I was a junior when the Vapor VII came out so I will always have fond memories of practicing in those sometimes below freezing for high school ball. I skipped the Vapor VIII because I heard they had durability issues. The IX's and X's were okay but I have really wanted a pair of XI or XII low cut since they were released. I really like that soleplate. I'm sad to see the teijin synthetic go because it evolved into a really durable, soft, waterproof upper that was unique to any other.
Hey Jim, I like that you added the Vapor 8 to the list. My all time favorite shoe, crazy traction for such tiny studs! The downfall was the snapping rear studs and soleplate.
Josh seems to like lockdown but without stiffness that's why he likes the new mercurial very understandable. I like lockdown and medium stiffness that's why I liked the vapor 3 the superfly 5 and the " infamous " hypervenom 2. But as Josh said each person is going to differ, I think his list is great and genuine coming from a person who genuinely tries his boots. Nice video
Back in my youth... and when I could run... I went from the T90 III to the Vapor III, and it was a VERY different experience. But a good one. I preferred a heavier boot back then, but the Vapor was LIGHT. Actually creeped me out a little. Hoping to get back into Football again... because old man weight issues lol... and since the Predator (a boot I've always wanted, but never been fortunate enough to own) has been dead for like 10 years, and the T90 doesn't exist anymore, the Vapor might be my only option, so I may get to feel what playing with a modern boot is like. Have to see what my fat feet can get into first lol
"The Vapors were unique with what they had on offer" You mean the blisters they caused? Ha! No but you're right. Also, I think the Vapor 2s were a really good upgrade over the 1s. I really wish the 8s had four studs on the heel because for me it was the best Vapor made since the 2s.
If only they sold some of these cleats as a special event or something I would 100% buy the vapor 8 in that white and blue color way 😍. Where did you buy yours?

The best mercurial for me was the Mercurial Vapor III. I have scored so many goals with it and it was the greatest quality boot. And i still got the boots but there are so broken 😂 i had very great moments/memorys with it.

Josh you forgot the vapor XI, the feel they have is like the vapor X but in my opinion they feel the most comfortable and they have good traction and touchh
