Tested elixir yesterday in a shop at around 2pm, it’s now 30 hours later and I can still smell a pretty strong trace of it on my arm. The longevity is real.
Yes, had a little test sample and just sprayed one spray on my neck, and I have to say it was really incredible! My whole bed and all my clothes from that day smelled several days afterwards. So it really projected onto all surfaces and the whole Noon that day I wore it, I was dizzy because of the strength. Really insane.
Totally agree with the classification! I've tried them all but I ended up buying a 200ml bottle of EDP. Elixir got in the 2nd place but it was lacking the freshness of the EDP. Living in a warm country like Greece freshness comes handy. The best use for the EDP is summer evenings and nights. Great video, Ashton!
Elixir is #1 for me by far. I got a free .3 oz of EDP with my purchase of Elixir from Macy's and I like it a lot more than the EDT, but there's no way it surpasses Elixir for me. Maybe it's the time of year because it is fall/winter at the moment, but I absolutely love Elixir and it's the first fragrance that I want to get a second bottle of before the first even runs out.
That’s great that you like it. Supporting Dior is great. I still think it takes a back seat to every other Sauvage though. I only have Parfum for the sake of collecting the line up 🤷♂️
I highly prefer the smell of the Parfum but it does not project for me. It does however stay on the skin and clothing for much longer than almost anything in my collection. And I only have a travel size
I feel like the whole line is great but it’s all redundant. I feel like no one person should own more than 3 (unless they are a collector). I’d say either VCS, EDP and elixir or EDT, Parfum and elixir.

the VCS gets annoying and is very boyish. parfum i found to be the best price for a very mature scent and you’ll find it the most heavily discounted compared, plus women go the craziest with it
Sauvage elixir smells the best to me and it’s beast longevity. But I have gotten the most compliments from any frag I my collection from sauvage edp. Around 70 frags.
I got all 5 and been wearing them for quite sometime now. Except for the elixir which I just got yesterday. Where do you guys walk and get compliments on the perfume you wear 😭😂. People where I live doesn’t know how to do that😂
Everyone has different personalities, some want to stand out, others are more laid back. I went with the Parfum in the end. It’s perfect when the seasons transition from winter to spring and summer to fall. I only owned Polo Red 8 years ago, now I’m 30 and wanted something more sophisticated.
@@femijoel5010 only my girlfriend and her sister but that’s it. I live in Japan so cologne and perfume is almost like a foreign concept to them. Of course I keep it subtle with 3 sprays max.
Sauvage in general is a lady killer to the fullest, mass pleasing to the fullest and I love it to the fullest. The EDP and EDT have gotten me insane amounts of compliments since back in the days of me not even wearing cologne regularly. The only Sauvage that isn’t so appealing is the Parfum. But the Elixir sheeeeeessshhh it is unbelievable I absolutely love it and it lasts forever. No literally.
I get that it's a bit TOO common these days, but it is a bit annoying when people in the community describe the EDT like it's AXE body spray. You simply can't deny that this DNA is a timeless masterpiece at this point..

I bought the EDP for a wedding and I can't get over how great it smells. 1 spray for me is the perfect amount to get through the day. I might consider the EDT version at some point, but my nose prefers the EDP with the vanilla.
Just bought Dior EDP last night (late to the party) so this video is excellent timing.. As far as the EDP attracting to mostly middle aged to older guys, I don't know about that but im a man in my 20s and think the EDP smells more put together then the EDT as I have tried the EDT as a sample. I live in a country with almost all year summer (31-34 degree celcius) and I use Sauvage EDP. Going to get Elixir especially to support Johnny Depp 🤭 and yes the price is TGDH 😂
This is exactly how I would rank them. EDP and Elixir are the best 2. If you could only buy 1 get the EDP because it's more versatile than Elixir. But Elixir is amazing. It's darker and more mature.
It's nice to see a video where Dior Savauge isn't being hated on. The stuff smells great, people enjoy it, and it lasts better than most other fragrances I've come across. I currently only have the EDT, and love it. Well I do have a little mini bottle of the EDP that they gave me when I picked up the EDT from Dillard's. I hate dabbers so I've really only smelt that from the cap.
Sauvage is amazing, I would say it's my second favorite compared to my all time #1, Armani Mania. I'm sad I ran out of Mania, but really REALLY like Sauvage.
Watched this video and tried the elixir and the edp in store. Loved the elixir way more so I bought it. EDT or elixir would probably be my number one and two.
Elixir for me but it is a special occasion wear. It's strictly for the colder months and when I'm dressed up to impress. It's not a casual wear at all.
I haven't tried Elixir and the Parfums. Version of this fragrance (cool spray as well for that matter), however I like the EDP more than the EDT. I want to sample the Parfums but the Elixir sure looks like a blind buy.
EDT is best in my opinion all others are too strong and give me a headache. Although I do love elixir as well but too strong still but very nice scent.😊
parfum by far is the best i sprayed it on one morning then the next day i took a shower and used body wash and i still smelled the dior from yesterday. Amazing performance
From all the research I've been doing this is one of those fragrances that people in general seem to be in love with the EDT. For whatever reason, the EDT seems to get the most love out of all of them. If I ever decide to buy one I think I'll go with the EDT
The EDT And EDP Are The Most Versatile, I Also Wear The Club De Nuit Urban Man Elixir That Starts Of Like A Metallic Version Of EDP And Settled Down To The Sauvage Elixir.
I think best is to get EdT for summer and elixir for winter. Instead of the EdP you might just go for BDC EdP, it does the same but better. Agree on the parfum, too bad that the pefromance is abysmal, since the smell itself is quite nice.
The Very Cool Spray as a fragrance is underrated for summer in my opinion but if we look at Jeremy’s test what was it? Like you get about a quarter or even less of actual juice/sprays on average when compared to the EDT 🤷♂️ but I own both because my daughter loves them. When I wear the EDT I never get a compliment (I don’t get beast mode from it) but whenever I wear the Cool Spray during summer I almost always get a compliment 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Having had a bottle of edt since 2016 (used everyday and only needed a few sprays / 200ml bottle) that got stolen, replaced with a edp, don’t see too much difference between them. Bought the clone of db cosmetics to spray as much as I want or mix it and such. Don’t care if it’s overdone, it’s my favourite I’ve had. The second pick is the paco xs pure night since it’s cheaper, performs as well.
Have you bought Chanel Superleggera yet? What do you think of it? A couple women at Macys were loving it including my wife. The lady working sprayed me and I can still smell it 12 hours later
I have some of the EDP, it's okay, it's quite strong though. I tried some Mr. Burberry EDP and I really liked it, but it was gifted to me, so I wanted to try something new, because I need to spare what I have of my mr burberry lol
to be honest after having the EDP and Elixir..........i feel like the EDP is very harsh and chemical smelling. I dont hate it......but the Elixir for me is the king of them all...
It's all about age ! I think Francois demachy created that line according to age not more , had that feeling when they released the parfum edition and now I'm 100% convinced especially after the "elixir" my favorite from Dior since the early fahrenheit.! It really took me back in time just like the food critic remembering his grandma's ratatouille 😂😂
Guys I finally bought Dior Sauvage EDP and I don't know if it's a bad bottle but this stuff smells awful, on skin, on paper, in air, on clothes. Smells super synthetic and metallic. My wife says she likes it but wasn't wowed by it. I'm a little bit of a frag head so I can appreciate complex fragrance but this is the worst designer scents I've ever purchased (if it's not a bad batch or has been over exposed to sun or heat) I bought it from Macy's so it should be authentic but there's always a possibility it's not real. Just as background I probably have 30 designer scents currently.
San Fierro perfumes are a fantastic discovery for me. I loved the variety of scents they offer, and the price is a real bonus. They stay on the skin for a long time, making me a happy customer
If the price was the same which Dior Sauvage would u pick? With Macy's sale of 15% off and a $15 off in rewards. Elixir was pretty close so i got that over the others

I have this silly idea of transferring its contents into another regular perfume bottle to solve the issue about the spray bottle of VCS. Anyone? Will it compromise the amount and the scent? Anyone who did it?😂
I have every one of these. And what Ash said about the Parfum is quite nice. I on the other hand don’t understand why it even exists 🤷♂️ It’s the one bottle that I regret buying, because by the end of the day it smells 90% like the EDP, but not as strong in the projection/longevity departments. I opted to buy 2 bottles of Elixir, and those are AMAZING!
@Trapped Within the System I mean the Parfum version. I get enormous longevity and great projection even though the projection isn't what the EDT is. The ambroxan & pepper is toned down. The vanilla has the edition of tonka working with it. It's a more mature & well blended Sauvage.

You really struggled trying to define your list huh? Can't blame you. I do live in a Mexico place as warm as Arizona (Monterrey NL, 2 hour away from Mc Allen TX) so I stick to the EDT and Very Cool Spray most of the times.
