Urgh I wish boots and balls were cheaper. I get inflation but still, elite boots for almost 300 dollars and 150 for match balls? Thought football was for regular folks, way more accessible compared to golf etc haha
i know for sure they have raised their prices a lot🤨, look at used shoe stores (it hasn't even been used, it's been on display so it's called "old") they sell mercs elite for 20 dollars, we were just fooled by the selling agent, man 😅😬😕
That's why I advise you why if you start playing football, buy things that are not too expensive but give you a not bad playing experience. Even my friends bought a fake champion league ball, but hell mann it was too good for its price of 10 dollars 🙂😶🤷♂️
@@thefootballguy7 yeah. I can afford it now that I am older, but still it does bother me and I feel bad for the kids who want these. Like I grew up idolizing predator boots and drool over Gerrard's adidas ad. Now I am not sure any of middleschool kids or high school kids can afford any of it
@@KeeperCharlie It's not something you have to pay for, but it's important whether it's worth it or not. You spend 300 bucks on a pair of boots that can tear at any time and don't have the money to buy them back, and they will even look different after just 1 or 2 matches, big brands like Nike or Adidas were so cunning when they chose top superstars like messi or ronaldo to advertise expensive boots for them, and It made the kids like I used to be go crazy. and think about them all the time 😌⚽️👊

@@NightWiz11 everybody's definition of best differs greatly. Depending on the shape of your feet. For me personally, almost nothing they sell fits me better than other brands from Japan which they don't carry as they only have Mizuno
The nike premier league ball is still very good in 2024 and deserves to be on this list, but they need a new breakthrough in technology. I wondered, why do I have to spend 150 bucks for a ball that has no new technology after all this time other than a little differenct graphic outside. On the contrary, I see that at Adidas there are always changes in technology and design, from the World Cup, Euro to UCL, there is always newness and excitement every time you get your hands on their new ball model. I haven't tried Puma and Select balls yet so I can't comment. If possible in the future, I would also like to try it.
I have been lucky enough to play matches with 4 of these... my favourite choice is the Puma Orbita 1. 🔥 I can't explain it but the the mix of light weight, spongey yet firm, grippy texture and cog-shaped panels just seem to make it such a nice ball to play with on all weather, both astro and grass. The select is top tier and so are Adidas. I haven't tried the nike option but I don't tend to like Nike balls.
SELECT has some great stuff going on over there. I bought the SELECT Atlanta DB for my daughters who are 10 and 14 and they absolutely love it!!! It’s their first real size 5 match ball. It’s actually designed to be the lightest softest ball allowed by FIFA standards so it is super easy on my 10 year olds feet even when we train barefoot. I ya e to say I don’t mind using it when I’m coaching them. I now recommend it to any younger girls who want to use a legit match ball. Also that’s what we use on our church FC women’s and co-Ed teams. For price point and quality Select is crushing it. If you haven’t tried one yet I’d recommend doing so. They $30-$50 range balls usually has something for everyone at least to get started and see what you like. I’d go with a model that Double Bonded!!! Great video man and I’m now subscribed as well.⚽️⚒🏴⚒⚽️ #COYI #24/25HAMMERS #ComeOnYouIrons #IThinkIAmIKnowIAmImWestHamtiliDie #selectSELECTforyournextFOOTY
I'm a coach who has worked professionally and can say without hesitation that Hummel have a great ball expecially if you're a technic coach like myself. It though is disappointing they don't. havd a Suze three then it is mitre imo.
UZ is ultrasound. TB is thermal bonding. It refers to how the panels are fused together. They're very similar in performance/play, although technically UZ is slightly better.
hey @unisport , in your description box it says "select brilliant". haven´t we learned from you that it´s "brillant"? 🙂regarding the balls themselves it has to be select/derbystar leading the pack by a mile. the touch is out of this world.
It's funny that all of these balls are so high priced and pretty terrible durability (particularly on artificial grass for adult men) and are mainly made for marketing purposes. If you look at the elongated triangle points on the stars of the ucl ball or the meets of the elongated sections of the fussballiebe, those are particularly susceptible to peeling, and the artwork will wear off on AG. Puma orbita 1 is just terrible manufacturing design...those irregular cartwheel shapes just do not fit well together, require a ton of glue, and will easily break/peel under heavy use. Also, for anyone who hasn't played with an official match ball, they're all a bit firmer than the practice ones and take some getting used to. Nike flight ball has valve issues which break prematurely and is quite a hard/heavy ball to hit even among pro match balls. Select ball has particularly nondurable casing particularly on artificial grass so I will not be purchasing any of these overpriced balls. Honestly for a durable match ball, the old puma la liga accelerate/adrenalina 2021-2022 was great, although it is quite a hard strike and takes some getting used to but really does ping when you hit it right. It has larger panels so slightly fewer grooves and more movement, but not a crazy few like a jabulani or anything. I think the praise for Select is just JayMike showing his Danish bias since that's the brand everyone uses there since it's a Danish company. Having played with select balls growing up, I am not a fan.
Please do a review on pumas balls cuz there insanely low made quality glue coming out of seems I just looked at a new Copa final ball and legit corners are scrunched in and there’s a shadow on the ball because that panels corner is raised up not even anymore 😂 for a ball that’s msrp for over $100 💀
Also stickiness is not there at all compared to adidas ball I can one hand hold an adidas ball out but I can’t with the puma mind you I have about regular size hands. Things like this would be better to review because I bought the Orbita 1 ball because of your video review and I’m very dissatisfied.

I'm in the market for a decent ball. £150 is way too much though. Especially when the ball gets kicked over and is lost. Can you recommend a football for 3g pitches that doesn't break the bank, around the 30 euro/£30 mark?
Take care of your ball. $10 or $150. If it goes into the woods go after it. Not like the skin is camo print. Lol. But $150 is expensive for a ball I agree.
@@Kai88988 TB thermo bond, UZ ultra sonic, I think the difference is in terms of water absorbtion, the TB absorbs less and is great in winter. I read This info from their website
No you don't.official balls have a different feel. You have a lot of brand replicas that you can try. I have a 30€ UCL Adidas ball that is nowhere near the Official Select that I play with.
Jesus is coming soon and He loves you dearly. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”. Come to Jesus He loves you so much.
Honestly… you Are exactly right, the Ball is Great when new… but select has the worste Service ever… so don‘t buy Select! Mine looses Pressure After one year and just 20 hours playing… no warranty… rubbish Take the others…
