I think it’s cool you do the warehouse reviews. Every other company takes the Anthony from Revzilla approach. Don’t get me wrong I think revzilla does a nice job with product breakdowns but it’s nice to have a new style. So keep the warehouse element and it’s cool to see the packaging which we never see on other channels. 👍🏼👍🏼
BTOSports dude please answer me this question, what are your thoughts on the fox 180 boots? Are they waterproof? I want to use them for enduro, Thanks!
@@micaelmunoz5417 Well, no true mx boot is really advertised as "waterproof", in my opinion most of them do help keep water out until a certain point. Some boots advertise "water resistance" such as the Tech 7 enduro boot" - You may want to look at some Gaerne boots or other Enduro boots, that have a tougher sole for enduro, assuming its a sport you do often.
What the real drag for me is all the graphics on Motocross and ATV stuff is way too cheesy. I just want a simple pair of boots simple pair of pants that don't advertise all this flashy stupid graphics. I wish it was stuff more similar to the hondaline stuff that came out in the 80s and 90s very simple
I had the fly maverick and they have just started falling apart after 2 years would recommend if you can buy buckles I've broke 2 of them in under 6 months
The FXR boots have a very high toe box which makes shifting difficult at least for me, honestly the Thor, Fox and Alpinestar all look good but the Fox look to have a lower toe box , how are the other ones ?
I'm just getting my first bike later on Today, looking for an entry-level boot that will fit me. I'm a big dude and have wide feet. Do you think the Oneal Rider Boots would work well? Or what's another boot in this price range that has a wide toebox and room for wider calves?
Very similar in look that's for sure , other than the 3 buckles to the 4 on the Tech 5. If you are racing and generally aggressive in that aspect, you'll get more protection out of the Tech 5. Now the Tech 3 is slightly lighter and flexible, but that's due to the protection difference. The Tech 3 in my opinion, is a fantastic option for those looking for lasting quality in entry level boots.
I bought tech 3, they are good protection, I air them out after used , then wash w/ cold water,no chemicals. Scrub w/ a old toothbrush, really rinse & scrub corners & under buckles, hang on broomstick upside down , then rub on mink oil w/ green scrub pad ( & gloves!) They stay in awesome shape for ages.what kills boots isn't using them in slop, but letting them stay damp&/ or covered in earth.a couple days damp & muddy will really deteriorate them.
Just bought women’s version. Unboxing opinion is that they are super tight and I didn’t think I had big calves. I’m a size up and struggled getting all buckles down as their farthest capacity. They probably just need to break in but my other concern is it fitting over my gear. I’ll update after I ride
You ride your dirtbike with Nike shoes? You ride motocross tracks, hardcore enduro or do you drive in a figure eight all day in an open field? Just curious.
I like to ride trails with lots of water and mud, but I also did some jumps at the track, definitely recommend boots for track, otherwise I just never thought about getting boots, I was like your rookie rider with a t-shirt some shorts and shoes
I totally understand. Shit is just too expensive. However, once I was seriously injured riding my old RM and well it was not good because I was wearing nikes. After a month on crutches, I bought a pair of used motocross boots and they were worth every penny of the $25.00 I spent back in 1979. Do yourself a favor a at least get a pair of work boots. The added protection is worth it!
Well the Oneal boot is a bit lighter, however comparing these two is difficult since there is just more technology in the Fox Comp boot as it has a $40 advantage in respect to price, so it does offer not just more protection, but flexibility as well !
You have not mentioned anything about the width size, wether it fits tight or more comfortable for more broader feet 🦶 and feel of any of these boots. 👎
