TOP 5 Catholic movies - I'd strongly recommend these movies - The Passion of the Christ, Song of Bernadette, Thérèse, The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima, Love and Mercy St Faustina.

It is truly a dark valley of death we walk in when persons make movies of issues that don't give the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH and not an edited depiction of it... These movies make Religion, faith, Catholicism look as twisted as those who are wolves in sheep clothing. GOD have mercy on us...for we know not what we do.

Nos. 5-2 are all about bad priests, nuns, etc... - & definitely should be Not be on Top as it doesn't represent the True Catholic Church. Dont judge the Church by their Sinners rather by their Saints..

The best Catholic movie by far is the Passion of the Christ! This movie is straight from the Bible. It is from the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary (Agony in the Garden, Scourging of Jesus at the Piilar, Crowning with Thorns, Carrying of the Cross, Crucifixion in the Cross).

if you're looking for intriguing and inspiring Catholic themed movie I strongly recommend Francesco 2002, Molokai the story of Father Damien 1999 and Alive 1993

NOT TRUE! Especially the #1 here, it’s way off! First of all because this is more a fiction movie. Catholic movies should be as factual as possible. According to Catholic News Service: “Informed Catholic moviegoers will wince at a series of distortions, some of which are downright weird. 4 appalling movies which do nothing for your soul. Honest to God-- none of them are "catholic" shame on communiTV for presenting them as "catholic". The last one with Hopkins (an agnostic) is more respectful but its cliched and very trite to catholics

I was looking for movies to watch on Lent days. As a girl grown up in convent from a very young age, I'm aware of all these things and that's what breaks me more. But I have seen priests who point out these things without fear to those sisters, priests, bishops and even pope. So I'm happy. I'll came back later to watch these movies once the Lent is over(in 4 days)
