Zdeno Chára - former Captain of the Boston Bruins, had a long career in the NHL, known for his work ethic and large size. He used cycling as cross training for hockey, and in retirement has kept up with endurance sports, has run several marathons, and has recently completed a half ironman.

It’s more BMX but Marshawn Lynch has his own SE Ripper and Slash still rides and collects old BMX bikes.

Two Celebrities come to mind: 1) Kraftwerk. There song "Tour de France" is a great spin class warm up. The recording schedule was build around TdF stages. Some think their career got de-railed from their addiction to watching stages on tv or driving to France to watch in person. 2) Barry Bonds. After BB's retirement from baseball, he started looking for ways to loose some weight and settled on road cycling. He got incredibly fit training on the roads/climbs of NorCal (including Mt. Tamalpais). Bonds was seen at several Tour of California stages and raced several Gran Fondos.

Rush drummer Neil Peart wrote a book about cycling in Africa. Read it.

Tim Commeford, Rage Against the Machine's bassist, would definitely be on my list. He's into mountain and road, and I swear (though I can't prove it even after a Google search) that I saw a photo of him bunny-hopping some fans outside a show.

You should also add Reggie Miller to your list, the former Indiana Pacers All Star,is definitely an avid cyclist and someone who also loves to race. Then there is Bill Walton another famous NBA player, who also owns many custom bikes.

Gordon Ramsay - The celebrity chef is a triathlete and includes cycling as a key part of his training. Ellen Page - Known for her role in "Juno," Page is an avid cyclist. Woody Harrelson - The actor is a fan of biking and often uses it as a means to explore new cities while traveling.

Its no surprise that Tom Pidcock loves bikes but did you know he was asked at a cyclocross end of season dinner, if you could only ride one bike for the rest of your life what would it be? Perhaps a road bike, a cyclocross bike or a gravel bike? Nope, his answer was a downhill mountain bike! Legend.

I 100% AGREE WITH SAMMY!!! I knew nothing about bicycles (other than being a kid in one), until I decided to do a cross country ride with my then 17 year old. Because of the lack of knowledge, I went and worked at my LBS to learn all I could so I could fix anything that went wrong for us. I quickly learned THAT I WILL NEVER OWN ANYTHING SPECIALIZED!!!!!!! They are nothing BUT design thiefs!!!

Lance was hunted down because he was at the top and they felt it would send the clearest message. Was it right? No. But god we loved it while it lasted, huh?

Didn't know a couple of these "celebrities" and some of the other ones only dabble or dabbled in bikes. Shaq??? He just owns a few bikes, but I don't know if he is considered a "biker". How about some true bikers? Emmit Smith, Reggie Miller, Jimmie Johnson, Brett Favre, etc. These people actually get on a bike and pound on a regular basis.
