I just repurchased the Magic Perfecting Base today. I love how smooth my cheeks and nose look and feel after I apply it. The only downside is that it is a small jar that you need to dip into so I definitely replace it on or before the expiration date. I picked it up today at Walmart for a little over $10 so the price varies, but it is a bit on the higher end for drug store products. I love these top 5 videos!
the loreal magic base is my holy grail!! I love it. It fills in my pores and acne scars that are like little holes on my cheek and it works great. love it
I love the NYX pore filler and the catrice one! I also really like the NYX hydra touch for underneath my eyes! I never have a problem with cakey concealer when I use it.
I could listen to u for hours, im 49 and new to wearing makeup, you are my go to for recomandations and how to apply, u deserve so many more subbies😀 love your channel
Girl, I love how your videos are pretty much all about drugstore makeup! And I especially love how informative you are in all your videos! They are so helpful :)
I love watching your videos! Your should try using milk of magnesia under your primer! It helps control the oil. I used it for years when I was younger. Look it up... it's an old trick.
I'm going to try the Catrice. I'd never heard of it. I to have oily skin with large pores in certain areas. I really like your video on your skincare routine. I bought the CeraVe, it's really helping to control the oil. This hot humid Kentucky weather is terrible on oily skin.
Could you do a top 5 eyeshadow primer video? Preferably some that are non-comedogenic and for oily lids. I'm worried that some drugstore products may be harmful to my sensitive eyes. Btw i love this series!! Would you ever be willing to do part 2 of some of your previous videos? In the event that you found more products that deserve to be top 5 :)
I've been looking at the Lumi primer for a while but wasn't sure about it. I've read a lot of mixed reviews but I'm definitely going to check it out. I really liked the Lumi concealer especially for those days where I prefer a more natural dewy look.
I'd love to see you try The Phillips Milk of Magnesia & the Nivea sensitive after shave balm, when they are used as primer. I've seen that a lot on RU-vid, they are cult favorites, and you have my skin type, so I'd love your opinion/review of those!
Hi Taylor, I love your channel, and look forward to more videos. My favorite are your Top 5 videos and when you review a brand. Thank you and God bless!
Love all your videos!! I have been priming my face being I have oily skin, just down in South Louisiana Matte foundation sometimes doesn't work especially with Estee Lauder double wear so I picked up the Loreal light lumi and add half a pump and mix in with my double wear and works wonders no cake face but stay rather matte with a few touch ups!!! so glad I came across your channel..
Awwww! You're so sweet💙 I have the NYX pore filler one but to be honest I used it one time didn t like something (I don't even remember what) and never took it back out of the box. I'll give it another try to see what happens. That Loreal one was amazing! I have normal to dry skin but more combo in the summer. And these pores are just disrespectful so I am really interested in that one. I've never even noticed it in the store.
You look so gorgeous in red!! I just bought The Ordinary primer and foundation. Can't wait to try it. BTW, having oily skin at your age means you will have beautiful skin when you are older!! I am 55 and get lots of compliments on my skin.(I also made a decision when I was 30 to stay out of the sun!) When I was your age, I wish I could tell you how many packages of blotter paper I went through! AND, it was difficult to find a foundation for oily skin back then. So, future Taylor should be glad for oily skin!!!!!
BTW, I have completely changed my skin care routine using The Ordinary products. Even my husband could tell a difference in ONE WEEK! Although, it is important to know that I have very normal skin that can handle the acid products.
I picked up Catrice Prime N Fine thinking it was an Essence product (was in the wrong place at Ulta) but it was a happy mistake. I love it! ❤️🇺🇸 Thanks for the video!
I love this makeup look on you. You were made for red lipstick! Can you do a video that shows your favorite oily/ acne prone skin makeup of all time? Also, I would love if you could do the hygiene tag video, because I love your opinion & im interested what body washes, lotion, hair, and shaving products you love, and what your routine is!
I was waiting for this video! Primers are so important and it is often very difficult to find one that works for me. I usually use up to 3 primers so that my makeup stays put since I have really dry cheeks and a super oily nose. Ughhh why does my skin have to be so complicated. Anyways, amazing video. I am definitely going to try a few.
Thanks for this great video! I have very, very dry skin but I enjoy your content so much because you give examples for different skin needs. I picked up the Physician's Formula powder with SPF based on your recommendation because I have a long commute and it's an awesome powder!
Thanks for another really informative video! I feel like I can walk into my drugstore and really be able to make the right decision for me. You're helping so many people, Maven. And I, for one, am really appreciative! Big hugs from CO! Xo
I have finally gotten the new Maybelline Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder! And I love it!!! I apply it lightly over my foundation (Revlon Whipped Creme Foundation, I have two other foundations to try it with: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless and Cover girl Clean Matte foundation). It sets it so nicely and smooths out my pores, leaving behind such a wonderful, soft finish! Thank you so much for that previous video! Think you can review the Wet n Wild Color Correcting Cushions? I love the purple one so far (I hope to get the green one and peach one soon) and I want to hear your thoughts on it if possible!
Holy moly! That L'Oréal primer looks amazing! Your pore like disappeared. I totally need to check some of these out! I actually have tried any of these so I'm excited to try them.
Our skin doesn't technically "breathe" but I do know what you meant, if we wear too many products it can lead to clogged pores which in turn can lead to acne. I'm not sure where that myth originated about our skin needing to breathe. Thank you for all the info very detailed, greatly appreciated.
So excited to try your recommendations!! I've been searching for something to help with pores I have the same problem!! LOVE all your videos 💁🏼💕 OXOXO from California!! 🌞😎
Hi new subscriber here ☺ It's great to find someone with similar pores to myself that demonstrates and recommends affordable products! I wish I could find the L'oreal magic perfecting base in the UK. It's great to find a video that's uploaded recently 💞
I really love your channel I just subscribed because I truly enjoy and appreciate your honesty and simplicity. You don't complicate your videos but you do take your time to explain everything oh so well to us. I thank you for that. I am normal skin never dry, never oily but I do have a few pores around my cheeks what is the best suggestion you can give me ?? should I use the Loreal one just for the pores and the Wet n Wild for the entire face ?? thank you and keep on the great job, you have my support. 👍👏✌💙
I recently found your channel and have to say I love how you have fully committed your channel to drugstore products. It is really nice to count on you for drugstore reviews :)
I like!!!!! Am so surprised when I watch your videos bc you don't use filler words like LIKE and UM and YOU KNOW and stuff like that. You're so informative and such a good speaker!!!!!
Great video!! Thank you for doing this series, it is very helpful❣Love all your videos. Beautiful as always 😍💕💕💕 Much love all the way from Trinidad 🤗😙
I just started watching your videos and I'm so glad I found you! I love how articulate you are and how straight to the point you are. I love that I finally found someone who loves drugstore makeup and knows what she's doing with makeup. Also, thank you for being so knowledgeable about all skin types. Got to love that complicated skin right? ;) I feel like it's hard to find beauty RU-vidrs with humility and grace like you now. :)
I love how you always present products that are not often mentioned! I gotta add the Catrice primer and the L'Oréal magic base one to my list of primers to try! Thank you so much! 💗
Lily Casas that's one of the things I love about her too. She takes me out of my comfort zone and makes me want to venture more. She shares so many great products...
Thanks ! I am a 64 year old male with combo oily skin, and skin discolorations. As you age your t-zone is oily, but the sides of your face become drier and dehydrated, so the primer info was great! Thank You Again !
I'm so glad that I subscribed to you. The content of your videos is amazing and I just want you to have more subscribers in the future because you truly deserve it
Dear Mrs Taylor, First of all, I LOVE your channel, your videos and your bright personality and enthusiasm shining through! Some products, I want to own so badly because of your videos but are unavailable here in Belgium... That's always a bummer but more and more are being sold via online stores or apps in neighbouring countries so I always get excited when I see a brand like Burt's Bees pop up as new brand on one of my favourite makeup app stores! And one last thing before I get to what I actually want to say... I think you are an incredibly beautiful woman, really! Your eyes, lips, bone structure, hair,... So bloody gorgeous! So what I actually wanted to ask is this: have you ever tried the Essence Fresh & Fit Awake primer (healthy glow, pore minimizing effect with vitamin complex and cranberry water)? I bought this after using the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Minimizing primer for a long time and even though my skin is extremely dry, it gave me some brake-outs and clogged pores. This one from Essence does (to my humble opinion) a great job at minimizing pores and evening out your skin, I even dare to say that it does its job as good as the Maybelline primer on my skin. But it is a lot cheaper and it seems to be better for my skin. Since I live in Belgium and Essence is a German brand, I suppose products come out sooner here than in America so I don't know whether you can get it in America already but for me it is a perfect replacement for the Maybelline primer. I would LOVE to hear your opinion on this particular primer! I do not know how it reacts to oily skin though. Also, I recently purchased a blush by Rimmel that I think would really be one that you would like (and ofc I would love to hear your opinion!). It is called the Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush, and I have it in the shade Pink Rose (120) which is kind of a peachy, pink tone and I know you like those kinds of colours for your blush. So I was hoping you would try out these two products and give me your opinion on them, tell me what you think. I get it if you don't have time for something like that, but a girl can hope, right? ;-) Thanks in advance for your answer because I have learned already that you always answer and that is an incredible feat for someone with that many subscribers. I truly have immense respect for that! Greetings and have a nice day/evening (I don't know the time difference exactly)! Layne
Hi! I just wanna say that I really love your videos!! I was wondering if you would venture out into making videos on high-end makeup some time as well :)
Thank You so much for your wonderful videos ❤️I so Value your opinion. I love makeup and am so happy I found you I don't find any who dedicates 100% to just drugstore makeup. I love that there are so many hidden gems there. Love yeah ❤️
Please do a "cheapest face" makeup tutorial using your cheapest products for each category! // soon a most expensive face ((video idea by robin from robins cup of tea here on yt))
If you see this while in the comments and you've used the product please let me know if the loreal magic primer is good for using on spots where makeup won't stay on. My nose refuses to keep makeup on and it's so frustrating. Granted I wear glasses and have major allergies.
