My 5yr old wants to see your top 5 class C with bunk beds. I’ll look for it, but he really wanted me to comment (: his name is Thomas and he loves your channel!
I agree with your #1... like the idea of the bunks in the rear that normally are wardrobe but can be used as needed for bunks. IMHO, Two baths is a waste of a space; this is better; one full bath would be great and use the 1/2 bath for additional storage or improve the kitchen. love the openness when you walk into the RV. Curious, what is the typical financial profile of someone buying a $300k RV?
You had me at #5, but I'm in love with #1! I love the color and the layout. Even tho we FT with kids I could see using the bunk house daily. Plus the kids would love having a more remote place in the RV to get away. Thanks for sharing.
Requirements: 1. Wife wants mid entry. The bus style entry will never do. 2. I need power and smooth chassis, so most likely diesel with Frieghtliner or better yet, a Spartan chassis 3. Boy/girl Twins need their own full time bunks, not shared 4. Wife and I both want the king bed as we've already invested in a great RV King mattress 5. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, induction cooktop fills in the rest. So that Palazzo was the best pick with mid entry, but fell short because of the queen bed (Matt forgot to mention the size). So now currently considering Newmar Canyon Star 3929 w/rear bunks. Any other choices out there?
Nice list but my wife and I went into every class A pusher at the 21 super show in Tampa and we loved the Berkshire XL 40e. It checked off all the important boxes. Why don't you have reviews of the Forest River coaches? They are beautiful. We met at the show too.
Was at the Tampa RV show currently have a short Winnie Vista bunk house and was looking at DP's. Our actual favorites ended up being the Discovery LXE 40g, which that floorpan has been around forever, and the Newmar Kountry Star 4045. Both single bath, you sacrifice a lot of living space for two baths, especially two full baths. Both the 40g and KS 4045 had much more privacy due to being more spread out and not going through master to bunks etc. Have always liked the Palazzo 33.5, shortest DP bunk you can buy and with mid entry you get that awesome work desk up front which my Vista has. If you work from road that desk is a must! Wish more manufacturers would go mid entry, love going out under awning and front desk.
Wow! I just feel in love with the number 1 coach!!! By the way I have NSA braking system on my toad pulled by a 2021 Jayco Precept . NSA stuff is legit.
I do like the beds in the back, but price wise the Thor at #2 is closer to what I would get. There's enough variety on the list, anyone should find what they want, good job!
I would have flipped your order. If I were buying a bunkhouse I would want 2 full baths d/t having at least 4 extra people (guests or kids), the 38N has the biggest bathroom of the full bath models, I would agree that the Entegra aspire 44R with the half bath in the rear would be in the top 5 for sure, take out the palazzo with 1 bath. I love the 38N (Discovery, Navigator etc)
Are you planning to do full, individual, in depth reviews of all of these units that you've not already got videos for? I like this short and sweet style, but when I see one I like, I'd like to be able to see all aspects and the MSRP. I know you guys may not carry all the models, was just wondering for the ones you do. One of the videos the other day had links in the description to full reviews. Was looking for something like that
Great reviews. If you could give us prices it would be helpful. Glimpses of some price tags aren't enough. Thanks. Also, thanks to NSA tow bars for sponsoring this video.
Very good presentation! I agree with your summary on each motorhome. Keep up the good work. Hope you that you review the Discovery LXE 36HQ in the near future. Best, Steve & Deb from Western Mass.
Matt, thank you for the video. I was trying to write down the models and used your tags in the video to make sure I got them correct, but the #5 Holiday Rambler Navigator says 30A and I can't quite understand what you are saying in the video. My husband thinks this is a 38N. Can you clarify this pretty please? We are seriously looking for bunks and drop down in a diesel.
Matt I'm like Andrea when it comes to Fleetwood and I absolutely love number one but I do think I'd made sure number one had a washer and dryer....still love you though
I'd like to hear what puts the Thor Palazzo above the Thor Aria 4000? Is this just based on price? I am considering purchasing an Aria 4000, and to me, it is a better floorplan...larger basement storage, and 2 full baths. Can you tell me why I should consider the Palazzo instead?? I am not trying to be snarky, just wondering if I am missing something here.
Matt. Good quick review, I like your choices, and no fast forwarding while you and Andrea open 36 cabinets :) I like the bunk models. Can you delete the drop down bunk in the driver area on this model? Thanks again, great work exceeding 100K subscribers.
Not sure the kids would appreciate sleeping next to the toilet, and the noise/smells that accompany a bathroom. This Fleetwood Discovery needs the Bunkbed sofa in the LR which I saw on a Dutchstar in a different video.
Any idea what is happening with the Sportscoach 410ES? Similar to 402TS, but bigger kitchen and mid-chassis 1/2 bath instead of full bath. Also, supposed to have BOW.
Personally, I would chosen to go with the endeavour or discovery 38N. The navigator and pace arrow lxe have zero tow capacity and aren't all electric like the discovery. It's a slightly higher price point but driving around in a 40 ft class a with kids is going to need a toad and the pace arrow lxe/navigator can't do that for ya
Matt, can you answer for me, why the manufacturers use white furniture for an RV designed to take kids along? Do they not have children and not understand what I'm getting at here? I am going crazy to figure out the answer to this, so many manufacturers do this and I really want to know why.
I have to disagree that the Fleetwood Discover isn't "everyday bunk use". I think it's perfect for parents with young children. The kids have to walk past you to leave the rig which is peace of mind in my opinion.
I can't figure out why you don't comment on the passenger seat not being able to recline / ): -- and the fact that 99.9% of owners don't need 2 full baths / I cant imagine 2 showers running at the same time, those should be 1./2 baths with linen closet in place of the shower stall
Sadly to say Matt your top 5 on this video is not on point. THE DISCOVERY LXE 40G AND THE 38N should have been in the top5 in this class.By the way Thor builds Junk.
🤮.. That Fleetwood Discovery floor plan has to be the absolute worse I've ever seen, the clown designer should be fired.. So kids or whoever uses the bunk area has to go through the main bedroom if they want access to the rest of the motorhime, and or be confined to the bathroom area, that is horrid.. A prime example of being different to be different can go really wrong..
Thors are pieces of junk. I owned a motorhome by them and that thing had nothing but issues, Where are the Forest River Berkshires at? Tiffin? Remember people you get what you pay for. Sometimes its worth paying more to get better quality. After all, if your going to spend 250K - 300K you want something that won't fall apart.
