hummel h5 with 21 gal capacity, 85hp, and sub $18k is a steal! Excalibur would be the 2 seater choice of these

Remeber a passenger and pilot makes 2😁😁 . The Sonex or H5 for me . They actualy look like aircraft to me.

Right I was VERY confused when he said a pilot or a passenger, well you ALWAYS need a pilot.... So did he mean just 1 person being the pilot or a pilot AND A PASSENGER. which after reading your comment I'm guessing and hoping it's 2 people total: 1 pilot AND 1 passenger

Unfortunately, the Belite factory was destroyed in a fire in 2019 and the company ceased operating. Not sure if/how you can obtain parts for repair.

The Exalibur is copy of the successful Challenger 2 designed by Dave Goulet.

For those requirements, your best bet would be ultralight experimental planes.

For those you gotta set your sights down a notch to part 103 ultralights. for 2 seaters you need a traditional pilot's license but for more range and speed you need at least a sport license which means yeah, medical, radio capabilities, stuff like that. Most ultralights have tiny motors not much over 40 hp, single cylinder, 2 cycle engines. most of them don't sport electric start either.
