My theory about the key of Aaravos: Aaravos is a powerful High Mage, right? So the key "unlocking something of great power in Xadia" could mean that when Callum learns to use every type of Primal Magic on the Key, Aaravos will be set free from his prison of many centuries, which will be a huge problem for Callum Rayla and Ezran. And, with Viren still alive, Viren will work with Aaravos again and because Aaravos is no longer imprisoned could manipulate Viren even more than he already has, making him more evil than ever.
I honestly really like this theory, I can just imagine Callum being at his peek; about to make his connection with the last Arcanum, everybody's excited and happy and then *boom* Aaaravos has been set free all of a sudden
That was my thoughts too but I think the caterpillar dude might metamorphosis into aavaravos which I think is likelier as we see it’s becoming something new ,in the book it says whenever callus drops the cube it leaves marks pointing in the same direction getting longer as they got to zadia, I imagine this key will change the status quoe severely
I’m sure they have some kind of connection but I’m pretty sure the creators confirmed that Callum is completely human, if anyone is partially elf I think it would be Ezran.
What? How? If the Mom is pure human since Callum is pure and the King is also pure, then wouldn't it mean Ezran is also full human? I think Callum's Dad also practiced primal magic or his Mom did and hid it from people since she was so compassionate towards magical creatures, idk.
So uhm, I hate to break this to anyone but uh... Aaravos was locked in his "prison" for 300 years, so he can't possibly be Callum's father. Although I'm a huge stan of the theory that Aaravos COULD be Callum's ancestor (which would also validate the "Sarai and Amaya as well are more than common humans"), it has been confirmed that A. Callum's 100% human and B. humans actually CAN DO primal magic and Callum isn't the first one: before the split of the land, humans could learn about the magical system under some elven guidance (the artbook also confirms this by saying that before the division between humans and elves, the Moon nexus was also a school where it was possible to learn about moon magic and that's why it has many bedrooms), which sometimes, although very very VERY rarely, resulted in a human connecting to a primal source (so I guess that also would throw away the "Aaravos Key" theory, although yes, there has to be more to it than being a glowing cube...). However not only this was, again, incredibly rare, but Xadia has been split on two for 1000 years, so this unlikely although possibile circumstance has been forgotten. As for the "Harrow is in Peep's body" theory, that's basically confirmed true by the novel of the first book, in which Callum, when he goes to warn Harrow about the egg, notices that, as Viren gets out of the room, his eyes where going back to normal from being completely black, which happens after a powerful spell. However, I don't remember where I read this, the creators said that for Ezran to figure about the Harrow-Peep thing was the original plan, but that changed after season 2. I don't remember why, but I assume that it just wouldn't be fair for either Callum or Ezran after making them go through the pain of dealing with Harrow's death...and I think it's actually better like this.
I also remember reading something about Harrow in Peep being the original plan. but that it was scratched to mark the significance of Harrow's death. Besides, I think if he was in the bird they've taken way too long to reveal it and it would be kind of pointless now.

Okay I know everyone wants Harrow alive but I have proof that says other wise. 1). If King Harrows soul is not dead then the assassins' band would not fall off. 2). The Dragon Prince confirmed he is dead. 3). Well this is my option but King Harrows death left a dent in peoples lives but it also involve character development. 4). Also if King Harrow was alive then he would be King and Ezran has to step down but the directors said Ezran will be King.
I don't want king Harrow alive tbh that much...there would be a whole episode of useless reunion and ezran already makes choices like a grown up men. No offence to any one that wants king Harrow alive but there is only 9 episodes on a season and there is much more they could add or reveal interesting mysteries rather than one that wouldn't really effect anything that much
First off although it makes me sad, I do hope that harrow is actually dead because it adds significance and meaning to everything that has happened since. That being said I have to poke a few holes in your arguments. If Viren forcefully switched harrow and pip it would explain him almost mocking the bird in a later episode saying something like “what no happy song for the occasion?” Furthermore the assassin band didn’t fall off until the leader elf (I forget his name) sent his magical arrow to the queen of the dragons which is why she believes him to be dead, when in reality it was only harrows body that was killed while containing the birds spirit. Lastly I assume Viren will die and harrow will be trapped as the bird forever, so although he will be able to reunite with Ezran (and they will be able to communicate), Ez will still be king while being mentored from harrow on his shoulder. Basically it could go either way but if the writers wanted to they could easily bring this theory of his survival to reality Thoughts?
I was wondering if as a punishment Aaravos soul was put into the mirror which is why he doesn’t know where he is. If this is the case then Aaravos may be trying to take Viren’s body. Or he was using Viren to collect enough magic to make make a new body using his little bug pal

Oooooo, If Aaravos may be related to Callum he must have fallen in love with a human but who could the girlfriend in question be? There is also a small possibly that Aaravos could be Callum's father if Sari is more than a human and could have lived for more than 300 years and met Aaravos.
Here my theory about Callum's bloodline: Theory 1: I think his true father is Aaravos. I mean if you compare them to each other, they look pretty similar and remember the part of season 2 (I guess) when Callum was reading the letter from his step-dad. And told him that he's the only one or he could be the person who can open Aaravos' prison. Theory 2: Plus, he mastered the wind (aspero), the lightning (fulminus), and the ability to have wings (I forgot what it is 😅). Come to think of it Aaravos mastered everything, and Callum can be the most powerful mage in their history. Theory 3: His mom was probably an elf or a half elf. I mean when you look at some of the episodes in season three, she was so concern about killing a creature and take its heart. Theory 4: Ezran can talk to animals. I mean the King doesn't have any-powers like his son, Ezran has. And yes, maybe King Harrow would've agreed to ''Lord'' Viren to switch his soul to someone, and that someone is probably the bird. I'm not really sure if this will happen but these are my theories. TBH, I'm really more concern about Callum's true Father is, if it's really Aaravos, I'd celebrate in my room and jump around like crazy. 😂😂😂
I don't really like the idea of Callum's father being Aaravos or an elf because it would mean all the hard work he put into to become a mage was for nothing. Kf you don't understand please watch Thoery pops video about this topic.

I think it's pretty likely that the next arcanum Callum will learn will be the moon arcanum. He has already cast a moon spell using the moon opal, and he has some of his dialogue when he's thinking about how to trick Sol Regem suggests that he's been pondering what he was told about the moon arcanum.

Soren already switched sides from his father to King Ezran and he proofed his loyality to the kingdom, when he stabbed his own father, Lord Viren to protect King Ezran right after the battle. Unfortunately it was just a illusion. So there is no way Soren also noticed the manipulating behaviour of his dad. At first glance i thought claudia would switch, espacially when they were at the Moon Nexus. However now that there is this love bond between Callum and Rayla, there is no need, that Claudia switch sides. What i think must happen: Runaan will be freed from his coin prison. When Rayla and Callum visited the Moonshadaw elves village, his lamp wasn't at the surface anymore, but still shiny underwater. However at that point, it would also be possible, that other characters might be freed. So the last theory might be possible. Also yes, there is a bit of an unbalance between evil and good. So there might additional characters at evil side or sb who switches.
my theory is that the reason why aravose knows every primal source because he used dark magic so basically hes a star touch elf so he already has one primal source and he learned dark magic and he used dark magic to suck the essences out of things and bonus theory how he got the fire source is he used dark magic on keshas grandmother and thats how he has the fire magic and why he has the fire arcanem
Aditi and her other comrades could be humans, maybe Araavos transformed them. So maybe on of them not Aditi of course could be the related to Sarai and Amaya. They are special.
#5 I don't, as a rule, like it when they resurrect characters because it undercuts the emotional impact that a death should have. There are situations in which someone's death and resurrection will help develop the characters and plot, but Harrow's death is too important a part of Calumn's, Esra's and Rayla's emotional development to throw out just for the sake of a feel good moment. #4 I think that humans had always had the potential to learn primal magic, they just needed help which the elves and dragons were too arrogant to provide. It would mean that no one was completely blameless and might help with the reconciliation that is needed. #3 From what I've seen of Aaravos, he seem too arrogant to have had a "romantic relation" with a human, which elves and dragons considered an inferior race. I do agree that he may have worked with certain humans to find a way to do magic beyond his own primal source which lead to humans cracking the code for dark magic. I believe that what Calumn had was an elfin friend, not and elfin ancestor. #2 See above two responses. Bonus Theory: Why would anyone believe that? #1 Saying that the dragons were the real villains is as overly simplistic as saying that the humans were the real villains. Sol Ragem may have not been as noble as we were initially led to believe, but the series has shown more than once that it's wrong to pigeon hole an entire group of people, and that individuals can rise above their mistakes.
Aaravos isn't as arrogant as other elves . He has a special interest in Humans since one offered him a red fruit . There is said to be 2 sides of him , one is just plain kindness another is just wanting to be worshipped . He saved the survivors of Ellarion , the city razed to the ground by Sol Regem after Ziard the dark mage wielding Viren's staff died .

Aaravos may have been motivated by compassion when he saved the residents of that city, or he may have had plans that required their survival. His attitude may have changed during his imprisonment, but what he had Viren and Claudia do to their army seems cruel and what he did to the queen of the Sunfire elves looked down right sadistic. Finally, just because an intellectual is intrigued with a creature, that doesn't mean he will want to mate with that creature.

But look what Amaya has for fighting Abilitys she beat Rayla and some elves handily and even beat Janai in her heatform. She also beat alone her Whole Bataillon without getting hit. She and Sarai are so incredibly strong. 🤔
There are 3 reasons that I could think of that prove Aaravos isnt Callum's father: 1. At some point (dont ask me when bc idk when) they said Callum's father was dead, but that isnt the case if it's Aaravos! 2. Aaravos has been trapped inside a mirror for the past few centuries, and im 1000% sure Callum's mom wasnt born by than, let alone an adult! 3. Even if they used the blood-bond thingie like Aaravos and Viren did, (which isnt possible btw, seeing as even Aaravos's mirror has been out of touch from the human kingdoms until years AFTER queen Sarai's death) then Callum wouldnt even look human, be able to speak, walk normally, or draw well! These facts conclude to how there is no possible way Aaravos is Callum's dad. End. Of. STORY!!!
IT IS FREAKING CANON MY BOI! the creators said it themselves and in the show in season 1 episode 3 Viren calls him Mongrel which is an offensive term for halfblood! I swear if Aaravos is not related to Callum in some way I am starting a raid to the writers and changing it! WHO'S WITH ME???!!!
Some theories of mine: 1. Aavaros was the one who gave Ziard his magic staff. 2. Viren LET Queen Sarai die, so he would be closer King Harrow. 3. Viren and his wife Lissa argued over his use of dark magic, but using it to heal Soren was the last straw. So one of the reasons Viren is abusive towards Soren is because Lissa left the family because he had to save his son who grew up as a disappointment. But Viren didn't regret using dark magic though. 4. Viren loses his ability to use dark magic upon being resurrected, since Aavaros sees Claudia as a more valuable asset. Without dark magic in his system, Viren will realize his horrible mistakes and switch sides. 5. If ANYONE is gonna become evil, it might be Callum. Since he dabbled into dark magic, and the scene where he finds the mirror is similar to Viren...
Well.. I don't think Callum and Aaravos are ancestors! And I also don't think the Cube can give humans magical powers! And I do think queen Sarai was human... I don't know if king Harrow still lives, but it's very unlikely too! And no, the former kings of the (elves and) dragons might have been rude, but they are definitely not the bad guys! At first: I don't believe Callum and Aaravos are ancestors, because that would take the great meaning of Callum, a human, learning an orcanum and connect to the sky away! It is so special because everybody thought only creatures born with the connection could be able to use the magic of the primal source! Callum told us how he thinks it works (ending of season 2 "breathe"),and Captain Villads and Lujanne shared their wisdom with us too... again: Callum and Aaravos being somehow connected, or Sarai being no human would destroy the whole meaning of Callum learning magic! I can't explain Ezrins ability to COMMUNICATE with (not talk to) animals, but: if Aaravos was Callums father.. how did he get out of the mirror? And if Sarai would not be human, is there ANYTHING that proves this?? Maybe she just had a kind, good heart and was a little smarter than other humans!?! It's more likely that she made her connection too! And the cube will DEFINITELY not unlock some mystical magic chamber filled with primal energy! It's propably a key for the mirrior Aaravos is trapped in, or when the owner masters all 7 sources, the cube opens and something is inside, or smth like that... As Callum told us, the world is like a giant primal stone and everyone is inside of it, but it's also inside him with every breath he takes, and he's been trying hard to figure out how Birds and sales and Villads made their/his connection to the sky, and to find his wings, but that's it: He.Is.The.Wing!!!! (Aaaand life is like a river😅) And king Harrow still being alive would take the message within/of his sacrifice!And if anyone makes up other stupid theories about Aaravos + Sarai = Callum and Ezrin, or Cube -> primal magic for humans -> peace (these are just examples), get Callums spellbook, watch the series again, and use your brain next time... Rayla is a main character, and Soren might not be the smartest, but he has a good heart, and he, of all the other characters, made the biggest change! Claudia turned out be be very evil, and Soren surprisingly good hearted! And I don't think the elves and dragons are evil, just blind.. same as humans..! What gets me is that Sarai and Especially Amaya are incredible strong fighters, Callum is a Mage and Ezran talks to animals, that's to much for a lucky coincidence
I have an origin theory that could explain why Callum can use magic, and the origin of elves. Long story short, Elves are humans. If you want a deeper explanation just ask.

If we expand on this one can come to the theory that all magic, if given enough time, can change people. Take this to the world building theory that in the beginning there were no elves. Humans learned to use primal magic and it inevitably caused them to develop into tribes. Using wind as an example, parents taught children how to forge their own primal source, until magic caused the lineage of forging their primal connection to become natural. With a natural primal connection the people's bodies started to mutate into something akin to dragons (The horns, the ears, and the number of digits are very similar to dragons.) Eventually the previous humans, now elves forgot that they were humans (can easily be explained because history at the time was mostly oral and nothing was written). Humans and "elves" discovered one another and humans started (re)learning magic. This could explain why Callum can forge his own connection to primal magic, It's been done before. This can also explain the origin of elves, Generations of magic users using the same magic. Thus Elves are humans. TL-DR Elves are humans but after generations of magic mutating them, and the elves forgot their origins.
With the new short story that released on the website it had a picture of aavaroses hand and 3 figures, one was already fallen down (I struggled to identify that one) the second was of viren who was about to be knocked down and the third left standing was of callum. I think calum is In danger of aaravos. And with the trailer where he actually turns viren into a stone figure shows that he really had no care for him, (the recent poem on the website suggesting that humans were of no importance to startouch elves) but I think perhaps aaravos did have something to do with humans and dark magic, perhaps he introduced it and that's why he got trapped in the mirror. I think maye he could be related to ezran in some way, on his birthday post we were given two short paragraphs where it described a human picking an apple off a tree for him, the 800 year old apple tree in the castles courtyard could be evidence that it was the first Queen of katolis who gave him the apple. So his imprisonment in the mirror has to have been less than eight hundred years ago too. And if the key of aaravos was passed down generation to generation then that makes it almost certain the first queen of katolis had met aavaros and been close enough to give him an apple and perhaps he gave her the key? and ezrans ability to talk to animals is not very human-like so perhaps he does have some sort of blessing or elf in his bloodline?
I'm sorry but no. When King Harrow was crowned as King, Ezran was already alive based on the portrait and since Callum is older than Ezran, he was already arrived at that time. When the Dragon King died, the Queen was already dead which means the King explained to the boys the death of their mother years prior the Dragon King's death. So no, he's probably not a reincarnation of the Dragon King.
The season 4 trailers show Aaravos to be a master political puppeteer. The original dark mage mentioned to Sol Regem that his staff was a gift. I believe Aaravos deliberately showed humans Dark Magic to create the rift between civilisations. Because while humans lack magic, they make up for it in raw numbers. If Aaravos wants control, one of the most conventional tactics is divide and conquer. The only complication is that I can’t think of why beyond the generalisation of domination.

My theory about magic: If I remember correctly, from the very beginning, magical beings believed that humans did not have magical abilities due to the fact that they were not connected to one of the 6 aspects like other beings. Such an example. Suppose the magic of every creature in Xadia is like a book. It is only described in reference to one aspect of magic. Humans, on the other hand, are like a empty book waiting to be described. Humans are not connected to any aspect, because they can choose any aspect. The moon elf can only start learning lunar magic, and the human can choose any. (sorry if this sound like shit, but i used google translator for this)
I think that the cube (or ‘Key of Aarovos’-King Harrow) will release Arrovous from his prison in the mirror. That’s why the cube ended up in the human kingdom and the mirror in Zumbaia’s sleeping room
this is my opinion but I think that Aaravos is actually going to possess lord Viren because in the last episode the bug has made him into a cacoon also Aaravos is stuck in a prison and he doesn't know where he is. furthermore, Viren said 'should I trust you' and then Aaravos said 'you shouldn't yet' (not much of a clue). The last clue to this is Aaravos has already done this once (once lord Viren was being arrested) so I wouldn't see why he wouldn't do it again.
I think aravos is callum secrret dad. Cuz in the episode when he was unconscious from the dark magic trick for the first time in his dream his mother said something about his his father being mysterious could this be him cuz he fake being a human or something. To get to the that surely queen years ago. Whatever happens can't wait.
Uh, I have the theory that Sarai and Amaya are not fully human. I mean they are both incredibly strong, Ezran can talk to animals and Callum is a Mage. That can't be a coincidence. Amaya beat Rayla handily, beat her Whole Bataillon all at once without getting a hit and beat Janai. And beat a few other elves too. Sarai was also a strong Warrior. Imagine Araavos transformed his old comrades for example Aditi into humans and Sarai and Amaya are descended of one of them, not Aditi.

Aaravos is a dragon taking on the form of an elf. Or can take on the form of a dragon because he’s half dragon or absorbed the magical energy of a dragon(s) or it’s egg. I feel like he’s gonna have a cool Maleficent like dragon transformation.
Aravos taught humans dark magic a long time ago it is the explanation of aravos that disappears in the book if you translate it...thats why he is locked up when we see him...he also had a human lover so the callum theory could be true too
