 video sir
By the way, I recently learned that Zino is going to be discontinued so grab them up now before the price skyrocket ps. That could be a year or two out, but I wouldn’t wait.

Try to find a vintage bottle. It will have script lettering on the bottle and not block letters. I have no problem with longevity. It’s not that much more expensive if you can find a deal on eBay. I get the .25 oz Mini bottles and put them in my own atomizer. (The bottle that he showed is the more modern version).
@@masonb9788 Believe it or not, the bottle that I had was from 2004. Sadly, the longevity was terrible on my skin. Perhaps, it's just my skin chemistry? :(

Mont blanc, Starwalker cost me $20 and it smells great. Explorer is in the top 5 of my collection regardless of price. I think Azzaro Wanted is a great buy too.

Whenever a Fragrance 'reviewer' says 'Most people know about this one...' etc..etc.. You have to understand that's a qualifiable statement. Basically it means everyone in the Fragrance 'COMMUNITY' knows about a certain fragrance. I say that to say... Don't let that deter you from purchasing a particular fragrance. You have to realize first off.... There are MILLIONS of people in this country.... I would say only 5%-10% of men know anything about fragrances or wear cologne. Most men wear AXE or some type of body spray. As an example... There are 8 guys I work with and i'm the ONLY one who wears fragrance. So...
My cheap favorites are Usher-“UR” and Mont Blanc-“Starwalker”. I very rarely hear these 2 get mentioned. I receive compliments every time I wear them and I like them.

Still love Explorer. Recent surprise, blind buy banger for me was Jacomo de Jacomo. Stuff is amazing, bit 80's vibe, total powerhouse, and lasts. Highly recommend
Every time i see Zino featured in a video, I feel the need to warn people. I won't say it smells bad, because some people obviously like it, but I blind bought it and hated it. It smells like an old man. If old man is what you're looking for, you might like it. I'm in my 30s and it doesn't work for me.
I blind bought it as well, and I keep waiting for the day it'll finally grow on me. Hasn't happened yet though. Hahaha! Same with Guerlain Vetiver and Encre Noire. Bought them both only to come to the harsh realization that vetiver just isn't my jam. Smells like old man to me. Luckily, all of these are affordable, so I didn't lose too much.
Oh I just bought that Encre Noire, and I struggle to like it but that 'old castle furniture' smell is something I can't get out of my head. I just don't like to smell like a 300 year old vampire..😈👹. Some people say it smells like death 💀☠
Please make a "Top Value Fragrances" video. Beast-mode? High quality? Large quantity? High concentration? Check, check, check and check. It's easy to find a fragrances that meet SOME of those criteria. But that meet ALL of those criteria? That's a video worth making, and a video worth watching.
Why all the “Creed’s Aventus” but not Mont Blanc’s Explorer? Whenever you talk about Creed Aventus you very frequently put it that way. And it’s all I can hear 😆 I’m not really banging on you, but it’s all I can hear anytime you talk about Aventus 😂
I own Halloween Man X and really like sweeter fragrances, would SF Uomo or Uomo Signature be redundant to own? Especially considering I would be build buying due to lack of local availability.
Encre Noire is basically a blast of Vetiveryl Acetate. You have to like the note a lot to appreciate the fragrance... I personally wish it was more complex and had more to it.
Explorer's longevity isn't amazing but it projects like crazy. CDNI is the more accurate clone, but Explorer is much more appealing to the average nose.
Lalique Encre Noire is definitely a masterpiece imo. Love Ferrari Noble Fig for Summer. Davidoff Zino is very animalic on my skin but a true classic. I'd also put Oscar De La Renta Gentleman and Pour Lui on the list both brilliant frags for very reasonable prices.
I was very hesitant about buying Explorer at first, but I got a deal over at my local JCPenny’s. They had 2 bottles of 100ml explorers on sale for 30$ ea. Bought both for 65ish after taxes. It was worth every penny. When I got home I really thought it wouldn’t be able to hold a candle to creeds Aventus, but MAN that sucker can perform 😎
Davidoff Cool Water Mild Deodorant (lasts 8 hrs) cost 12 -15 dollars, Mandarina Duck Black and Cool Black costs 22-25 dollars, nothing beats these for me.
To me the OG Encre Noire is actually more versatile than the Sport. Have worn the OG even in very hot humid weather, and it's simply awesome. The Sport to me approaches a bit what I'd call bugspray territory, does not get far there fortunately, but it approaches it. Another by Nathalie Lorson, Z&V This is Him, goes further in that direction to me and I don't really like that one because of it. Still I like the Encre Noire Sport, but have worn it less than the A L'Extreme and the OG, so for me the Sport is actually the least versatile. Zino definitely one great fragrance at an unbelievably low price. It's one of the few bottles I have backups for (others being the OG Encre Noire itself, Burberry London, and Zara Warm Black). There is also a Zino bar deodorant which I am currently using, also worth recommending. Other high quality bang-for-your-buck fragrances are (needless to say) Zara Warm Black, Burberry London, also Bentley for Men Absolute, Lalique pour Homme Equus, Issey Miyake L'Eau Bleue d'Issey, and Guerlain Vetiver. I'd even include Mugler Cologne. The 300 ml bottle can be found for less than €60 at least in Europe, in some cases even in the gift set with that bottle plus a shower gel. In either case, 100 ml for less than €20!
MB explorer smells great but lacks performance... It's one of the worst fragrances i've ever tried in terms of both longevity/projection categories. I really hope MB will launch an intense version, that would be amazing
I LOVE that fragrance! I get so many compliments on it. It’s so cheap that I wear it to the gym frequently. I got two compliments last week on it from a girl and her mom I assume.

I jumped on the hype train this week and grabbed a 60 mL of Explorer from fragrancenet for $30, and I'm happy with it. I threw in a 100 mL tester of Alien Man for ~$30 to get the bill above the threshold for free shipping, and I fell in love. It's my favorite blind buy ever. I'm so glad the fragrance community hated it, because I probably wouldn't have pulled the trigger if not for the bargain bin price tag.
Mercedes Benz Intense, in my opinion, is another great bang for your buck. It also apparently gives a Dior Fahrenheit vibe. I've never smelt Fahrenheit, but MB Intense is great.
Checkout the street fighter fragrance. It's less than $20 but I think it's beast. It last on my skin for hours. Projection is fair 30 minutes to an hour. I love the smell, especially when it starts to dry down. It's now my casual fragrance. I ended up buying another just as a collection.
In South Africa all the fragrances that are shown in this video are sold for around $100. The distributors that bring the products mark up these fragrances to the same price. We have online stores however they same price as the shops. Maybe $10 cheaper however they charge you for delivery. We have a lot of online stores that sell fakes very cheap but no stores /online that offer such discounts on originals. Always been this way.
I think a great video idea would be “cheap fragrances with the best presentation”.. something for guys who don’t want to spend a ton of money but still want to have a classy looking bottle design in their room/on their shelf for people to see. Halloween man x is a love of mine but I can say that I feel a bit more sophisticated looking at a $25 bottle of Mont Blanc individuel. Anyone else get that feeling?
Don't usually make suggestions but a recent question I had that doesn't seem to be covered much is the "least perfumy" fragrances. Not necessarily most natural (though thats fine) but fragrances that don't immediately read as "wearing perfume."
Zino is amazing, feels very relevant. Again Encre Noir is deep and delicious though I prefer the Extreme version. I wouldn't be surprised to see the entire Bentley for Men line here, intense is godlike, I've been wearing Absolute before the hype kicked in, Black edition is a great office frag, even Azure is worthy. Really looking forward to getting Silverlake. Curious to see any mid priced ($/£40 - 60) designers that punch way above their weight.
Referring to the Zeo from Davidoff I would like to know more about the lavender note. Is it a sharp and piercing as the lavender note in the opening of Beau de jour? Tom Ford's boat ashore is a great fragrance to be sure but you have to be able to muster through that really sharp piercing lavender note right up at the front. If you can do that then the dry down is where the magic happens. So that's said, how does this one compare with respect to that sharpness of the lavender in the opening of Beau De Jour?
Encre noir was one that i blindly bought when you recommended it early this year. I really like it and it’s so different. However. I like the sport version better. I like it so much I got two bottles!
